Pork egg roll and fried rice with orange chicken and chicken with mushrooms

Food was excellent. Staff was friendly and quick. The ambiance was not that much since it was inside a food court.

Stopped by Asian Chao for dinner near my daughter's volleyball practice. We're not allowed inside the school where she practices during COVID-19 so parents have to find something to do for two hours. So this is part of what I did during my two hours. I was hungry and I needed to visit T-Mobile at Summit Mall. I figured I would stop by one of the fast food stands in the mall for dinner. Based on what was available, this seemed like a decent option. I requested spicy bourbon chicken with a side of veggies. When I opened the styrofoam container, it was more like veggies with a side of chicken. And she tried to get me to buy double meat, but the only time I do that is at Jimmy Johns. Anyway, the grub was tasty, if not a bit watery. It was kind of late and the food looked like it had been sitting there for a while. Maybe I'll try a different food stand next time. The mall had nearly no people in it.

I had to go into the mall to get measured for a suit and decided to check out the food court for lunch. The food court is pretty small and doesn't have many options, but I was in a mood for Asian food. The first thing I noticed was how rude the employees were. It seemed as if they were pushing me to get through the line as fast as possible which was weird to me since I had no one behind me and a few customers in from of me. I went with the two option combo. Selected the fried rice, general tao's chicken and spices but on chicken. I haven't eaten mall food in a while so I was expecting it to taste as good as I remembered it. I unfortunately was disappointed.

Food was as expected . We should have ordered 2 of each appetizers we decided on. Egg rolls were good but not enough. Had a reservation and table was already set when we arrived. This was for a birthday celebration and staff came to sing with sparklers & bubbles & other lighting -- with a cupcake and candle. Everyone had a good time. Thank you to P.F. I assured my husband it was good back when I was in college. So we went, we both got Mongolian beef lunch specials. He got egg rolls and I got egg drop soup. We both also got the dynamite shrimp. Harmless enough really. Almost within hours we both had intense sulfur heartburn and gas. That went on all day, nothing we had could stop it. Then today came and we both have some intense food poisoning. We only have one bathroom so you can imagine how fun this is when both of us are living in there. Neither one of us could go to work today, we're both incredibly sick. I'm laying in bed right now with sharp stomach pains typing this up. It was my husbands first time and probably his last, he's sworn off it forever. We're so sick right now. Beware I suppose, this is biblical in terms of agony. Edit: Spoke with the manager on today ( 4.19.26 ) and she essentially said it was our fault for getting sick. "We serve this all day and no one else got sick" Fantastic, don't go there. We got deathly ill for four days. Partner has Asthma and constantly throwing up made breathing painful due to sore muscles. Clearly the customer willingly got sick and did this to themselves. We won't be back. Edit 2 We got ahold of the original manager ( I won't post her name ) and she issued a refund. My partner voiced displeasure in being accused of making ourselves sick and this manager just brushed it off in agreement with her assistant. So what I'm understanding is both of these managers suck. Glad we got our money back, this place is terrible. We have to head back to the Apple Store soon and I can't wait to flip this place off as we leave.

Photos and reviews of this place are scarce so I just went in on a wing and a prayer to pick up my chicken pad thai to go order, which was ready about 20 minutes after I called it in. For only $9.75, I was given a pretty good size portion of my noodle-y craving with plenty of Jalapeño, peanut crumbles, and a scattering of bean sprouts. I took the peppers off, of course, and dug in. While I wish there were more bean sprouts (and any other vegetable associated with pad thai), I enjoyed the sugary sweetness of the sauce and the salty flavor added from msg and the peanuts. The sauce isn't as sweet as other pad thai I have gotten in the past, which I am not sure if I like more or less haha. The chicken is what brought the dish down... the strips of chicken were truly nothing special. The lady working the counter provided good service, despite how busy the place was with to-go orders. She offered to staple my paper bag with the food and kindly allowed me to take lots of sauce packets and plastic silverware. It took me a year to finally order something from Mr. Chengs, but I am happy I finally did and enjoyed my lunch! I try not to eat portions as large as they give for lunch but I ate this all up!

First of all, the place is beautiful. You will want to stand and stare a minute when you first arrive, from the cherry blossoms overhead to the gorgeous art painted on the walls. We were welcomed immediately and seated quickly. Our waitress was attentive and efficient, again this was no small task with a bit group at a very busy time. She made great recommendations and we started with several appetizers for the table: Crab rangoon Mozzarella stick, Goyza, and crunchy rice with avocado. They were all good and cooked to perfection, but the Crab Rangoon Mozzarella sticks were show stoppers. This is fun fusion at its finest, and everyone agreed we could have just lived on those. We had to put in sushi orders early as there was a bit of a backup with the kitchen, but our server did a great job of keeping us informed about the timing and made all the entrees work out so people getting hot dishes got them at the same time as people who ordered cold dishes. I had the sora roll which is another great fashion dish with a simple tempura shrimp and avocado roll upscaled by adding thin slices of wagyu beef, spicy mayo and dark sweet soy. I loved the combo. My wife had the peking duck and said it was fantastic with a good bit of flavor and a hint of kick, cooked to perfection so it didn't get dry. My son had the mushroom risotto which he said was very flavorful, and carried a bit of asian spiciness. Other people at the table had sushi, the katsu chicken, and the crab fried rice. No one was disappointed! Finally my wife and I split the smoked creme brûlée and all I can say is, you should save room for dessert because this was a fantastic spin on a classic! The only thing I would note is that it's not a quiet restaurant. Do not expect to have a hushed or private conversation here, but even with the big group I could still hear everyone, so it's not like it's ear splitting or anything. Honestly, every part of this experience impressed me and I would love to go back next time I'm in town.
