I was afraid to go at first, but decided it was needed. I always seem to have pain after going to a dentist, even if not before. When I went to have a mold made for a mouth guard, I was first told my cost would be about $130. A few minutes later I was quoted a cost around $165. Next I was told my share would be around $460 because my insurance only covered 40%. I called my insurance company who said that the amount submitted to them was $649 but that since they were in network they were required to do it for $367, of which $183.50 was my share because my share is 50%. I told the staff this and they said they could not do it for that until they received it from the insurance company in writing. They told me they would call me when they had this. I left the office. My appointment had been made strictly for this purpose weeks ahead of time so they had every opportunity to have secured accurate information. In fact I believe that knew the deal and were trying to stick me with paying my share and the difference between what the insurance would pay and what they wanted. Now I check my insurance and it appears that they have been paid $183.50 for nothing except trying to bilk me. I will not be going back.

You can't beat Jodi's friendly face and attitude when you walk in the door. Allison has cleaned my teeth my entire life and she is polite, pleasant, efficient, and patient. I think I could be in and out in ten minutes but we usually end up talking and catching up. Dr. Claybrook is fast and efficient, polite and doesn't "yell" at you for not flossing (although he seriously recommends it). One time I had six cavities (don't judge me) and was terrified of the fillings. Dr. Claybrook makes it the easiest experience, numbing before Novocaine, I was so pleasantly surprised. If you have ever been afraid of the dentist, this is the place to go. The office will change your mind!

I'm *very* averse to dentists, I've had more bad experiences than I can count, and I basically just stopped going for 5 years - as if the problems would go away. The stars aligned with I discovered WDI does sedation dentistry and accepted my insurance. It helped, too, that the team is predominantly female, because I feel safer being sedated amongst women, and also find they take my fears and concerns more seriously. The team was very kind and patient with me as my panic attack at the first extraction almost prevented us from getting anything done. They helped calm me down, and literally next thing I knew I was in the recovery room with my partner holding my hand. Yes, it cost thousands of dollars - but I knew that going in. They were clear what the timeline, costs, and outcomes would be. When 1/3 of the way through the process a glitch came up on my end (another tooth needed to be removed), they talked me through my options and provided sage advice. There were flexible payment plans, and I never once felt neglected, denied, ignored, or taken advantage of. Their front office team are delightful, their space probably the only place I'd have gone during the pandemic, and the doctor and technicians were all kind, clear, and concise. The only thing that made me sad was having to get the final step - the - crowns elsewhere. I wish I could have done it all, beginning to end, with them. I didn't realize it was my last time being there until I was gone, and I didn't get to thank anyone for being so good to me for the past 8 months during a pandemic. So I am now - this is the type of group you write a farewell note to, so everyone - including them - can see how great they are.

Thanks for being nice about it.) 3) Referred me to an oral surgeon once who was also interesting, fastidious, and followed up with me in off hours. Dr. Pandak inspected the work and was satisfied. 4) Good administrative practices such as knowing what insurance covers and doesn't, using two advance reminders (a postcard a week prior, a phone call the day prior (some of us need it!)). 5) Usually is pleasantly chatty during the actual cleaning, which can really help with any anxiety I might have built up (no pun intended). 6) Leave the office feeling like I've done my best for my own health and wonder how long I should wait before eating because my teeth feel so clean. He pointed to a well positioned poster on the wall advertising the service and medication. The staff then began negotiating treatment with me while in the chair. They explained that Dr. Stubblefield was offering new patients "gift cards" for the treatment if they agreed to return quarterly for the same treatment. The treatment is of course outside of insurance! I smelled something fishy! I then went to another dentist to be examined. That dentist advised me that I did not have periodontal disease, but rather pretty healthy teeth! Some dentists have shrunk to the practice of unnecessary treatments to boost their bottom line. It's not illegal, just not exactly ethical!

It had been a very long time since I went to the dentist and my first visit was only $99 for a new patient special, which included a lot of services along with a cleaning. They take great images of your teeth so you can see what they see. I came back for one of my fillings and left even more impressed. Drilling and fixing a tooth in the very back of my mouth was in no way comfortable, but it was done efficiently and with care. I really said to myself, every penny is worth having this woman as my dentist. Her credentials speak for themselves, but having a great personality and wonderful staff to back her up... I'm incredibly happy. Not to mention... snacks, coffee and tea, up to date magazines and tv in the waiting room make it that much more comfortable.

What I really value in a dentist is reason. I had an awful experience with a dentist close to my house and he recommended I replace all my fillings with some new snazzy material that wouldn't be covered by insurance. I was horrified. He also mentioned a number of cavities that needed refilling and suggested more procedures that seemed quite bizarre to me considering my previous visits to a dentist back home at my parents hadn't suggested any of these...oh and they would cost a boatload of cash. I realized this man was just trying to make money. Stan is not. He is a not a cosmetic dentist who will try to take you and the insurance companies for money. He only does what is necessary and always keeps an eye on things that may become necessary in the near future. He knows me personally now, operates pain free and is funny! I hear he is also wonderful with kids! I have referred 4 friends to him, and they all loved him.
