I had my first son at Fresno community and it was traumatic and horrible overall. This hospital is AMAZING. The nurses are all so sweet and attentive! Never once did I have any kind of issue with any of my nurses or the staff I encountered. Best nurses I've EVER had! And if you want the best OB ever Dr. Minassi is the lady you want! She is truly amazing! The only complaint I have is that the food was AWFUL. My breakfast (waffles, eggs and turkey bacon) was ICE COLD when it got to me. The turkey bacon was inedible burnt and disgusting tasting. The waffles were hard and the eggs were cold and I mean who eats cold scrambled eggs...gross! My food the rest of my stay was the same way! I sent my husband to get food because that food was nasty

He should not be mixed up or confused with another Hanford doctor--Frank Gavini--who is a cardiologist, not an internist. Right off the bat, I was happy that the medical office where he is at had someone answering the phone. Most calls to doctors in Hanford get routed to an answering machine or a phone answering service. I told them that my mom needed to be seen and they scheduled her for the same week. Dr. John Gavini can be found with Kings Medical Group, at 808 Vaughn St., across from the Royal Car Wash on Garner Ave. The office looks recently built, and clean and spacious. Dr. John Gavini was friendly, asked questions about my mom's previous treatments and procedures, examined all her medicines carefully, and made her feel at ease. I'm so happy to find a good internist in Hanford and to be able to recommend him to others.

Gavini's office for over 15 years, but the level of patient care and staff professionalism has severely declined. Because Dr. Gavini requires monthly in-person visits to refill my necessary medication, I carefully maintain my appointment schedule. Today, I had a 3:30 PM appointment scheduled a month in advance. At 1:20 PM--just over two hours before my appointment--the office staff called asking if I could arrive by 2:00 PM because the doctor wanted to leave early. When I explained that I was at work and unable to leave on 40 minutes' notice, I was told I would have to reschedule. I informed the staff that I was almost out of medication and that missing a refill would disrupt my treatment. The staff checked with Dr. Gavini, who refused to approve a temporary phone refill, yet the office could not offer another appointment until the following week as he would be out of the office. To make matters worse, the staff member giggled while informing me that there was nothing they could do, showing a complete lack of empathy for leaving a long term patient without essential medication over the weekend. It is unacceptable for a medical practice to enforce strict late or cancellation policies on patients while offering zero flexibility, professional courtesy, or emergency coverage when the doctor decides to shorten their hours at the last minute.

We both found him to be very professional, caring and explained what he was doing and the need to have a complete ultrasound of his feet. The office staff was also professional, caring and was able to get my son an appointment for the ultrasound at their Clovis location. We would highly recommend this group to anyone looking for a cardiologist in the Fresno area. PS: the traffic coming in from Los Banos at 12Noon was not bad and the traffic on E. Herndon ran smooth.

I also came with my husband on one of his visits. The doctors are highly qualified. I requested a female cardiologist and was assigned to Dr. Rathi who has been very thorough. My only complaint about the Clovis location is that it is on the opposite side of town from where I live and takes quite awhile to get there, having to drive through congested traffic. I prefer the Saint Agnes location.

My experience was completely different. First of all, one of Dr. Au's associates did the procedure. It would have nice to have been told beforehand that he wasn't the one who would do it. The nurse put in an IV and I expected to go into twilight sleep. Instead, it was just enough to make me drowsy. I felt everything! When the tube went deeper into my throat I thought I was choking. I couldn't talk but tried with my arm to let the doctor know. The nurse took my arm and held it down till I couldn't move. I don't understand why she couldn't have increased the medication. It was so awful! I go back to get the results but after that I will never step foot in that office again. I thought Dr. Au was nice and professional during my first appointment and I assumed he would do the procedure. I'll never go back and I do not recommend this office. If I could give zero stars, I would.

He is extremely thorough and very informative, always taking the time to sit down and explain everything in a way that is easy to understand. If something isn't clear, he patiently goes over it again until we feel comfortable. He takes every precaution with their care, and it shows in the way he handles each appointment. Dr. Sarmad Said put in a pacemaker with one of the leads…read moreunattached. I was in a tremendous amount of pain, it hurt to breath. During my follow-up appointment with Dr. Said he did not take the time to check the pacemaker at all. He got very defensive and told me my pain could be from any number of things, kidneys, gall bladder etc. When I reiterated that the pain began after the pacemaker was put in he just dismissed me and said it wasn't the pacemaker and to get a second opinion. Upon getting a second opinion, I found out that the pacemaker wasn't put in properly. I then had surgery to remove the pacemaker which resolved the pain. I learned that I did not need the pacemaker in the first place and that the doctor that removed it has been cleaning up Dr. Said's mistakes for years. What I did need was an ablation, which solved my problem. Dr. Said went from being nice before surgery, to hostile and arrogant afterwards. Worst experience ever.
