Very bad customer service. You will only get the good service at the store, because they want you to buy. Once you purchased the furniture and if something wrong with the furniture, it takes forever to get a answer from them. I purchased sofa and love seats from this store, they told me the time frame for delivery will be 2-6 pm, and by the time they delivered the furniture was almost 9 pm. So they drop off and left, after I clean up everything they left behind, I found out the love seats was defected, so I called the next day to tell them, they said someone will call me, took 4 days to get in touched . They said it probably will get replaced, but will sent someone to look at first. So when the guy finally came look at the sofa, he ripped the fabric and took out the wood, he told us , the wood structures broke, can't fixed, we should get a replacement, and 3-4 days later, they called, and said they decided to fix it. Every time I called, and left message, they never call back, I have to keeping calling to get to talk to them. And every time I have to talk to different person and get different answers. They always said : " I will ask my manager and will call you back, because the manager is not here today. ". And guess what, they won't call me back as they said. If I could give Factory Direct Enterprise Ashley Home Store a ZERO I would. I visited the branch a few months ago because I wanted to purchase a mattress. I dealt with Valarie Cope and explained to her that currently my old mattress is sagging. Beds in the showroom have been broken into due to the amount of people testing them out. Everyone knows if you choose something you may not receive the exact feeling but should be close enough because it brand new. I spent alot of money on this mattress and kept receiving back pain. A few weeks later I visited the store and explained to them that the mattress I recieve could never be correct and to this day I have been getting the run around. The supervisor at the time gave me a blank stare and told me to hold on a minute and return with a number to call customer service. I called on their phone while I was in the store while they dealt with other customers like i didn't existed. Technician were sent to my home twice. The first took a picture of the barcode on mattress because I was able to lift the bed on my own and a few other pictures. The second come in didn't have the tools he needed and asked me if I had a cord or wire to see if there was indentation. Everything they asked me to do I did. My though were It would be impossible for a brand new mattress have indentation and that wasnt the issue I was having. It's the constant back and forth and some of the customer service representative in New Jersey needs addition service training. I have dealt with so much pain in the past few months and I decided to write my review today because enough is enough. Worst store ever. If I could leave zero stars I would. NEVER again will I purchase furniture from Ashley's. I will make sure to tell EVERYONE to stay away from this place. They sell the worst quality products and have the worst service. About five months ago I spent over $4,000 on new furniture. We were cautious with our purchase when we saw the price, specifically because we have two dogs and we know how pets and furniture go. "No worries" they said, "just include the protection plan and warranty in your order. It covers accidental damage, manufacturers malfunctions, stains, etc" So we thought ok great, we will be covered should anything happen so we spent the extra $600 on coverage...As we thought our puppy made a few small holes on the new couch. When I called to see if we could use the warranty or protection plan to have the holes repaired or that section of the couch replaced we were told "sorry, pet damage is not included". I call the store to explain this along with my frustration and was told "that's not true! Your protection plan includes accidental damage. Call them back, ask for a supervisor" I call back, finally get in touch with the supervisor who explains accidental damage ONLY covers stains and spills. I was also informed that there seems to be a problem with this particular store misinforming their customers when it comes to the protection plans and how it really works. Most uneducated staff I have ever seen in my entire life. This isn't even half of it though. We also purchased an over priced coffee table that has been dropping in one corner making the table uneven. Absolutely not pet related I just want to add. When I called to include this in my claim, "sorry that is a manufacturer problem which we do not cover. Call the customer care line directly". I call the line, please give us 2-3 weeks to asses the damage. I call already tell from the headache they are giving with the couch that they aren't going to replace this piece of crap table either. Not going to get into the rest, just save your money and time and save yourself the headache and DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE. Ordered a sofa on 8/6/21, was delivered on 8/11/21. Most items in store are backordered 3 months plus, so took the only sofa available. Morning of delivery, sofa was online for half the price i paid. Called and called, couldn't get anyone on the phone. Accepted the delivery assuming they would honor the price and do an adjustment. They did not. Got someone on the phone at customer service, he laughed when I told him the story. He basically told me " you win some and you lose some " . He told me he would have the manager from store call me. He never did. Called back to ask to speak to a manager, got Tiara on the phone , who told me there is no chance I am getting a manager on the phone. I told her the story, even said I don't want an adjustment, but maybe a credit towards future purchases. Also told her that the previous " customer service " rep told me and she basically said no chance they are doing anything to help me, and what the previous rep told me was accurate. Delivery men were rude, sofa had a warehouse smell like it was sitting there for a couple years. The worst online purchase ever. I placed an order on 4/29 to be delivered today 5/5. I called customer care to ask what time my order would be delivere. To my surprise they have an issue finding my order. I'm than told I would have to wait 3-4 days to find out if my order was received and obviously more time for deliver. So in other words I would have to wait at least an additional week for an order that was supposed to be delivered today. This is completely unacceptable and I will never purchase from here again. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Salesperson lied to us to make commision. Said our couch would come apart of it didn't fit through door and the delivery driver said they do not come apart! Thank god they fit as a knockdowm fee is another 250 dollars. My wife and I went to Ashley's to purchase a new bedroom set for our son. I didn't read all of the negative reviews here until just now. I was shocked to see the negative reviews and happy I'm just reading them because I probably would not have gone to the store. We had an incredible experience at Ashley's. We have typically made all of our furniture purchases at Raymour & Flanigan, so we were pleasantly surprised by the wide selection and quality furniture Ashley's had on display. We actually went to Raymour & Flanigan afterwards just to do our due diligence and found that we actually preferred the overall selections Ashley had on display. I can't speak for the previous reviewers and their experiences, but we had an excellent experience and plan to give them more business in the future. Kanan was an excellent salesperson and I highly recommend working with him when you visit. read more

Atrocious customer service and delivery expectations. I purchased a sectional on May 28th, was told delivery would happen June 22nd. They never showed up or called (despite me taking off from work). Called my sales rep to asked what happened, come to find out he had resigned since he sold it to me. Spoke to another woman, rescheduled delivery for July 12th. Don't trust them, so called on July 10th to confirm delivery, was told it was "unscheduled" (their term?) on the 7th. They never called to tell me this. They now also have no idea when I will be getting my piece. And of course, the woman who rescheduled my second delivery also has resigned since I spoke to her! Long story short, I still do not have my furniture and I have no idea what to do. They don't really seem to care (turnover is very high, don't expect to deal with the same person more than once) and are totally unwilling to give me a credit or discount of any kind to make me happy or keep my business with them. Salesman completely ripped us off buy selling us one thing and sending another and overcharging what is sold online by over $250. Go to store and look at the furniture (which really is crap) and then if you must it order it, do so online for half the price they will charge and half the cost of delivery. When I confronted the store with this I was told "We can't control what the franchise does." So spend your money at a place with ethics that delivers what you ordered, doesn't overcharge and price gouge, and stands by their word of calling back or even has any professional ethics at all, because you will get none of this with this company. TERRIBLE!!! First let's start off from when you first walk in the store they hound you and when you find something you like they give u a price of about $700 more than what it's really worth and then try to negotiate down to maybe $200 less. If you do your research first and look online the price will be about $500-$700 cheaper than what they telling you at the store. So I purchase a sectional and was given a delivery date and on that delivery date I took off from work to wait for the delivery bcuz I was told that if no one was home I would be charged a second delivery fee...I waited all day and never received a call or anything stating that they were on they way so I decided to call around 6pm and they told me that they verbally spoke to the driver and that he would be to me no later 7:30! 7:30 comes around and no one has showed up or call me so once again I decided to call and come to find out that there is no one to speak with bcuz the customer service center is closed. I waited til the next morning and called for them to tell me that the driver was unable to complete his route and that I would have to schedule another delivery date (why should I have to schedule another delivery date when they should just continued to deliver from the previous day). My mother and I bought around $8,000 worth of furniture from the store. Within three months, my cushions have flattened and the fabric has pilled. Mind you that this is my living room set for my second living room that we rarely use. I make sure that I keep the children out of this room as they have their own family room. I will never order furniture from Ashleys again! The entire experience was a nightmare and continues to be one. I purchased a couch in the beginning of June to get delivered on June 27th which was my moving date. All day that day I was back and forth calling them until 8 pm because the driver was running late and they promised my couch would arrive which it did not and I also didn't receive a call saying they wouldn't be there. I called the next morning and they promised my couch would be delivered next day which was a Saturday, first thing in the morning. When I called on Saturday morning, they told me the couch wouldn't arrive until 5pm. I told them I cannot accept the couch at that time due to building restrictions and it will need to come on Monday. They did not communicate with the driver that we rescheduled delivery so they showed up at 5 on Saturday. The delivery guys were very nice but mentioned that the couch probably wouldn't even fit. We had to go back to Ashley furniture on that Sunday to see what we could do and we had to pay for an additional service to have to couch broken down and put together in the apartment. The first availability for this to happen was July 20th. Long story short we finally received our couch ONE MONTH after moving to our new place which we didn't even have an old couch to use until then. Now we are 3 months later and one of the cushions completely ripped at the seam. Overall terrible experience and terrible quality of furniture. Terrible.... I purchased leather sofas and less than 6 months later the seats were sinking. I had purchased warranty so I called and over the following 8 months they came 4 times and couldn't repair for various reasons....either the factory sent the wrong parts or the repair man didn't know how to do it...Eventually they decided it was easier to replace them. At this point they didn't have the same, which I really liked, so we had to go in and choose different ones. Again, it took 3 tries to deliver. They were either ripped or damaged each time. I ended up accepting them even though they were far from perfect. After much arguing and dealing with headquarters, we ended up with a $300 credit at the store. So I went back to the store yesterday to use my credit and at the end of a very annoying hour of being watched and followed by their very annoying employees, I got 2 pillows that were on sale but they told me I had to pa full price because the ones on sale were used.....FYI...it's against the law to seek used pillows and mattresses...gross Will never go back and will make sure I spread the word about this store. Just because I was getting something with a credit, they didn't treat me like a normal customer....they weren't making any $$$ on me...... I purchased a recliner last week with the sales person in the store. The recliner was "on sale" from $599 to $419 with warranty , tax and shipping it was $640 total. I saw the price online for the same exact chair a few days later for $272!!! I went back On Saturday to speak to the store manager directly , he was extremely unhelpful. He stated because it was already delivered( which was 3 days ago) he would not give the difference. He then states the online prices do not apply to in store purchases. He stated said he would "help us " by giving a $100 store credit only towards a $500 or more purchase... I was so disgusted and disappointed. They basically stole money and did not care. We are in the market for more furniture and I refuse to go back there ever again , here's why- The salespeople are annoyingly pushy. They follow you around after you tell them you don't need help. When we ordered furniture we got a delivery time window and the items didn't even arrive that day so I took off work and waited for nothing , they rescheduled . The second scheduled delivery was early morning , well they didn't come until the evening and one piece was broken . I noticed right away and the delivery person was honest with me told me he too noticed this at the warehouse and said something but they sent it out anyway because it was the last one.... so they're just sending garbage out thinking customers won't notice ? I spent hours calling customer service. The agents on the phone were so rude to me when I told them they delivered a broken piece they said they can send another one when they get a new shipment (1-2 weeks ) and I would have to pay for delivery all over again. It was just such bad customer service I felt like I was dealing with crooks not with a big chain business . I will never go back and everyone else beware . Do yourself a favor and stay away from Ashley's furniture store. We ordered a sectional with an expected delivery time between 2 and 6. At around 1 they called saying it would be 6 to 7. Okay cool thanks for the heads up. 7 came along and nothing.... we tried calling several phone numbers and no answers. They were all closed funny you have deliveries going out but no phone to pick up. 8:30 rolls around and we get a robocall they are 30 minutes away. Okay cool finally our couch! In all of our furniture delivery experiences, the couch has always come dissembled in several pieces for delivery. Makes sense right? Ashley's furniture logic is to deliver the smallest pieces broken apart but the largest piece comes in one huge piece that wouldn't fit through any door in a normal apartment. We were never informed of a disassembly service and now our couch doesn't even fit. I talk to some warehouse rep and she can't even offer to redeliver with the disassembly for no fee given the late delivery and lack of communication. How absurd! Willing to lose a customer who was still willing to work with you despite all of the antics. All we wanted was our couch without having to pay another fee to get it delivered correctly. We had so much patience and at the end of the day you weren't willing to make any compromises. So over this never had to deal with such a lack of service. Ashley is by far the worst place you can purchase furniture. I accept when mistakes are made and I will always give a chance to remediate, this was not that. I only purchased a dining room set and was given the run around for a almost month. I was told the delivery would take place on a certain date and when I called the day before to confirm, they had NO record of the delivery on file. Ashley's communication with each other is almost non existent. After being told my delivery was not in the system I went to the store to get some insight as to why this happened and what I can do to move forward. Nothing was done, I was told I would get a follow up and was never followed up with. After not heard from anyone, I made my second trip to the store. I spoke with someone else who ASSURED me that she would call me to follow up and would make it her personal duty to do so. She did NOT follow up with me once. At this point, I am frustrated and annoyed because I just want my dining room set to be delivered. After multiple attempts to schedule a delivery date, I finally did so by contacting their customer service department. When they came for the delivery, they had delivered the wrong chairs. So now I make a THIRD trip to the store. I ask to speak to a manager and when he approached me, he sat right down in front of a computer and didn't even acknowledge me. I will never understand people who don't change career paths when they hate their job so much. Anyway, he said he would discount the chairs for me for the inconvenience. I was still very angry because they weren't able to give me a redelivery date that day but I gave them ANOTHER chance to get it right. The manager did follow up with me but he spoke with me like he was annoyed and hated his life. Really not my problem. If you are a manager, this is what you need to deal with. Put on your big boy pants and get over it. He told me that he never said he would discount the chairs, he said he would discount them to offset the RE-delivery charge. I SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED FOR A REDELIVERY CHARGE PERIOD!! It was Ashley's fault that I was delivered the wrong chairs. After trying to get in contact with the store owner, speaking to 6 different people who couldn't do anything for me. The manager finally gave in and discounted me the chairs because he probably just wanted to get rid of me at this point. Well it has been 6 days since I received the table and the side part is already falling apart. This place is an embarrassment. They are fake nice when you are trying to buy, but after the sale is complete , they treat you like complete trash. I explained in length that my building only excepts deliveries with a certificate of insurance and deliveries only up to 4pm. They acted like they were putting notes together and taking care of the certificate but they did nothing . Oh I forgot it was a month before they could deliver the sofa , then it was delayed like 3 times because they would never send the certificate of insurance. Imagine calling and calling and explaining over and over that this is necessary for delivery and they say ok and just never do it. It's frustrating and infuriating. They are parts to make the repairs to a warped door a damaged drawer. This place is deceiving and Ashley as a company does not stand by their customers. Let's start with I walked in this place after Raymore Tuesday night while we were shopping for furniture. They did not greet my wife and I. We asked a woman in the office is there anyone to help us and she said for what? I said furniture. They said they would get someone and they didn't. So my wife and I really liked a certain set we saw. We decided we will order online. We walked out and again none even looked at us to say why we were leaving or anything. We went home and it was 3 weeks delivery. So we were forced to go back to store. I spent $2500 here on Wednesday and they delivered the next day. All was well. Whenever i got home from work I saw the Bunkie board was a 2 inch height and was $300 by the way!? Rip off! She knew I needed something higher for under mattress and they sent this. I called the manager Janecia and told her I needed this exchanged for the right size. She told me she would call me in morning and she didn't call me back so i went into the store. I will never shop at Ashley Furniture again. My next move is small claims court. Be careful and do not let them fool you that they care about customers. It is ironic that their mission is to "Serve their community and in doing so, to serve God". It makes me wonder just who their god is. I believe that this is a manipulative tactic to lure in people that strive to be honest and upright, and make us feel we are in good hands since their mission make us feel secure that we are dong business with a company that is honest and cares about its community. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR ABOUT BEING ETHICAL. When I chose the sofa, they had me sign the purchase receipt, electronically. What was even stranger is that they prepared the doc in a little office in the middle of the store but they asked me to sit down about 20 feet away from the office, & instructed to sign it when prompted. They had quite some trouble getting the prompting to go in. I asked them if I could possible sign a paper so that I can see what I am signing. The salesman, Duvall, spoke assured me it was all standard paperwork, etc. That should have been my first red flag. 2nd red flag should have been when I caught him making an insulting gesture about me to a young girl working behind the desk and causing her to giggle. He quickly changed his attitude and made it look like I was mistaken. I didn't give them a delivery date since I wanted to try to paint the room and get rid of the old stuff first. They called me every single day, pressing me to set a date. It was ridiculous, even Duvall called me at intervals, telling me he is worried I will miss out & all the sofas I ordered would sell out soon. The delivery men came and they would not converse with me and worked extremely fast and asked me to give them the space and that I had no need to help them at all. To be polite, I stayed out of the way and then before I know it they asked me to sign a similar electronic box I saw in the showroom. Their tactic is evidentlly to train their drivers this way so that they can get you to sign without ever looking at the furniture, inspecting it, etc. Well they left like the hurricane they came in as. Upon inspecting the furniture, I discovered the seats were more narrow than they seemed in the showroom and the fabric much rougher. They are so scratchy and not at all comfortable to sit on, let alone sleep on. I went in on the 2nd day after I received the order to ask for an exchange and got a run around, went back a total of three times, spoke with Customer Service 3 times, each time they gave me a run around. They said that once you sign, you keep the merchandise/I explained that what happened was very much like coercion since they drivers seemed to purposely rush out and discourage me from inspecting the couches.
