The new owners of this store need a lesson in common decency! The owner of this business is absolutely despicable. I don't write this review without good reason. He is very, very conceited, and treats his employees with absolutely zero respect. We were in their shopping during a weekday in January, and he was snapping at his employees and ordering them around. I was offended watching this. It made me uncomfortable. I will never shop at a business where an owner treats his employees like garbage. I asked a young sales lady on my way out what the new owner's name was, and she said it was Dan Schmidt. I hope that Dan AND people who are considering shopping there read this. He seemed too busy disrespecting his employees to notice people witnessed his behavior. I truly feel sorry for the people that work for him. I am considering calling a national number for this furniture store, even though it is independently owned. Do better! read more

This is the worst store in America! Do not buy a single thing from these people. I should've read the reviews first. It was a nightmare from the beginning. The owner is grifter, the sales people will tell you anything you want to hear to to get you to buy from them. Then they put you off for months on end. Then they call you to tell you your furniture is in and when you go to pick it up it's not there and the owner is a complete jerk about it. He called me liar to my face and denied that his sales person ever told me things wouldn't be like it was. He wasn't even a part of that sales conversation. The owner called the cops on me to get me to leave after that. And from what my wife said it sounded like it wasn't the first time... Or second... Or third time. We purchased a Beautyrest Silver Oceanside Extra Firm Mattress and in less than 2 years it was so bad I couldn't sleep on it. It's supposed to have a ten year warranty and they will not even honor that. I will never purchase anything from them again and am going to the manufacture and let them know the kind of service I received. read more

I bought a box spring a little over a year ago it looked like good quality and turned out to be horrible quality and fell apart after a year i was very displease and not to mention after going in the store i was displeased with their horrible customer service and the manager was cussing at a coworker and then cussing at her son. I ordered a chair in December to go with a couch we'd purchased a week earlier at Ashley Home Store. The manager, Steve, agreed to let me put down half for the chair instead of paying in full because it was not in stock & would have to be ordered. He let me know it might take up to 6 weeks for delivery. After waiting a few weeks (not six) I called to get an update on the status of the delivery. I spoke with the same manager who told me it had already arrived. I asked when & he said "it just arrived. Some time last week." Irritated I said I'd be there soon to pick it up. The first associate who met me asked if she could help me with anything. I told her I was there to pick up a chair. She asked if anyone called me about it & I said no & that I was irritated because of it. She began to explain how sometimes things get delivered & before finishing her thought stopped & said "you look bent out of shape so I'll just take you to the manager & you only have to tell this to someone once." She took me to Steve who pulled up my order & asked if I'd be paying in full. I answered by telling him I was irritated that no one had called to tell me my order had arrived. Steve told me no one had called because my order had not been payed for. What followed was a circular argument about how I didn't get a call about my order arriving & myself asking how I was supposed to know I needed to come pay & take my order if no one had called me. Seeing that this was going nowhere I told Steve he could refund the money I'd put down which he quickly agreed to & informed me that because the item was now in stock there would be a 20% restocking fee. I said no & he told me that was what I agreed to in the contract I signed. I continued to disagree with the manager who eventually told me, with a wave of his fingers, that he wasn't "dealing with me anymore. Bye" I angrily walked away while telling Steve to "'F' off." After spending years in customer service industries I understand that customers or clients become displeased, upset or angry. Your goal, as an employee in this situation is to deescalate & let the customer speak & help them leave happy or, at least, content. When Steve found I was irritated his first reaction was to place the blame on me. Which escalated my emotion to angry. I will not be purchasing anything from Ashley Home Store again & now regret furnishing a livingroom, kitchen & multiple bedrooms through this store. I'd give less than one star if I could. read more

On Dec 12, 2020, we entered into a Sales Contract sales order 1778530. You delivered my order on Mar 29, 2021, and within 48 hours I called the Store Manager and notified the Manager of the defect in the furniture and the huge sinking/sagging and what is clearly a manufacturing defect. I was informed the operations manager would make arrangements to look at the defective sofa. No arrangement was made to come by and look at the sofa, instead an offer was made to replace the sofa cushion. I had a furniture upholstery expert inspect the sofa and was informed it wasn't the cushions, the sofa has a defective very weak frame. The furniture was damaged at delivery or broke within 48 hours, due to a manufacturer's defect and Ashley Homestore is going to victimize a Senior Citizen. This is Senior Abuse and is Criminal, and your Fraudulent Business Practices is a double whammy. I was told that I will never get a full refund, even though I am calling within the required 72-hour legal requirement. In addition, they would take it back, but would charge me a 20% fee. I purchased box springs and mattress. I got a firm sealy that i liked but mentioned i would like a pillow top mattress. So they ordered a Ashley Brand bed with pillow top it was like laying in a hamock because they didnt order a firm that i specifically told them i needed. So they ordered another Ashley brand and it was just as bad. At this point they refused to work with me at all. I told them to come and get the bed and they said no and we will not order you a new mattress. I asked for the first one back and they said no we sold it. I delivered it to them and they refused to take it. I put in the foyer by the front doors and they called the cops on me. The cop said go get it. I said i cant lift it. He said well you got it over there. This is the most rediculous situation. I havent had this 3rd mattress more then two or three weeks their policy says return within 30 days. They ignored my voice mails. Beware these people are angry and nasty and treat customers like crap hate to give a one star they dont deserve that. read more

The worst business ethics ever. They only care only about the dollar. They had a remodeling sale thinking I would get a deal and my furniture that day. Wrong after I paid in full they told me it could take up to 8 weeks to receive it. I could not get a refund because the sales receipt said no refunds. I explained I was not happy they said there is nothing they can do. Shady business practices Don't buy anything from this company. Save your money. Found out alot of unhappy customers in the area same thing happened to them. They don't deserve a star. Carma is a bitch Ashley furniture will find that out. read more

Horrible delivery time. I LOVE the furniture and the service in the store was wonderful but I've dealt with the same slow speed to get the furniture delivered 2 times now. First time: I went into the store and ordered over $5,000 worth of stuff. (Bedroom set and living room set) I was told it would be in Chadron NE in two weeks. It was a month later and finally there. I'm happy they set it all up for me and they were great to work with then but slow speed to get the furniture to my house. Second time: (most recent as in October 2016) delivered to Sidney NE, I ordered my upstairs furniture (new couches, tables, and dining set) I paid for it October 1st and was told it would be in the first week of November. I thought no problem. I got my carpet put in downstairs and moved the furniture down stairs while we waited on the upstairs furniture. I called the last week of October to see how it was coming along. They said they had my living room couches and tables but not the dining set yet. They've had this for one week now. I asked them to please just deliver the sofa set then since the table wasn't in and we will wait for it for the first week of November. They deliverers the sofa and tables last week. It's now November and I called today to see where my dining set is at. Vickie couldn't even tell me where it was. In fact she said it wasn't even on the list anymore and she needed to ask Steve where it was. She called me back and said it wouldn't be in till November 26 or so before thanksgiving. I told her I didn't want to wait another month after already waiting a month. Vickie said, you can't wait two more weeks? I told her no and to please give me my money back. She didn't even try to make it work. Just said she will send a check on Thursday. Like I said, love the furniture, service is okay, speed of delivery sucks. I purchased a new sectional couch and bedroom set, wanting to keep my dollars local. The nightstand had 2 cracks on it after it was unloaded. I took pictures into the store to show them, and I was accused of scratching it while transporting it, when it was moved the way they loaded it. I was also told this was a very soft wood, so I should expect it to easily dent. I then asked if I could pick up the dresser that day while I was there and was informed that I would have explicitly been told that furniture can only be loaded between 1:30 and 3:30 on Saturdays. I guess since it took 8 weeks for the bedroom furniture to arrive, I had forgotten that detail. I was also told it was posted all over the store and obviously anyone who can read would know I could not load my furniture at that time. Some of the rudest customer service in town! Oh, and I'm still waiting on my sectional couch that was ordered 9 weeks ago. I guess they forget they told me it would only be 3-8 weeks at the most. I will never do business here again. read more

I wish I could choose lower than a one star. I was told I could get my couch delivered in 2 weeks. 2 months later I was still waiting on the couch, even though it was paid in full. I requested a refund and went with another company. They initially refused to refund the $180 protection plan I paid for with the couch, stating it was already paid for, they couldn't give my money back. I had to complain 4 times to 3 different people before I was finally issued a refund. I complained to the owner, and he said "sorry for your experience, I'll give you a refund." No attempt to keep my $1000 worth of business. Amber and Renee were very helpful, but couldn't fix the issues. Steve (the owner) and Vicky were exceptionally rude, and didn't try for a minute to keep my business. Be warned! Horrible business practices and service. read more

Worst customer service ever!!! We have never had so many problems trying to get furniture then we have at the scottsbluff, ne ashleys. After being told the only things they were willing to let us take home the same day were broken furniture for pretty much full price we ordered a table and chairs. We got a call 3 wks later saying everything was in and we live a good 100 miles away, so we went to pick it up. We get to the store and start loading everything and they cant find the bench to go with our table, so we go in and tell them the bench is not here and they say oh well we will order it and then you can come back and pick it up. My husband said no can you juat give us the display one and the sales lady said well i dont know i have to ask. The owner said go ahead and we get it outside and we ask if we can have a piece of cardboard to put it on so it dont scratch and we were told no we dont have cardboard after we were just in the delivery area and saw all the cardboard. And by the way they also will not wrap anything for you at this store in saran wrap either they tell you to go to thw home depot and pay them to so it. We went to cheyenne wy ashleys and they let us have a huge sectional undamaged off the floor and wrapped the whole thing in wrap for us and loaded it all on our trailer for us. So not all the stores are bad but deffinatly scottsbluff is horrible. read more
