First time: I went into the store and ordered over $5,000 worth of stuff. (Bedroom set and living room set) I was told it would be in Chadron NE in two weeks. It was a month later and finally there. I'm happy they set it all up for me and they were great to work with then but slow speed to get the furniture to my house. Second time: (most recent as in October 2016) delivered to Sidney NE, I ordered my upstairs furniture (new couches, tables, and dining set) I paid for it October 1st and was told it would be in the first week of November. I thought no problem. I got my carpet put in downstairs and moved the furniture down stairs while we waited on the upstairs furniture. I called the last week of October to see how it was coming along. They said they had my living room couches and tables but not the dining set yet. They've had this for one week now. I asked them to please just deliver the sofa set then since the table wasn't in and we will wait for it for the first week of November. They deliverers the sofa and tables last week. It's now November and I called today to see where my dining set is at. Vickie couldn't even tell me where it was. In fact she said it wasn't even on the list anymore and she needed to ask Steve where it was. She called me back and said it wouldn't be in till November 26 or so before thanksgiving. I told her I didn't want to wait another month after already waiting a month. Vickie said, you can't wait two more weeks? I told her no and to please give me my money back. She didn't even try to make it work. Just said she will send a check on Thursday. Like I said, love the furniture, service is okay, speed of delivery sucks. They need to figure out their logistics.

He is very, very conceited, and treats his employees with absolutely zero respect. We were in their shopping during a weekday in January, and he was snapping at his employees and ordering them around. I was offended watching this. It made me uncomfortable. I will never shop at a business where an owner treats his employees like garbage. I asked a young sales lady on my way out what the new owner's name was, and she said it was Dan Schmidt. I hope that Dan AND people who are considering shopping there read this. He seemed too busy disrespecting his employees to notice people witnessed his behavior. I truly feel sorry for the people that work for him. I am considering calling a national number for this furniture store, even though it is independently owned. Do better!

I found the bed I wanted and then I started looking at adjustable bases. I was told the bases came with a 10 year warranty and $100 off bases costing $1000 or more. The only base available was the middle one for $1000. It wasn't the one I wanted but I said okay. Here's the kick in the pants. No discount on the frame because the actual cost was $999.99, one penny short. (imagine that) The 10 year warranty is not included, it actually costs $99.95. The manager said that's automatically added on to which I replied, you said they came with a 10 year warranty, not that one was available for purchase. He didn't seem to grasp the difference. After a few minutes I decided it's not my job to educate this person on being accurate with the information you give a customer regarding price. I said have a nice day and walked out. I can afford to throw my money around, but I won't have a salesman do it for me and act like it's no big deal. There are plenty of other places to spend my money and when it's thousands of dollars, I expect at least a basic level of competence.

I ordered online through corporate, so Cheyenne only handles the Home Delivery, so it makes it tough communicating between the two and tough for the local store with logistics. I bet if I went in the store personally and ordered...it would have been a completely different story. Dan contacted me personally after finding out and had his office manager Brittany step in when I couldn't get help from corporate. He implemented corrective action steps and communicated every step of the way to ensure I was taken care of and compensated and corrected the issues. Daniel's empathy and actions were a breath of fresh air for a business owner who didn't have to "dive into the weeds" for a consumer. It shows he truly cares about his customers and is dedicated to getting it right for us while ensuring his teams (both sales, delivery and customer service) do the same. Even though we had a few challenges, I understand that happens, we are all human....either way, Daniel handled it as a teaching lesson for his teams and his communicating with me personally to rectify the problems I had was commendable. Daniel helped to ease several issues we had and followed through with EXACTLY what he said he would do. That is rare, and in this day and age, that is extremely hard to come by.
