Same stuff everyplace we went. We walked into Ashley and literally you can shop online and see the same stuff. Most of the place was outdated furniture vibes. Cookie cutter furniture that everyone buys. Nothing unique or modern. The sales people are aggressive and you feel like you are approached and followed. Then the prices were high. If you are looking for something, the sales people will say, we don't have that on the floor but you can shop online, let me get my tablet. The WiFi is horrible so it's slow and you stand in the store shopping online. What a freaking joke. They are limited with space so it's crammed and if you're going to shop online they should cut you a deal or give you a discount for being in the store. Not worth your time! I wish Yelp had an option for 0 stars or even negative stars. First of all, the quality of furniture from Ashley has decreased exponentially. What they are selling today is worse than Ikea or Walmart. Their furniture is particle board with lots of defects/damage. They claim you get free delivery but that means dropping boxes outside of your front door and you have to haul them in your self. It is less service than Amazon. And if you purchase a bed, they will deliver parts. They delivered the side rails and head board but not the footboard. That is on back order for weeks. So I have to store useless bed parts for weeks. The customer service is terrible. DO NOT SHOP OR PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE. THEY ARE COMMITTING FRAUD!!!!!!!! AND SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN. read more

After finally receiving the bedroom furniture EVERY piece had something wrong with it or it was bad broke and they had to re order it. Once it all came in has a service rep come out only to confirm that the bedroom furniture could not be fixed. I then filed and claim for a full refund on the bedroom furniture. Was then told I would have to pay a restocking fee if the Panama City home store wouldn't dismiss it. They did.... Thank goodness! So they came and picked up all the bedroom furniture. Remind you we purchased Everything in July and it's now November. I understand that COViD and supply are backed up. But EVERY thing they have delivered has had something wrong with it. I was looking for living room furniture. Had looked online and found a few pieces that I wanted to see in person. Went to the Ashley store in Panama City and looked at their selection. Kay Smith was the sales associate that was helping me. Asked her about a sofa and love seat combo that was online. She told me that it was not in the store but she could order it for me. She said that since it was not in store to see and try out, that if I ordered this combo I would have 90 days to return if it did not meet my expectations. Left to consider my options. Returned a few days later and was again told by Ms. Smith that I had 90 days to return for a store credit, so I placed the order. Delivery was delayed and Ms. Smith did not return my calls to check on availability, but it did arrive 7-10 late. Bottom line is this sofa did not meet my expectations due to construction and comfort. I attempted to reach Ms. Smith to initiate a return for store credit. Unable to reach her, I reached out to the store. I finally reached a store manager and she informed me that I only 72-hours to return the sofa. We went round and round to no avail. I feel that I was scammed into this purchase and that the store management does not really care about their customers nor their reputation! I have bought furniture from Ashley over the years in multiple locations, but the lack of quality, value and horrible customer service of this furniture will make me never buy at Ashley again and I will tell my experience to family and friends everywhere! read more

I worked with Donna Fielding during my trip to Ashley to buy a dresser. She provided excellent customer service. She took my partner and I around the store, and supplied us with a measuring tape and note paper to keep track of our choices, as well as hand sanitizer, since we're in the Covid era. Donna explained outright purchase, as well as financing options. Ultimately, we opted for an item from the clearance section to buy the dresser outright and take it home next day. Unhappy with the delivery time. We expected it to be a little while and were told up to 8 weeks if we came in the store instead of ordering online. I feel like we were manipulated just so they could receive a commission. She ended up charging the delivery fee even though if I ordered online, it says they will put it on the doorstep and deliver for free versus getting it installed in the house. She stated that had a fee too so I should just go with getting them to bring it inside. She misled us by saying that it would be delivered quicker and possibly sooner than 8 weeks. We are on week 9 now and haven't received our purchase. We get a text every so often that gets our hopes up but instead says they are providing us with an update in which the text has no update except for they are still watching for our order. I understand covid has set people back but how come these other companies are getting merchandise in within the week yet Ashley is taking over two months for the amount of money we dropped? Lastly, she charged me more for a mattress that was on their website $400 cheaper and thankfully I caught it and had them refund me the difference. read more

I have been in interior design for 40 years. Firstly the negative comments comparing them to Walmart or Ikea tells me that person has very little experience in knowing what the industry is like and suspect if they found "quality" it would be out of their price range. something for nothing. I generally sold much higher end furniture because that was my audience. We are now retired and price is important. True, they are not high end , however they have a very good handle on what is current and popular for todays buyer. Delivery time is a nightmare for ANY industry right now, so get over it. with the covid long lasting effects, all types of resources are subject to long delivery times. We had professional, personal associate, Aaron Wise. he was fairly new but was helpful and determined we had a good experience, and we did. It was made very clear about potential delivery times and went with it eyes wide open. prepared to up to 4 month wait. It took ONE WEEK!! Having lost the harp and finial (parts that attach the shade to a lamp) from one of our lamps in our move this week from Indiana, I went into the Ashley furniture here in Panama City to inquire about replacements as the lamps were purchased from Ashley furniture in Indiana. The sales reps were dismissive and curt telling me to go to Home Depot. I told them that they would not match they shrugged and said, in a sarcastic manner "Sorry, those parts cannot be ordered". Frustrated, I called the Indiana store from which I purchased the lamps and they are shipping me the parts free of charge. (I fully expected and intended to pay for them). So, while I love the furniture and lamps I purchased in Indiana, I will be buying my dining room and bedroom furniture for our new Panama City home from a store with better customer service than the local Ashley Furniture. read more

Worst experience ever! Ordered a sectional mid September. Told it would be delivered October 2 (that's 6 weeks) maybe late October at the absolute latest due to Covid. On October 2 I received half my sectional, and was told the other half would follow shortly. It is now December 9th and still no other half. I have been to the local Ashley store and get the run around. I have posted a complaint on Facebook where I received a message from customer service to private message them. I gave them my number and shortly had a call from a different person with no idea why they were calling me. The only thing they could say was they had no idea when the other half would come in. I told them that I looked on their website and now the couch was on sale and had free delivery. They said they were sorry that this has happened but they could offer me a $100 in store credit BUT it would not be redeemable until the other part of the couch was delivered. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? So not only can you not give me the new promotion, you are giving me a "deal" that I can't use for the unforeseen future!! I didn't buy this furniture to replace something, I bought it because me and my fiancé were finally able to move back into our house that was gutted from hurricane Michael. We couldn't live in it for a year and a half while it was being rebuilt and was finally to the point we could move in. I completely understand there is a pandemic, but if you don't have the employees or the materials tell your customers!! Don't make promises or sales you can't keep! Sales personnel are amazing, however, delivery is the worse I have ever experienced! Took an entire day off for delivery between 12:00 - 4:00. At a few minutes after 5:00, got a call from the delivery man assuring me they would be here by 7:00. It is now 8:15, no call, no delivery. I was excited when they had exactly the furniture I wanted! My first hint that this should not be the place I purchase from was that during my first visit, the associates didn't greet nor speak the first word to me, but I knew I wanted the furniture so I returned later that day with my boyfriend and we ended up ordering it anyway. I specifically needed the furniture because I was having surgery in 2 1/2 weeks and the associate said that there would be no problem getting it in time. She even looked up on their system and said that there was one at their MS store and it would even be in a week early! BUT when I CALLED to check the status the at the beginning of that week, she informed me that there was a "delay" in delivery. I began to panic... all she could say was that she was sorry (in a very snarky tone). I later called her back to see if we could drive to the MS store and pick it up ourselves and then in almost a laugh she said, "that's our distribution center, customers can't pick up from there!" So I said well this poses another problem.. Not once did she try to help out in any way, no offer to let me purchase the floor model or, make any other arrangements for assistance. I went the next day and had my deposit refunded to my credit card and I purchased the same furniture from Lindsey's furniture (who said no problem buying our floor model) AND it was $120 cheaper than I was going to pay at Ashley. They don't have to worry about me (or any of my friends or family) stepping foot in their store again. read more
