Needed a new couch (and that's all) Went in to just see what they had after checking out some stuff online. I was greeted but not hounded. Shirley checked on me and let me wander. They had so much to check out and compare. I decided on a sofa and Shirley don't push me to buy the set which I appreciated. I was qualified for 1 year Interest free financing. When I found out the decorative throw pillows weren't included, Shirley was able to get me a discount on purchasing them since they were the last 3! Then to save me money on delivery I got the option of door drop off delivery and I can have friends be here to carry in inside instead. Would definitely go back and have Shirley help again! The only con is delivery won't be for 6 weeks but I don't need to ditch my old set right now anyway. You can pick it up yourself quicker and for free if needed read more

The Ashley furniture guaranteed us that our Sofa and Loveseat set would be delivered before an event we had planned at our house on August 19th. delivery was scheduled by the Ashley shipping group for August 6th. On that date Ashley ONLY delivered the sofa and advised us that the loveseat was on back order. Ashley customer service was contacted by phone who advised us that the date for delivery of the loveseat was now August 18th. We contacted Ashley via their 800 customer service phone number on August 17th to confirm delivery of the loveseat for the next day and they were now advising that the earliest delivery date was now August 26th (after our event date of August 19th). We went to the store to ask their store manager if something could be done to expedite the delivery of the loveseat. The manager repeatedly said she was sorry, but there was nothing they could do. We suggested that they take the exact same loveseat off of their showroom floor and deliver that to us, lieu of the delayed, and back ordered loveseat. The store Manager said sorry that we can't do that. However, Ashley regularly moves older displayed furniture, discontinued styles, or floor models from their showroom floors to their designated clearance area to sell them at a discounted sale price to their customers. In this instance, Ashley could have "thought a bit out of the box"; taken some positive action; and offered us the loveseat off of their showroom floor in order to accommodate a disappointed, upset customer. Based on hundreds of online comments, apparently Ashley has a history of negative delivery experiences with last minute cancellations and missing furniture pieces. What is clear is that the online Customer Service personnel as well as the in store sales reps and especially the store Manager are so comfortable to their poor furniture deliver performance (and service after the sale) that they are pretty much indifferent to customer's complaints and requests for help with their deliveries. I would compare our experience with Ashley furniture to dealing with a used car sales lot, including: - scammy pricing - deceptive sales practices (discounted prices really aren't discounted; and wait until you get the sales pitch regarding the 5 year extended protection plan - what a bunch of hoo-ha, and a "waste of money") - high interest rates for a purchase on credit thru Sychrony; the interest rate is 34%. This rate is generally considered civilly usurious in most state statutes. But who cares about the poor hapless, stupid consumer.) Our advice is stay away, and get your furniture anywhere else. Absolutely unacceptable. This has been the worst retail experience my fiancée and I have ever had. We purchased a mattress from Ashley Furniture Outlet, paid for it in full, and immediately received a confirmation email stating we could pick it up the next day between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. We drove back the next day at 5:30 p.m. only to be told we couldn't pick it up because it was supposedly "locked in the back" and the delivery department had closed at 4:15 p.m. That directly contradicted the email Ashley sent us. We later discovered the mattress wasn't even locked away--it was sitting in the back where we bought it. We asked if we could simply carry it out ourselves, and Ashley refused, citing "liability reasons." We were then promised free delivery on Tuesday. Because Ashley failed to release the mattress we had already paid for, my fiancée and I were forced to continue paying for an Airbnb while also paying rent on our new apartment that we couldn't move into. Ashley's mistake literally cost us hundreds of dollars out of our own pockets. When Tuesday arrived, we called only to be told the earliest delivery wasn't Tuesday at all it was August 4. Another broken promise. No apology. No compensation. No accountability. Then it got even worse. We were told our delivery would be expedited, only to find out the mattress wasn't even available anymore because it had apparently been sold to someone else after we had already purchased and paid for it. We requested a refund, and we're still waiting for our money back while continuing to spend additional money on temporary housing because of Ashley's repeated failures. At every step, we were given conflicting information, empty promises, and excuses instead of solutions. This situation should never happen to customers who have already paid in full. Ashley Furniture has wasted our time, cost us money, and created an unbelievable amount of stress during what should have been an exciting move into our new home. Unless Ashley is willing to make this right by promptly issuing our refund and compensating us for the unnecessary expenses their mistakes caused, we will never shop here again and will continue sharing our experience so other customers know what to expect read more

I went into Ashley very excited about purchasing a new bedroom suit for my new place. I walked in and walked around for several minutes without even so much as being greeted. I finally locked eyes with a sales associate thinking she would come over or at least acknowledge my presence but after looking at me twice she still never even acknowledged me. I continued to walk around and finally made a comment saying I guess I don't look like I can afford anything in here. Then and ONLY then did a nearby sales associate ask me if I he could help me. Of course at this point I was over it. I told him no and that I was good to go. I went to the restroom and then left. I LOVE Ashley furniture but I will NEVER go back into that store EVER. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the service that I was given during our Memorial Day Sale shopping experience. The salesclerk worked with us for quite a while because I am very picky about choosing just the right furniture for our home. The wife and I came back multiple times to assure ourselves that we were making the right decision and every time we were greeted with excellent service. We chose a full living room set with a nice holiday discount and was given free delivery as well. We certainly will return for future furniture shopping. read more

I am not sure why this store has a low rating. My parents were moving into a new home and they wanted new furniture but we're not sure. They worked with a very patient and understanding young man, named Jacob. They had such a great experience that I decided to look at mattresses there. I asked for the same salesman to help and I am so glad that I did. He did not try and sell me something that I would not like, he listened to my comments and guided me to the perfect mattress. While checking out, there were other salesmen that were friendly and talkative, making the entire experience pleasant. I highly recommend and I highly recommend that you ask for this young man named Jacob, with the man bun....which is funny because my mom just couldn't stop talking about how he treated them so well! read more

My husband and I entered Ashley furniture on August 16. We went to find furniture for a family room and a new mattress. The staff while we were in the store was helpful and informative. When we were done and sat down with the sales person, TJ Johnson, we were finalizing paperwork and delivery date. We asked that all three items be delivered on the same day. Could that be done? My husband asked if it could be delivered on August 29 and he would take off work that day in order to help in the delivery. TJ Johnson assured my husband that that would give them plenty of time and all three items would be delivered all on August 29. He put it in the computer in front of us and said that that would be no problem all three items were to be delivered August 29. On August 18, my husband began to get bombarded by text messages instructing him that we would receive our mattress on August 29 and would not receive our sofa and love seat until September 2. We made several attempts to contact our sales person, TJ Johnson, but we were unable to. We looked at the business card that we were given from TJ and the office phone number was an automated number and you were only able to speak to people that were not even in the store. They were only reading what was on the screen when our requested to speak to TJ they were unable to do that because he wasn't at the same destination, the calling center was. Also, I attempted to contact him via his cell phone, which again went to voicemail, but he did text the following message to me TJ "I do apologize for missing your call I'm with a guest right now I just pulled your orders up and got them to my manager he reassured me that everything will be delivered on the 29th." I felt reassured we would receive our mattress, sofa and loveseat on August 29. However, I was wrong. We were once again told via text that we wouldn't receive our sofa and loveseat until 9/2. I called TJ to figure out what was going on. He said the dates can be changed for many reasons, one being the truck might be too full. Then he recommend I contact Customer Service, the number I had already tried 4 times and got no assistance. read more

He was exactly the right amount of helpful. I wish that the discontinued item we liked was not already sold. We saw this item in the closeout room and it was not available. Buyer Beware! After months of searching for the ideal kitchen table we finally found it at Ashley. Sadly within a few short months the finish is wearing unevenly and the chairs splintering. This must be a quality or manufacturing issue as this table is not heavily used. Originally we weren't worried since Ashley provided a one year warranty. As directed by Natalie at their 800 #, I sent an email and photos. Natalie was going to review and call me back to the primary number on file. Oddly when Natalie called back she called a secondary number of my spouse and not my primary number on file. We were informed they are not willing to do anything to address the issue, will not explain why, and won't put it in writing. We are very upset about the customer service, lack of honoring the warranty, and overall handling of the issue not to mention the huge waste of money. We purchased our sofa at this Ashley HomeStore location, and we had a fine experience. The showroom is large, so there are plenty of furniture and decor options, and the store was clean when we visited. We were greeted and asked if we needed any assistance, but the sales associates did not follow us around while we were shopping, which is appreciated. We had no trouble ordering our couch, or receiving the delivery. We've had the couch for three years, and it's still in pretty good shape. Ashley Furniture is a large furniture store, carrying items for every room in your house and patio. Any time I drop in, a sales rep instantly greets me. While I appreciate it during the times I am looking for a particular item, I feel a little suffocated (and guilty) during the times I only want to browse, knowing the reps work on commission. Ashley often runs promotions for long-term financing or payments, which is helpful if you are buying several pieces. While I've had luck with my son's bedroom items - bed and chest of drawers - I am leery of the quality of their leather. We purchased a leather recliner and after only 2 years it began to show wear. Within the 3rd year, the leather began flaking off. I would've thought it was limited to that chair, but my best friend also experienced this with his chaise lounger - and his house doesn't have kids or pets. Leave yourself plenty of time when shopping at Ashley. The store is very large and even though the looks can be narrowed down, you'll have a lot to look at. read more

we bought a bedroom set as well as a mattress for our guest bedroom. on delivery they gave us a window of 1-4 pm. the tracking said 5:30 pm. At 8:00 that night I got an email and text saying it was delivered. it was not. I got a call the next morning from the delivery guy and he said he would call later to set a time to deliver that day. As of 3:00 no phone call. I called Ashley furniture and got a not very nice lady and told her the story. she said at earliest it will be another week to be delivered. Not really acceptable but she won't budge. I also asked for delivery fee to be refunded and so far am getting a lot of pushback on that as well. If there is an issue please just give me a call and tell me instead of texting saying it was delivered. And you would think it would then be priority delivery the next day or first available time we can be home. The lady who sold us all of this was sooooo nice but the delivery process after a nightmare so far. Would love to be contacted by corporate. thanks! read more

The evening we purchased nearly $9k worth of furniture, we were told everything is in stock and can be delivered as early as tomorrow. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We bought set of sofas from them along with an ottoman. I waited to inbox the ottoman and realized there were no legs in the box. I called them for an entire hour, the first time customer service hung up on me. It would have been a mistake but the 7 other times I called the line was just dead air. First of all, I want to give a huge shout-out to our original salesman, Carl Knifley. He was extremely professional, kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and an overall good person. I can't say the same for other associates we have dealt with at this location. We were given an estimated delivery date for over $5k in furniture of 9/26. About a week in advance, my girlfriend called the delivery line and was given a confirmation date of 9/29, which was fine. By Sunday 9/27, we have received no additional communication from Ashley furniture, so we decided to visit the store directly, at around 6:30PM. This is where things get very sour. As we are walking into the showroom floor, we are immediately approached by a salesman--short, stocky, Caucasian with black hair. He acted excited to see us, until we told him that we were there to look at the furniture we had already paid for. As soon as he realized he could not get a commission out of us, his face completely changed and he became extremely distant and unhelpful. When I asked who we could talk to to check on our delivery status, he pointed over his shoulder, said "at the desk," made some air-keyboard movements with his fingers, and ran away. "Okay, that was weird and disrespectful," we both said. I am a customer service professional, so that experience was sickening to me. Because he didn't give us clear direction on what desk we should actually head over to, we walked over to the large office-space looking area where we saw someone sitting at a desk. We approached the counter and were not acknowledged at all by a Caucasian woman with long black hair and long l, painted finger nails. I said "hello" and she raised her eyes to me and said nothing. I then asked if we could check on our order status. We gave her the necessary information and began giving us random dates deep into October for individual pieces of furniture. She then said something about a "box being unchecked," which we didn't understand. Did someone mess up our order? I thought to myself, am I really expected to memorize all of these estimated delivery dates? I asked for a printout of the pieces with delivery dates, and for whatever reason, she just "couldn't do it" and "would email us tomorrow." It's Tuesday, and we have received no such email. Now we are calling the store and have been on hold forever. We have done this for the past few days, and no one answers after hours of being on hold, and in many cases, someone simply picks up and hangs up the phone. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I would expect much better care for customers who are investing so much money in your products. Again, huge shout out to Carl Knifely! But the other two I mentioned, managers, check the schedule for Sunday 9/27 toward closing. They were extremely rude and unprofessional and have no place working in customer service. I'd highly suggest placing them in a training program. read more

As lots of reviews here say, experience at the store was okay but the delivery process is horrible. I purchased many pieces for over $5K in early July. On 7/20, I got the first text message from Ashley HomeStore saying my furniture will be delivered on 9/5. It was about two weeks longer than I was told at the time of purchase but it was okay. On 7/27, I got another text saying that my delivery date is changed to 9/11. One additional week delay. Considering COVID related situation, I thought it is understandable. On 8/17, I received another text saying mine will be delivered in 5-7 weeks. It falls between 9/21 and 10/5. I was not happy with no set date but I didn't make a big deal out of it. Since 8/17, there has been no communications or what so ever from Ashely. So I contacted Ashely today, 10/9, and found out that my delivery date is changed to 11/24 which is ridiculous. You pay in full up front in July and your furniture will be delivered more than 4 month? What's more frustrating is that there is no guarantee that my furniture will be delivered on 11/24 which is 2 days before Thanksgiving. This is what has happened so far and I will keep this review updated as any events related to my order happen. With this ongoing horrible delivery process issue, I will never shop at Ashley again. read more

Have been trying non stop for weeks to get my ottoman replaced or repair since it showed up damaged. Have constantly waited on hold for hours just to get hung up on, been told I'd get a call back and never have. When you spend 350$ on an ottoman that shows up damaged you would think it would be a priority to take care of your customers. Not even asking for a new one I just want what I ordered to be fixed! If I could give this 0 stars I would. I chose a bedroom and living room set and was ready to continue with my purchase and already had paid a $300 deposit using my debit card. I intended on using my synchrony HOME credit card to pay the balance however Synchrony stopped working with Ashley Home stores a few months ago and I wasnt aware. No harm no foul......yet. I requested the refund of my $300 deposit and was denied. Why? Because apparently all refunds need to go through their corporate office (even though it clearly states on their doors that they are independently owned and operated, see picture). After speaking to the manager (Shannon, who really didnt care to help me) who made it very clear to me that I was not going to be able to walk out of the store with my money; she handed me a generic paper (which I guess is a request for refund) which stated that the reason for the refund was because I didnt want the product anymore (which is a lie). Ask yourselves this question. Have you ever requested a refund at any retail establishment and had proper documentation and not been able to receive it on the spot? I know the customer isnt always right, but I just walked out of that place -$300 with no product and nothing to show for it. Who is promising me I'll see that money? Do yourselves a huge favor and stay away from this store. ***Update*** After calling their customer service, was notified that it would take 7-10 business days to refund my money. Not only that but I was told that all refunds go through the store level (contradictory to what was told to me at the store). So after getting the run around, like most customers have gotten (based on reading other reviews) I decided that I'm done playing games and filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Within an hour, I got a phone call from Ashley Home stores "escalation department" explaining to me the same BS policy that I've heard numerous times from other representatives. After explaining to her that I'm not going to drop the complaint until I get refunded, she said she will try to expedite it. Later on in the day i got a call back stating that it has been processed back to my account. And am now waiting for it to be posted. All this headache for a 100% justified refund where i didnt even have a product to return. All i wanted was my deposit refunded. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service and communication. My husband and I purchased 3 couch cushion covers 2 weeks ago. Ordered and paid for in the store. Unfortunately our dog chewed through them and of course the $300 insurance we purchased doesn't cover tears. I called 2 times to get an update of our delivery and got no information. No shipping number, no shipping estimate date, nothing. After calling for the third time I was told they couldn't find our order and I would receive a call back...We did not receive a call back. The next day we tried calling the store multiple times and received a message saying they're closed on a Sunday at 1pm. Knowing that the store was open, we decided to make our way to the store to get an answer. When we arrived we were told that our order had been deleted from the system with no reason as to why. My husband I have been very confused and exhausted throughout this whole process. The cushions now have to be reordered and will have to wait 2 additional weeks with no further input on next steps. I ordered a bed a while ago for my daughter. When it was finally delivered the men who showed up to put the bed together screwed the screws in wrong. Meaning the handles were inside the drawer instead of outside the drawers. I made several attempts to actually speak with someone about getting them back out to fix the issue because when they put the bed together they stripped the screws. ***UPDATE*** I went into the store today to talk face to face to someone. Carolyn in the back was super helpful. She without question fixed everything. Apparently, once the items are shipped and delivered, you aren't speaking to the store anymore. Come in and speak to the store you purchased the product from. I added 2 stars because the service you get is NOT the store you purchased it from. Head into the store and get better service. I needed to furnish a house, so I was going to purchase furniture for a room at a time. I started with my living room. We purchased a coffee table and 3 end tables. They were delivered and I immediately noticed the coffee table lid did not close fully. The delivery guy called in a service tech. When they called to schedule a tech visit, I informed them that one of the end tables doors did not shut. The woman on the phone said they will take a look at it when they come to fix the coffee table. I had scheduled an appointment to have the tech come out. I wasn't home, my wife had made plans, but had to cancel so the tech could come and fix these tables. The tech called my cell phone and I was un able to answer my phone due to work. So they canceled my appointment. My wife essentially wasted her morning. Who cancels an appointment because you don't answer your phone? The tech finally comes out to the house. He can not fix either pieces of furniture. He has me sign a paper stating I want the items replaced. A week goes by (I understand xmas and New Years happens), but no phone call to schedule the delivery. I call the store I purchased the furniture from. This is where I receive the absolute WORST customer service ever. The woman, I believe her name was Isis, first states that the furniture has been in my house since it was delivered. That it has been in the house to long that there is nothing I can do. She refuses to listen to my story and solve the problem. She just repeats the same line over and over again. I ask to speak to her manager. I can not recall her name, but she's essentially useless. There is literally zero problem solving going on. They just set up another tech repair to come out to tell me the same thing the first tech told me. So essentially wasting a third and forth day of my life for this stupid furniture. I was going to spend a lot of money on furniture for all the rooms of my house, you can GUARANTEE that I will NOT be purchasing another piece of furniture from any Ashley store ever again. I would strongly recommend that you not purchase anything from any Ashley store. Their customer service and problem solving is horrendous. Spend a few extra dollars and purchase from a different company, you won't be disappointed. read more

First I'd like to say that the employees working at the store are SUPER helpful. Shirley greeted us when we first went in the store and went above and beyond to help us find a bedroom set that we loved. She also pulled Martin in to help us find the perfect mattress for us. They both spent a great deal of time with us and we were very impressed. That night we ordered our brand new adjustable bed, mattress, and nightstand. Shirley took care of our financing and did everything she could to help us from messing up our new house closing that was happening a few days later. After closing on our house we went back again to finish our order and ended up adding on a new dining table as well. Again, Shirley was fantastic! We knew upon finishing our order that everything but the nightstands were supposed to deliver at the same time. We confirmed our delivery when we got the text the day or two before and then we received a call saying that one of the two mattresses was on delay. (we had ordered 2 twin xl for a king frame). So, now my husband is going to have to sleep on an air mattress for a couple of days. Not a huge deal but frustrating. Delivery day #1 comes and when the delivery crew arrives they are very nice and do a good job delivery, except... they were given the wrong dresser. Apparently two numbers got flip-flopped when the order was put in. I understand how this can happen but still frustrating. At this point we have a bed frame, with one of two mattresses and a dining table. I stop by the store after work that day as I work nearby to see what had happened regarding the wrong delivery and the manager, Caroline, helped me out. She corrected which dresser was supposed to deliver and even was able to move the mattress and night stand delivery dates up. She was super helpful and nice. However... when we received our delivery text and confirmed, we got another phone call. Apparently the only thing available for the day she had put in was just the mattress again. So, despite her picking an available date, it still wasn't happening. I called at this point and asked Caroline about it and she was not able to reach the location that had the furniture so couldn't help us at all in getting things resolved. Delivery 2 came... mattress only... same crew as first time, still very friendly. Delivery 3 finally came... dresser and night stands. This was on a weekend and was a completely different crew. They weren't as friendly as the other crew, but still cordial. They got the correct dresser and the nightstands in only for me to spot a couple of dings on the dresser and a tiny tear in the felt of one drawer. He took a furniture pen to the two dings and told us we could call for a replacement. As for calling to get a replacement... my husband & I both agreed we'd just stick with the dings because we didn't want to deal with Ashley on this order any more. As much as we loved the people at the store that helped us (especially Martin & Shirley!!!), we couldn't believe how horrible the scheduling system was. I'm not sure how the store could see days available and then everything got changed so many times! We ended up needing a new couch because our old one wouldn't fit downstairs on moving day, but instead of going to Ashley we ended up at Haverty's and the delivery there was so much better. So, all in all, I'm a bit torn on how I feel about this company. I think their scheduling system needs a LOT of work. If they could improve it they'd probably have a great company, but the way things stand now, I'm hesitant to go back. read more

We bought a bunch of furniture, maybe $4k worth, back in July 2020. The customer service representative who helped us out was very helpful and very nice. The major issue was that once we purchased everything the estimated delivery date was sometime a couple weeks later in August but I took us I think two or three months to get everything. The mattress took so long to be delivered that after a month I couldn't stand it anymore, walked into mattress firm just for kicks, and walked out with another mattress that from Friday only took them till Tuesday to deliver. Ashley had me thinking this would not be possible because everybody was dealing with issues due to Covid. Now when you can get a mattress in 4 days versus 3 months that's a problem. Also one of their employees, not the one who helped me, is very rude and needs to learn when to shut his mouth. He blamed my dog which the store allowed me to take in for peeing on furniture when there was another dog in the store at the same time and my wife said that it was not us. He continued to follow her and argue with her, stating that the size of the pee means that it was our dog because the other dog was small and it can't produce that much pee. Apparently Ashley's employs an expert in the bodily function of dogs. You need to learn when to stop the conversation when you are an employee and the other person is a customer. Due to that interaction alone I will probably never return to the store. I tried the other day but it is very embarrassing and I'm always with the dog as he assists me in hearing and has separation anxiety himself. Overall they really don't have any idea when any of the furniture is going to come. They provide good customer service when selecting the furniture off the floor, but it appears that there's a very strong disconnect as I think the warehouse is elsewhere. They really provide very little assistance and you have to call like a 1-800 number, while I was at work I called several times trying to see where my furniture was at. I will say that Martin was an extremely helpful customer service representative and he did respond to me by email and try his best to give me updates which at times decreased the number of times I had to call that 1-800 number. He is the reason why I'll give three stars instead of one. read more

I had pretty high hopes for this visit because I've heard Ashley furniture is pretty nice. When we entered, everything looked really nice -- lots of stuff; couches, dining and bedroom sets, art work and all the fancy decor you see on HGTV makeovers. We walked around for a bit; sitting on couches and measuring pieces on our own. I found the "Ashley Cafe" -- free coffee and water. I thought it was quaint and welcoming. Then the sales guy approaches and asked if I needed help... I told him my dimensions and what I was looking for (with the knowledge that my set-up was possible -- because if just found it at another store); he told me -- I don't think you'll find that. He paraded me around pointing out and measuring things, never giving me a chance to look, sit or digest anything he was saying. I told him "thank you", and "I'll just look around" a few times before he finally let me browse on my own. After walking the store by myself; I realized they don't really have a fantastic selection and didn't seem to want to help me find something. So I'm "peacing out". read more

Placed an online order and was quoted a delivery date. Ashley changed the date an additional 6 weeks via email. I went to the store because the email does not accept responses and in the store they told me they do not help with online orders. Gave me a number to a very rude person that not only would not cancel the order without also speaking to my wife (even though everything about this order is in my name) but hung up on me when I wanted to speak to her supervisor. Do not go to the Ashley outlet in Jeffersontown! I have been lied to! I saw a fireplace in the clearance section without the insert marked for 1399. The fireplace in the front of the store has a separate price for insert. I asked the manager Dre if the fireplace insert was purchased separately. He said yes and even looked the fireplace up. It was dark wood with three separate gouges where you could see the light wood on the front with no handles for the two doors. He said that he would mark it down to 7 hundred and something. Because of the damage. I purchased 2 other things and while driving to the back to pick up these things he sold my husband the fireplace insert for over $200. We drove over an hour to get home. When I unloaded the fireplace I stuck a screwdriver in the handle holes of the doors to open them only to find out that there were no shelves! I told my husband and it was at that moment I found out that he purchased an electric insert that NO ONE has even seen. I looked online to purchase the shelves only to find out that it comes as one whole unit WITH the fireplace insert and it is $1099 new. I called Dre and he said I gave you a hundred dollars off. There are severe gouges in the wood, no shelves, and no handles! I explained that he was dishonest with me and he got mad and reverted to the discount he gave me. I asked to speak to someone else and he said that he would have Matt A. The store manager personally give me a call. I have left several messages since then. No call back! I and my family are AVID Ashley furniture customers, nationwide, might I add. Historically their attention to detail and customer care are noteworthy and I have sent communications to management before speaking to their great service. We've never had problems before so this is ONE incident has left my ENTIRE family very confused and VERY frustrated. While my sister was leaving, she received a call that the delivery people were at her house to drop off her newly ordered dresser. When she got there, they tell her it's scratched and they were made to deliver it anyway. Naturally, she refuses and calls the store to get compensation for the defected product delivered to her and the inconvenience of a poorly handled experience. The representative she spoke with informed her the best they can do is give her 5% of her purchase back on a GIFT CARD. She didn't pay with a gift card. Furthermore, it is a furniture store, what is a $25 gift card going to compensate for? She then asked to speak to a supervisor and is on hold for approximately five minutes. Instead of responding with the supervisor to address the situation, it is the same representative on the phone who relays a message from the supervisor and is waiting to get the 5% put back on my card and that they'll call me back. She again asks for a supervisor, yet now, none are available. As a former sales and hospitality manager myself, not handling a customer complaint personally and offering 5% on a gift card is flat out insulting. Inflation and financial consciousness have affected all of us (business and customer alike) therefore, the customer service and purchasing experience SHOULD be strengthened to ensure a returning customer in the future. This experience has shaken that relationship and has yet to been made right. Hopefully, it is just a reflection of this one location. I will never shop at this store again. The selection was good and the staff was nice, however the delivery has been an outrage. I ordered and paid in full in June and my latest delivery estimate is now October. They have provided delivery dates multiple times when I have contacted them, then failed to call me to tell me it was delayed. Each time I call, they tell me different pieces of my sectional will be another week, and again provide me a date and again, don't call to inform me that it's been delayed. We just purchased a couch from Ashley. Love the couch but the customer service has been terrible. My delivery date was schedule for a Wednesday. On that Tuesday, I call because I've not received a delivery window. I'm told my couch is back ordered. I press because the sales guy said it was in stock and that was just the first available date. I'm told they will issue a "help ticket" but there's no one to speak too. I then receive an text confirming delivery for Saturday. Clearly it's not backordered. Why couldnt someone just say hey we messed up, can we deliver Saturday? Then on Saturday, the delivery is past 8 pm. And the couch is broken. It doesn't connect right. And we're told "someone from Ashley will fix or replace" but given no indication of when. I don't want a broken couch in my living room for weeks. I also didn't pay full price for a broken couch so it can be repaired at a discount or replaced quickly. But it would be nice to speak with someone who can actually help. No star !! I purchased 13 items and the furnitures were delivered on Feb 6,2015. However, the condition of furnitures were awful. First of all, there were scratches on two dining chairs and one reclining sofa. The door of TV stand was not closed and also Ashely made wrong hole for the dining table, so the dining base and table part were not assembled. We couldn't use the dining table until now (more than two months/ April 07, 2015). I contacted to customer service and manager Sharon and Stacy. They said, they will call back on Monday, but they don't do anything. I didn't get any service and I am still waiting their call. Don't by any furnitures at Louisville Ashely furniture store because they are independent store and you are not getting any service from them.My dining is on the carpet for two months. read more

For over 800$ we bought coverage to get our furniture cleaned anytime we needed it. After calling Ashley Furniture to have my couches cleaned and our kitchen table chair fixed, they gave us the run around,was hung up on several times after waiting for hours,finally got to talk with someone only to be told they would not fix the kitchen table chair because it doesn't cover wood-this was never explained to us while we spent over 800$ for coverage on it- then was told they would not clean the couch either. Felt like I was at a car lot. Salesman latched on as soon as we walked into the store this past weekend and never left our side. We did purchase a reclining sectional but was disappointed to find we have to wait 3 weeks for delivery. We are 15 minutes southeast from the Blakenbaker store. Was initially told delivery would come from Lexington which is an hour away. Luckily the salesman was wrong. Our purchase was made in anticipation that a recliner may be needed following a MAJOR surgery. Now that I have read all the reviews regarding Ashley Home Store I'm having anxiety that our sectional will not be delivered on the scheduled date or something will be wrong with the piece. My partner and I bought a living room set from this store. The experience at the store was fine but the delivery process has been a pain in the butt. We found out when the delivery people got here that half of our order wasn't coming. I called customer service and was unable to reach a representative that could tell me when we could expect our second half of the purchase until the sixth call. And then they told me to call back in a few days because they couldn't guarantee the delivery even when it was back in stock. We bought the set because the sales representative told us it was in stock. The customer services representative said we should have known it was a possibility that it wasn't going to be delivered when it was originally scheduled. Not the end of the world. Their customer service just needs some work. Any explanation or sign of apology would have gone a long way. I won't be returning based just on the delivery experience. read more
