Naim is very nice and personable and was even nice enough to get my service dog some water, they even offered a blanket for my service dog to lay on!It was the best experience I could have since it's my first time in the store! Ashley Furniture did me a solid. I paid a premium for this, but it ended up being worth it. Purchased a mattress here about a year ago and since then it started really sinking in the middle. It was a durofoam but I won't mention brands. It got so bad it was hurting my back to sleep on it, so I called the store. They arranged to have a team come out and do a mattress inspection and sure enough, they said it was one of the worst defects they've ever seen. Upon calling Ashley a week later they tried to tell me the manufacture warranty didn't cover the defect as it "wasn't sinking enough", but they would call me back. I took it upon myself to call the manufacture directly and they informed me they in fact DID cover this issue and I had a 10 year warranty. Ashley ended up calling me back and in fact did arrange for a full replacement and I had the option to switch brands, which I did. 3 weeks later I was able to go in store and the associates helped me choose a new mattress. They even threw in 2 pillows for free! ($220 value!) 2 weeks later the mattress was delivered and it's been great. So, the long wait aside and phone battle back and forth ended up being worth it! Now here's a story: we didn't expect to leave with anything but these two young men were a joy to work with. We laid on some mattresses, made some jokes, and in the end it payed off for everyone. Kaleb wasn't overbearing, he gave us time & space to check things out and get a feel for what we wanted. If he didn't have an answer to our questions, he asked Ryan. The best part about our trip was at the end when all three gentlemen, Kaleb, Ryan, & James worked together to get us the best deals possible! We had a delightful in-store salesperson, Janet. We weren't ready to buy at that moment, because we needed to go home and measure, so she said to call her the next day and she could place our order for us over the phone. We called her the next day and she told us she wasn't working, and that she wouldn't be working for several more days. Ugh. So, we placed our order online instead. The first two items arrived damaged. 1 - on the bottom of the leather ottoman, there was a sloppy, errant staple that was through the leather. 2 - the cabinet arrived with a broken shelf. Neither of these were from shipping damage. After SEVERAL phone calls into customer service, with the last being 28 minutes on hold, someone finally helped us. We learned online support is different from in-store and once you buy online, you cannot go to the store for customer service situations. If you have a customer service issue stemming from an online order, you are totally held hostage to ridiculously long hold times listening to on-hold messaging about how great their products and craftsmanship is. They are shipping us a new/replacement cabinet, but who knows how this will be. We are holding our breath on how the sofa and chair will be when it arrives. And we are fully ready to cancel our enter order if there are any more quality issues. We are just done with the subpar quality and service. I just wish I had read the reviews on how awful this place was before we placed our order. I just doesn't seem anyone in management, or up the district chain cares, otherwise better quality controls would be in place and maybe we would see some responses from leadership on the issues people are sharing online. read more

I placed the order on Nov 16th hoping to get it for Thanksgiving, no chance. It was then scheduled to be delivered today Dec 21st. Great, I will have it for Christmas entertaining. There were no calls and when I called to inquire on the delivery time I was told that it would be delivered on the 27th. Are you kidding??? They said they sent me an email telling me that, except the email just said to call them, no details. What a terrible business model, have customers come in and go through the monitor for what you want, order, then call to schedule delivery, if you can get through and speak to someone, then do not communicate with them until they inquire. We purchased a table and four chairs which was very expensive. It was installed incorrectly with one of the posts upside down and a crack down the center from not being aligned correctly. One of the chairs legs then broke after just a few months with minimal usage. We notified the company and have been waiting for six months for repairs and now just want the table gone and a refund. In addition, the chairs looks nice however are very cheap with the center feeling like it will give way when sitting in it. Buyer beware. Stopped in to help my mother with her furniture. I felt like we were ignored when we walked in and they staff was sitting around a table just hanging out. They do have some nice items but a bit overpriced. My mom had a delivery missing pieces and they were all completely shocked. Like how does this ever happen. My wife and I purchased a living room couch in October, was given a phone number to call to schedule delivery, they refused to answer my call, or call back for 96 hours at which time I only got through because I called Ashley corporate. Delivery scheduled for today, December 21st, we moved all of our old stuff out in preparation for the new stuff today. They called at 1210, left a message, the phone never rang so I'm sure they left a direct message, saying the couches were still in production. But today is delivery day, how did you not know this yesterday? Last Monday? I mean, I have no furniture in my house right now. And now I have been on hold for 36 minutes waiting to talk to a human. Customer service is pure shit. This is supposed to be a top tier store, not big lots or the family dollar! My girlfriend and I went to Ashley's because she was building a house and I just purchased a new house. We both we excited to help each other pick things out and Ashley's had a great selection and reasonable prices. She bought some furniture from there a year prior and really liked a certain sales women. (One of the dressers she bought the paint was starting to peal so she wanted to ask her about the warranty process. She paid for the extended warranty) When we got there the sales women was great we really enjoyed working with her and made a combined purchase of over $ 8,000. There was a delivery charge of over $ 800 which I was not a fan of. I shrugged it off because I like the things I picked out. At the time of purchase the made it a point to tell us multiple times to call and schedule the delivery the next day (which was Saturday). So we did. The paper the gave me said they closed at 4 pm. I was at work until 3 pm. I called right when I got out and was on hold for 20 mins and could not get through so I left a message for them to call me back. She had the same experience. On Monday at 830 am they called me back. I missed the call because I was mowing the lawn. I called back only 10 minutes later and was on hold for another 20 minutes. This time I was successful in getting through and scheduling. My girlfriend never got a call back. She called again on Monday and left a message again. On Tuesday called she called again and finally got through. They were short and rude to her. She also call the warranty company She explained that the dresser she bought was pealing. Before she sent an photos or anything, the lady was said it probably was something she cleaned with or her daughter sprayed it with something. She told them that her other daughter has the same dresser and they use the same cleaning products and her daughter would spray a dresser. They asked her to send photos and they would look into it. Mind you this is the extended warranty see paid for. She sent it all and they promptly called and said they wouldn't cover it. It was not something they cover. This upset her tremendously because the dresser was only a year old. She asked me how my experience has been and I told her it was not the best but we liked the things we picked out. So we decided to contact the sales person. She promptly replied and told her she would look into it. She called back a few hours later and she talked to the manager and they would be contacting her. A few day passed by and we heard nothing. At this point we are talking about cancelling the order so we called the sales person again. She was out of town and drove back to speak with the manager. She said she understood and would understand if we canceled but give them another chance. The manger said that they would call. He did and said that there was nothing he do about the dresser. We decided to cancel the order and the sales person would but there was a head person at corporate at the store today and that she would speak to her. We should be patient. The sales woman called back and said the corporate person would contact my girlfriend. She did not at that time. We called again a day later and still they did not call. That night the warranty company called and were very rude about it and said that they will now cover it. It will be order and deliver. The delivery company would be calling. At this point we both we just done and wanted to be out of this. I went to the store to cancel and now this is when they started to take it seriously. The called the corporate person. I spoke to on the phone. She kept saying that she did not know she was going to call. She kept saying how Ashley's was a family company (mind you on the way I listened to their commercial bragging about how they are the largest). She was not helpful and a little condescending. I told her she would need to speak to my girlfriend. She did and said let just get this done. She assured her we would get 'VIP' treatment from now on. She gave Kathryn a gift card and waived my delivery charge. We did not ask for anything just to be treated respectfully. It was nice she offered. I wish this was the end. When my delivery was scheduled I was moving in and had the time off to meet them. Everything came except the couch. It was damaged and had to reordered. The problem is I had no more time to take off. They would call when it came in. I begged them to at least give me an window. They told me to the would call when they were an hour away. Which they did. at 9 am. Problem is they came at 12:45 pm. I had to go into work late because of that. My girlfriend waited 1 month to hear from them about the dresser. She contacted the corporate person 3 times and did not hear from them. She had to go back to the sales person. Finally it was scheduled and delivered. Summary: Great selection, good sales people, scheduling the delivery is a nightmare, follow threw needs work. I will never use this store again. It has nothing to do with the quality, or the cost, it has everything to do with the scheduling of the delivery of the furniture. They give you a number to call and when you call you are immediately put on hold. You sit on hold for ten minutes then the recording offers you the opportunity to request a call back if you push "1". Well when you push "1" there is no space so you sit on hold for another 10 minutes. Eventually, after a 1/2 hour there may be space on the callback queue. If you're lucky enough you get placed on the queue and they call you back. And don't believe them when they say a call back in 30 minutes. It is usually an hour or more. So you wait and you don't want to miss their call but if you do take or make a call that is when they will call, they leave a message and have you call the same number you just sat on hold for 1/2 an hour and waited all day for a call. So guess what, you start the process all over again and by the end of the day you have wasted an hour on hold and spent the whole day waiting for a call. Here's a nifty idea Ashley Home stores. If you call back and leave a message don't make the customer call the same number and sit on hold, let them call a customer service agent directly. Or better yet, hire more people. You are very proud that Ashely is America's number 1 furniture store, I know this because I heard it on the recording oh.....maybe a thousand times while I was on hold. I'm sure you can hire more people to answer the phones. Over the course of two weeks I spent at least , at least 2 1/2 hours on hold. Just on hold. Ridiculous! Will never use them again! read more

I back all of the negative reviews of this place as of recent, just to add another case against them. we ordered a table and chairs set. The table arrived on 3/3 with no chairs... went back and forth with 3 different people on delivery of the chairs... as of 3/9 we were told there was no update on the arrival of the chairs. On 3/10 we get a random text that the truck is coming for delivery in ten minutes. Luckily I was able to get out of work to meet the truck... I signed for the package that was supposed to be left at the door according to the driver who thankfully had called us because he felt uncomfortable doing so. Once the drivers leave I open the box and find out that it is not my chairs but a giant recliner chair... we immediately called them thinking they just dropped off wrong the box. We were told they didn't have our chairs but they would come get the recliner on 3/11. They never came. So now I have a dining room with no chairs... my old chairs don't work because they are too low for the new table and I have a giant recliner box in my 1000 sq foot apartment. We were escalated through 3 different mangers who all told us there is nothing the best they can do is pick up the chair on 3/17. When we told them that is unacceptable they told us they would look into refunding us. So We said no that's fine we'll just keep the recliner... I've looked into the legal side of these things and am not 100 percent but pretty sure this would count as a unsolicited package because there is no shipping address on it. When I told the manager that. He threatened to call the police..... so after a heated exchange I agreed to let him work out things on his side and get back to me.... today we were told that they will give us 100 dollar refund and they still can't come get the chair until Wednesday. I would honestly tell people to garbage pick their furniture before buying from these people... Only giving this shady place one star because I have to in order to write a review. Ordered an extremely expensive mattress with an adjustable base. Same day, ordered a headboard that 2 different salesmen assured would fit the base. Had to wait over a month for headboard and then did not have correct brackets for base. They said they would ship correct brackets, new brackets came and were the exact ones as the first brackets. Now they say that they can't cover cost of brackets because the brackets needed come directly from Simmons. So I have a headboard that doesn't attach to base u bless I shell out more money for the correct brackets. They are completely shady, useless and an all around terrible company. Two days before the delivery, our sales person calls at 5 pm on Saturday to tell us that the furniture we ordered was discontinued. She offered us a floor model (used furniture )and demanded that we pay for it by phone right now. I guess that way she would receive the commission How rude to call after a month then offer us used furniture that we must pay for right now with out even getting a look at the condition it was in. I was given a gift card due to our $3000 dollar bedroom set taking longer than anticipated . I went into the Orchard Park location store in which to use this card which clearly states on back to be used like cash upon purchase. I also had a coupon book mailed specifically to me in which to use $50 off any purchase of $199 or more when I was told I couldn't use both promotions. The gift card was not a promotion it states it is to be used as payment on back of the card. I was treated rudely by salesperson who check with the manager. The manager never once came over to explain when he seen we were upset. I called corporate and they stated they cannot control what each store franchise does. I'm not one to ever post reviews, but I have to warn anyone who is even thinking of purchasing from this store. Working with Ashley Furniture in Orchard Park has been the worst customer service experience I've ever had to deal with. This has been a 2 month issue. I've gone back and forth between Orchard Park and Batavia SEVEN times because of missing parts, wrong parts, or just plain issues. Two months later and I'm still missing a main support to our bed. They refunded us $100 and thought that was sufficient for the inconveniences - I'm pretty sure I've spent more on gas to go back and forth between these places than the $100 is worth. They forgot to order the sides of the bed when we first purchased it, so they're also telling me that they "ordered those at no cost for us" - BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T ORDER THEM WITH THE ENTIRE BED! So they're telling me they technically gave us $250 off - even though the bed rails were not ordered correctly on their end. I have called countless times, been told the part is being overnighted on 3 different occasions and that I'll be getting a call back from a manager more times than that, but a manager has only called me one time after my seventh visit, and another time this morning as I asked for my refund. After I've had this issue, I've talked to friends and co-workers and not a single person has said they've had a smooth transaction with Ashley. A couple of those friends have also had their entire transactions refunded, but the "manager" said she couldn't do that for mine. Save yourself a headache, order the same quality furniture from Amazon, and be assured all the parts will be included. This company will tell you one thing and do something different. I have never felt more lied to than I did today. The sales person told me that the "Durablend" material would hold up great, we didn't believe it so we were told about the extended warranty and how we would be protected. We bought a $2500 couch and the warranty as well. Of course several years in the couch finish has been wearing and flaking little by little... The manufacturer of the couch told us nothing was covered, The warranty company told us nothing was covered and now Ashley wants to give us the same durablend fabric that is failing us to replace the fabric on our couch when all I asked for was a $300 credit towards a different couch and different material as we do not trust this fabric any longer. Ashley refused. all I can say is DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AND THEY DONT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS OR THE WARRANTIES THEY SELL. NOT EVEN THIER MANUFACTURERS STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL. Wow these guys are completely incompetent. Ordered THOUSANDS of dollars worth of furniture and it took them FIVE SEPARATE deliveries spanning 4 months to get things right. Our furniture was supposed to be delivered in Sept. 2010 and we finally got all pieces under our roof in decent shape in the beginning of December 2010. Furniture delivery was missing pieces (entire pieces of the set) on one occasion, scratched on two other occasions, and assembled incorrectly on yet another occasion. Delivery personnel tried to pressure us into accepting the sub-par quality & defected furniture simply because they had already brought it in our house and/or carried it upstairs to its' final place. Not my fault you decided to unwrap it IN THE TRUCK and not verify it was in good shape prior to carrying it all the way in. I'm not being picky here either. They'll tell you, "some items have natural blemishes/discoloration/etc." Bologna! The defects we had were flat out scratches - DEEP ones - a misaligned handle on a night stand, and one nightstand REPLACEMENT they brought us had a HANDPRINT in it with a lack of proper staining. It's like the guy staining it was resting a hand on it and forgot to stand where his hand was. Absolutely ridiculous for the level of money we spent. Our bed frame was put together in a rush as well. We chose one that has no box spring and so there are crossbeam supports which have wooden blocks under them that stabilize the weight of your mattress against the floor. THEY LEFT THE WOODEN SUPPORT BLOCKS BARELY ASSEMBLED AT ANGLES when they were trying to put my mattress on it. I had to stop them and inform them what the purpose of the support blocks were for in the first place so they'd fix it. Had I not noticed this and watched them assemble it the crossbeam support slats would have cracked immediately upon laying on my bed (it's a king and the mattress weights a ton). Unfortunately my wife and I decided AFTER getting the entire set finally delivered that we indeed did want to go ahead and purchase a 2nd matching night stand. Wow - SSDD (Same $h^t Different Day). We opted for in-store pick up since it was just a night stand. Got a call to come pick it up. Went around back to load it up and the guy was just going to load the wrapped up night stand in our vehicle. Told him, "No way - after the problems we've had I want to see that thing before I drive off with it." He opens it up and what do we find??? A HUGE CRACK down the side. What a waste of my time... driving the 15 miles to the location for pickup only to once again find issue with a supposed "quality" product. Garbage. Listen - I have it on good word from another furniture place we ordered other items from that EVERY FURNITURE STORE is selling furniture that is between 500% - 1200% markup. Yes. You read that right. That $1200 table you're buying mostly likely cost them $200 or less. I have no problem with a company making a profit - but when you're making a killing AND KILLING ME with your inability to properly deliver a quality product all you're doing is pissing me off. First of all let me say, this was my first and last time I will step foot into this store. Ordered a sofa during the friends/family sale approx. 4 weeks ago. I waited 3 weeks for delivery, took a vacation day to do so and low and behold the wrong sofa was on the truck. I rejected the order. The delivery guys said I would get a call within 15-20 min from customer service to advise my next move. I waited 1 1/2 hours, no call. I called customer service explained the situation, the note of refusal was in the system, I was told he would contact the store/sales person and again, I would receive a call. Again, no one from the store called. I waited another 1 1/2 hrs and called the store. I was told my salesperson would not be available for 2 days, to which I replied I would be at the store in 1/2 hour. I did so, spoke with Dan the manager, he had another salesperson take care of me. I showed the sofa I was "supposed" to get. I was no longer "on sale" so I would have to pay a higher price for the sofa and also the protection plan and also wait yet another 3 weeks for delivery!!!!! At which time I CANCELED the whole order. In my opinion the customer service is horrible. Everyone makes mistakes, but the way in which this was handled was not in the best interest of the customer. If this was my mistake, which it was Ashley's, I would have done whatever possible to make my customer happy. I would have expedited delivery and gave a discount not increase the price!!!!! I am also still waiting for my credit card to be refunded!!!! I asked for expedited service as I was forced to go down the road to get a sofa from your competitor since I haven't had a sofa in 5 weeks!!!! The Sale - salesperson was a bit over the top but overall he was OK. The Order - our order was input into their system incorrectly and with may people at the order desk, we didn't notice the error. The Delivery - delivery was spot on as far as time and the men who brought everything in and set it up. Of course 4 of the chairs were refused as they were the incorrect ones. The Quality - the table had a dent in it and the server has multiple issues such as poor alignment of the doors where they meet, loose handles, incorrect placement of the internal door catches, etc. Overall - Ashley needs to address many unsatisfactory issues with their order department and quality. purchased on line as the sales person from Ashley, told me they had the recliner we wanted on the floor, but even with delivery charge cheaper on line. So we ordered and toke too long to get here. The chair is beautiful and we love the look, but it has a bad fault. When you open it to relax, it does not open easily and then you can't get it to shut, unless you actually kick it in. The furniture is absolutely beautiful, but does not last. I bought a couch and love seat and both barely lasted a year. We had people come and "fix" the furniture three times, and it made no difference. They left staples all over the carpet and did not clean up. Not impressed! My order was to be in within a month, no call or anything after 5 weeks I called. They told me it would be another week, but then I had to wait till a Saturday for delivery. That meant 2 more weeks, they called me the week of the delivery and asked if I could do it Thursday or Friday. I told them no; guess many people that buy furniture must not work for a living?!? So I said I wanted to keep Saturday, then no call with a time or anything. I called that Friday for a time at 4::45 and apparently they were already closed. Called on Saturday was told they forgot to put me on the route and now I will have to wait till next Saturday which is over 2 months since I bought the item. read more
