Update on the 2 yr warranty I purchased with my furniture. The first time i called the warranty department was a week from picking up my furniture, because the cushion on the ottoman kept falling off. They never helped. I called 2 weeks ago to make another report before I get rid of them and absolutely Nothing is covered. Apparently it only covers 10 days after delivery. Worse 1500 I spent on crap made furniture. Do not buy from here. Customer service is rude and not helpful. Only had them a year. read more

This place seemed great from the beginning....sad to say, we were ultimately disappointed and Laura especially was the root cause. We were moving to a new home and had family coming to visit right before Christmas. Laura assured us multiple times our furniture had arrived in the warehouse and was ready to be delivered on the day we had agreed on. My wife called the day of delivery to make sure all was in order and there was no record of our bedroom set arriving at all! Laura had been lying the entire time. My unfortunate journey with Ashley Furniture in Morehead City NC started on March 11, 2022 and hasn't ended yet. Between my daughter and I we spent over $5000 for furniture for our vacation spot. This was paid in FULL that day. We live 3-3:30 hours round trip away. When we purchased the furniture we were told that it would be 16 weeks maximum before it was all delivered. Things were looking promising as we received the couch and 3 mattresses in about 8-10 weeks. That's when the delightful experience ended. The sales rep was kind enough to get a loaner frame arranged for us for the Master bed so that at 67 years old I wasn't sleeping on a mattress on the floor. The delivery was June 18th. The delivery team brought the wrong frame (I had to argue with them about it), a scratched nightstand and then proceeded to break the ceiling fan. I contacted the sales rep and he said it was ordered correctly but the distribution center changed it. He said I could drive 30 minutes each way and pick up one from the store the next day and assemble it myself which is what I did after sleeping with the mattress on the floor that Saturday night. Was told I would hear from Ashley's Distribution Center about the broken ceiling fan. We had to regularly contact the sales rep to get updates on when the Master bed, dresser and additional nightstand would be in. Each call was the same answer... not sure because it's made of wood so that means it takes longer and there is a supply chain issue. In mid November I get a call that the furniture is finally in. This is way past the 16 week maximum delivery time we were told. I make arrangements to drive down on November 25th. About 10 minutes after I arrive I get a call that the delivery truck has broken down and delivery will have to be rescheduled. So that my daughter nor myself have to take time off of work I schedule the delivery for December 10th. The delivery team gets there and starts to set up the bed. Not all of the pieces to the bed were sent. They offered to bring the loaner frame back in but that would require them to take apart what they had already done. They brought the dresser and the second nightstand in. Spoke with Customer Care while the delivery team was there so that they could fully explain what was missing. I was told that the distribution center was closed for the day and she would get back with me the following week after researching where the missing legs were. I also found out there was no notation of the ceiling fan being broken. I was given an email address and sent those photos. Supposedly reimbursement for that is being handled currently. I was offered a $50 store gift card when I asked about compensation for my time and gas driving down yet again. I declined as I won't be shopping at Ashley Homestore again. I received a call from the distribution center on December 13th stating that they could deliver the legs on December 14th. That would mean taking off of work so that wasn't an option. On December 19th I get a call from Customer Care stating that the legs were in and that they would have a tech repair the scratches on the nightstand that was delivered in June. I again asked for compensation for my time and gas. Asked that I be refunded the price of the one nightstand. This time I was offered a $100 store gift card. Again, I refused stating I would not be shopping at Ashley Homestore ever again. I called and scheduled the delivery of the 3 missing legs for December 29th. Guess what....they sent the wrong ones.... yet another wasted trip. I contacted my sales rep and was told if this was a service issue I needed to contact Customer Care. I spoke with customer care on December 29th and the distribution center was closed for the day and they will research it. My next step is emailing the CEO and requesting a full refund. I don't normally write reviews, especially a negative one. But I'm sure I'm not the only one that this has happened to. I ordered a couch and bed frame 4/9/2021. I was told 6-12 weeks. I received the bed frame 6/29/2021, broken. I requested replacement parts 6/29/2021 and was told 7-14 days. I have not received them yet as of 8/21. I was told by customer service that replacement parts were expected mid-November at the earliest. Still no estimate on the couch. They will not give any kind of refund or help at all even though all we have received from the order of over $1000 is a broken bed. read more

If I could give this company, over all, negative stars I would. I purchased a couch from their store front in Morehead City, NC on July 25 and scheduled for the delivery Aug 6. When I received the couch the legs came separate and needed to be attached, screwed in to be exact, no big deal. I could not screw them in because there are no threads for the legs to attach to. This is a brand new, from the manufacturer couch. Ridiculous. I contacted their customer service and I expressed my disappointment and distress, when she told me that it would take 7-10 business days to receive the parts that I would either put on myself, or wait and schedule with someone to have the couch fixed by a professional. Why? Why would it take that long, when I paid a lot of money for this couch, that my husband and I can't even enjoy in our very first apartment together. I am not able to even sit on it because it will twist when weight is on it. It has a pull out bed and I am unable to extend it because it will hit the floor. I was willing to wait because I figured they would put their customers first. And having a brand new off the line couch not up to "company standards", and an upset customer, you would think they would make that priority number one. Wrong. I waited a week with no follow up calls and no parts showing up, so I called them. When I was able to speak to someone, they said the person who helped me originally was on another call and they would be contacting me after they were done with the other person. 2+ hrs later I received a phone call from the person who said they put the parts order in, the first time, and after I told her I wanted to cancel my account with Ashley Furniture, I do not want this couch in my apartment. she said that she would try to talk to her supervisor and call me back in the morning. She offered me $100 Ashley Furniture gift card, but I genuinely never want to do business with this company ever again. I received a phone call from her this morning and she told me that she was referring to a delivery done on the 11th of August, this couch was delivered the 6th of August AND referred to it as a headboard! I have spoke with her so many times and not once did I mention a headboard. She continued to say that the picture was blurry and she could only see a scratch, my couch is not scratched there are no threads to attach the legs. She even said that it would take until the end of the month for me to receive the parts, which I received no updated call in the time frame that I called to report this issue until I called back to check the status. Mind you that I would have to start payments the following month on a couch I have yet to sit in due to this issue. The delivery men have to take a photo for proof of delivery and that's it. At the time of that photo we didn't start putting the legs in. It was a drop and go delivery because it was free and I already spent a good bit of money on this couch. In conclusion, save yourself the hassle and shop somewhere else for a couch, I would not give business to this company in any area. read more

This place sucks. We spent over 1k here and got our furniture delivered 1.5 months late. We were promised it would be 2 weeks tops from James. I was pregnant with no furniture and all he texted was he would take delivery fees off. But when we got a call that they were at the warehouse, they said it wouldn't be delivered for the next 2 weeks when the warehouse was only 45min from us. My husband ended up driving out there to pick it up. Customer service was no help since we ordered at the store only they can help. But when I called no one answered. Best way to communicate was through text. The guy docked us 100 for the trouble. I'm skeptical if the 200 we paid for warranty will even work. We've had our furniture for 3months now and they seem cheaply made. The sofa bed squeaks when ppl sit on it. And our love seat and ottoman sink in when sitting on it. Never purchasing at ashley's for anything. My husband also left a review. He's military and from CA. I wish that I could give an overall good rating but I can't. Bobbi, the sales person at the store, was great. I don't feel lied to or that she exaggerated the truth or anything like that. My issue is with the way they handle problems that arise. I spent nearly $5,000 on a new couch and coffee table. The sofa's arrived after 8 weeks of waiting. Expected that. It arrived, setup and was working when they left. 2 hours later, one of the sofa's, IN THE RECLINED POSITION, no longer works. Ok, things happen. I called Customer Care and was told the part most likely needed to fix the problem would take 7 to 14 days to arrive, frustrating but ok. 14 days later - I am told it hasn't shipped. Should ship in a few days. A week later I am told it will be at least another 3 weeks. In the meantime, I have an open reclined couch that I can't use. They won't send out a technician to even trouble shoot the problem. It could be something completely different, but we won't know until the other part arrives and then I have to schedule a technician to come out. I DON"T GET IT!!!!! read more

I have been reading all of the reviews previously posted and I experienced many of the same problems, tactics, misrepresentations and delivery delays. This store will promise anything to make a sale, so beware, and be sure to get things in writing if you must shop here. My overall experience was far from positive, so I came away with a bit of regret. Initially, we were looking to completely furnish a home and another condo from the Ashley store in Morehead City. My wife and I have bought furniture and accessories from a variety of retailers and our experience at Ashley has been by far the best. James has always gone above and beyond to help us find just the right items for our home. He and the staff are always eager to answer questions, help with special orders, and above all are patient with us while we choose just the right pieces. I really wish i could give 0 stars. My husband and I made the unfortunate mistake of buying furniture from here. When we originally went in to look around we were told if we had to order, the furniture would be in in 4-5 business days. We went back to order our furniture and AFTER we had paid we were told it would be 5-6 WEEKS until we got it! We are currently using camping chairs in our living room for another month until we get it. If it wasn't for the 20% cancellation fee, we would cancel our order and get it from somewhere else! The only positive to this whole terrible situation is that they price matched. I would have rathered just gone to Atlantic Bedding and Furniture in Jacksonville and gotten the same price without a bunch of empty promises just to make a sale! read more

If I could give it NO STARS I would, but sadly, that is not an option. Lovely people at this store but regrettably, they are quite clueless. I placed my original order in July and to date (November 16th) I still don't have everything that should have been included. My salesperson, James, who was listed as the store manager forgot to include a box spring with the complete bedroom set and mattress we ordered. Additionally, the order was written up incorrectly and there were countless delivery mix-ups because of it that went on every single time another item needed to be delivered. You would think that if you provide the correct information once, it would be recorded. The information was never updated in the system though we were proactive before each delivery to go over the correct info with them. And it isn't just this store, the distribution center employees were even worse. They gave us misinformation, forgot to return calls, called the wrong numbers, sent the wrong items, forgot items that needed to be on the truck. The list goes on and one. I could write all day. To add insult to injury, though these stores are franchises, the WI corporate office doesn't care enough to log your complaints, they'll just tell you to call the distribution center (you know the one mentioned above that was worse than the store). My husband and I had just purchased a new home and it was finally time to pick out our new furniture! Well, we first went to another store and loved the selections we had made but didn't love the price, which Ashley beat by $1000! All of our pieces came in at the time our sales rep had told us. With the exception of a newer model piece that was back ordered which we had been made aware of, and that was fine by us. We love love love everything with the exception of our dining table we had problems with the look and quality. Ashley customer service is top notch. They gave us full credit back for the table toward purchase of a new one, even after having that table for months! We now love everything and couldn't be happier with our purchases. Took weeks for furniture to arrive after being lied to and Jerry saying it would only be a couple weeks. Horrible. Go somewhere else.

The sales person and store manager were great. The delivery people showed up on time and assembled everything expertly.

First off we purchased alot of items in the past and never had a issue but in Aug we purchased a Northshore complete entertainment center and was never told or given the option of choosing the size of the TV Stand piece since you have to purchase all pieces separate. So we went back in last month to buy the larger piece for the complete set. Not 1 but 2 salesmen that have worked there quit some time as I was told didn't have a clue they even carried the option. So after arguing with both I walked over to the book and showed him. At that time I was super disappointed. Went to the computer bought it. Said it was in stock since I wanted the one without the fireplace option. Set up delivery for a week and a half later since it was the first available. Yesterday rolls around. I wait all day for the truck and when they get here they say they cant put it with the pieces I purchesed 2 months ago. (We were told they could) then the driver goes to call his boss to ask and noticed that the item wasn't even on the truck. Yes he drove out to our house and didn't have our item. I called the store and the female that answers the phone said there was no manager there on Thursday and Fridays. I told her I want them to take everything off. The item delivery charge and protection charge. I explained we were misinformed in the first place and it was our second one we had to buy and it being a grand for just that piece that with all the crap we went through just remove it. She was very rude and said she couldn't and we had to call back tomorrow after the driver got back with the truck. Not happy at all with the customer service of the store. My bed, that I have waited on for 3 weeks to be delivered was supposed to be at my house between 4:45 and 6:45...... the deliveries in my neighborhood are few and far between so I called at 1:15 to make sure that everything was scheduled and verify my delivery time. Being that there was a two hour window from 4:45 to 6:45, I didn't bother to mention that the gate to my community was automatic until 7....... Apparently, the driver showed up at 6:38, saw the gate and made zero attempts to come through, and not one phone call given! Looks like I'll be sleeping on the blow up mattress for at least another week or so! I am extremely disappointed....... I bought a lift up recliner for my husband who had back surgery and James Anderson helped us with the sale. He was very helpful in showing us the different chairs and explaining the difference to us. When we finally chose one he help us with getting it to our home. It was raining outside and he covered the chair for us and helped us load it onto our truck. I haven't yet received my furniture. I ordered it on feb 1st and its only feb 10th. The saleswomen I was dealing with (Bobbi) is the only one that had any clue about anything. I went back to the store to change my order (it was on layaway before ordering it) and not even the manage knew how to change the order. I had to wait for a day Bobbi was working to go there and fix it. If you decide to shop here, work with Bobbi. She was very kind and helpful. Finally after in September they said it was in and went down there with a trailer to pick my furniture up my self i get there and it was not there, but in Greenville at there warehouse. So the manager said we will call you Monday ,this was Sat to schedule a time to deliver it to you. I got a phone call Monday they said they would deliver it Saturday, but would call me Friday to confirm and to give me an exact time. Friday no phone call..... Saturday morning i called them they said they would be here between 5-8 pm. NO phone call NO ONE CAME until 9 pm. I am a single mom with 2 small children two strange men showed up at my house on a Uhaul Truck Banging on my Door a 9 pm ready to unload furniture.
