Don't recommend this place. The employees met with me and offered me a good deal on a mattress with the holiday sale and an additional discount and percentage off the mattress protection. They said my husband could come by and get the mattress and cover for what they offered me. Then my husband goes in there and speaks to them and they COMPLETELY ripped him off, making him pay more when I wasn't there. I then called them several times and they never called me back! And later when my husband went there because I was upset with the whole situation, they said they cant take back mattresses. It was very dishonest for them to do that to him when the women said she would honor it and then the man did not. read more

Chris has to be the worst salesperson I've ever met. Him aside, the first piece of furniture delivered to my house was defective and I sent it back. Why wasn't it inspected at the warehouse, considering it wasn't even wrapped in the original packaging?? A month later, and the replacement furniture is defective. Still haven't gotten my couch. Ordered a couch on display. Wanted to change the configuration. Said they could. 3 months went by, called them to see what the delay was. Told me they had some loveseat instead of the sofa I ordered on the receipt and they would call back. Let me start off by saying... just don't buy from this store... don't do it, save yourself time and money in the end... and I will explain why... Now, it's been a little over 3 years since I bought $5,800 worth of furniture in their store in cash... and man did I think that I had gotten a fantastic deal! Mind you... I called about this prior to 3 years of ownership.. Part of my purchase included a CatNapper reclining sofa, and a catnapper reclining couch... now the manager at the time told me that these things were made to last.. the fabric (which is faux leather) was thicker and made to not flake and peel, and should I ever have any problems that the store or insurance I purchased would cover it.. (jokes on me, it doesnt) Apparently Catnapper discontinued the material that was used with these couches.. and after digging down into the actual CatNapper brand I found out why.... because it was a load of crock, and most reviews i was reading all said that this is happening to them... Because catnapper discontinued the material, the manufacturer refused to make it right... and then the store, (which is under new management) has refused to make it right... saying "that I could get back the initial investment into the insurance, but that was it" .... so... 200 bucks... yeah that will replace my furniture..... I have no children and no pets... there is absolutely no reason why my couches should be flaking and peeling the way they are, and instead of the manufacturer standing by their product, or the store making it right and taking care of the issue, they have refused to make any gesture towards remedying the faulty furniture... I've been going back and forth with them for months now, only to get silence from the store on their end over the past few weeks. Please save yourself the time and trouble... that good deal you think your getting is only going to cost you more money in the end...because if something does happen to the furniture you purchase from this store, you won't be getting it fixed, replaced, or compensated for it from them. read more

This has been a complete nightmare! We ordered a bedroom set it took 30 days after we paid to find out they no longer sell that style. It then took 14 days to get our money back so we ordered a new one. After the 14 day waiting period for the order I had to call multiple times to get info on where our bedroom set was. We finally get it home and half of the set is destroyed from transport I am now 18 days in on waiting for my replacements. After receiving my replacements those were also damaged and needed to be sent back! the sales team was AWFUL very impatient and almost aggressive. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Bottom line: I do not trust this company or its employees at its on-base and off-base locations. I first purchased from this company in 2015 and had no issues because the employee did not mess up my financing paperwork. 24 month, no interest on about $4,000, give or take, worth of furniture. Furniture's nice and has held up to reasonable standards. However, I purchased from this company again in 2018 and purchased about $2,600 worth of furniture. Again, I wanted the 24 month, no interest financing and thought the employee, SB, set it up correctly especially since he told me he did. My paperwork that I still have says Furniture First Program as the Finance Program, and SB assured me it was the 24 month, no interest financing plan. Fast forward a year, and I check the online balance to make sure I'm still within the 24 month period because I knew I would have to pay more at the end since paying minimum due would not suffice by the end of the term. I was paying 28% interest the entire time. Contacted the company and the lady in charge of financing expressed sympathy and found it odd that I would voluntarily choose a 28% interest plan when the 24 month, no interest financing plan was available. She said she would contact leadership and see what she could do. First answer the VP of the company sent back down: That employee no longer works for them implying it's his fault, not the company's and thus, the company shouldn't be held liable. That was relayed to me without even an answer of whether or not they would make it right. Second answer the VP of the company sent back down: $800 interest? Tough luck, you're on your own. It also took forever to get that final answer, and I had to repeatedly initiate contact. The leadership of this company only wants your money, and they don't care if their employees screw up your purchase. Highly do not recommend spending your time or money here. They shouldn't even be allowed to offer 28% financing on-base. read more

My husband and I had an excellent experience at the store on camp lejeune with the most awesome sales associate Chrissy! She went above and beyond to help our family who was looking to furinish their entire home. We not only got exactly what we needed for our home but we got over the top amazing sales and an experience that made us feel very secure in our choices of investment with this company. I purchased a kitchen table, six chairs, and an entertainment center here in August of 2016. I was assured they were wood; I wasn't out to spend $800 on a table and chairs and $500 on a simple entertainment center made of MDF. I could get the same things on Amazon for less than half the price if I wanted MDF or chip board. Since then, two moves have scratched and chipped away at the finishes on both the table and the entertainment center but I thought eh, no biggie, I can just refinish them. It's wood, after all. Turns out, neither piece is solid wood as I was originally told. I'm furious to have been made a fool of and that this place employs people who are either willing to lie to make a sale or are just clueless about the product. Spend your money somewhere else or you'll find out two years later that you got taken for a ride. read more

My wife and I shopped all over trying to find furniture we liked for the price we could agree on. We looked in Morehead, New Bern, and Havelock and finally stopped at Furniture Distributors where everything came together. We were assisted by Jaclyn who was great, she was highly energetic about her job and we could tell she was interested in finding us the right furniture for our needs at the best price possible, she was not in it for the sale. Case in point is we were furniture shopping for our new house and also furniture for our nursey, so we were looking at a bedroom set and trying to decide between two sets we found. Jaclyn went over the pros and cons with both of them with us, and helped us chose the set that cost a few hundred dollars less, because it was the better fit for us. It really impressed my wife and I that she was more interested in insuring our happiness with the purchase than with moving items off the floor. After we have chosen our furniture that we were interested in, Jaclyn also helped us negotiate the price down with the manager to get the best deal possible due to having so many things on the order. After all of the numbers were set she then handed us over to another nice lady that works there named Dee. I've had the pleasure of working with Dee in resolving an issue with the first furniture we ordered through them, which was this purchase, and we also went back and purchased a chair from them too, and she has always been great. She is such a pleasure to talk with and deal with on the phone, and I also feel she has our satisfaction as priority. Delivery of the furniture went well, the two men that delivered and assembled the furniture were very professional and treated our home with care, so we appreciate that as well. We did have two issues with the furniture however, which as mentioned above were handled very well. A night stand we ordered had been dinged up in the process of making it to our house and they are replacing it, and also a new dining room table we ordered the internal leaf did not open. After a brief call with Dee and a few pictures from the cell phone we had a repair man scheduled to come out that day. The repairman that came out to fix the leaf was also very professional, if I remember correctly his name was Kevin. All in all our experience in shopping at Furniture Distributors was excellent, the customer service was above and beyond anything expected and the prices are more than fair. Quality of the product sold is also top notch and we are so happy with our purchases and with Jaclyn and Dee helping us turn our house into a home. read more

No urgency for their client. Issues since day one. Customer service representative Dee is responsible for being unresponsive and dropping the ball on numerous occasions and I've asked for store manager to contact me on several occasions, no response, no call. read more

My husband and I purchased our living room set 3 years ago from the store on Cherry Point. We paid for the insurance for 5 years, just in case we ran into any issues with the purchase. We were worried about the leather ripping or something like that. The couch and love seat are now 3 years old and look almost new but have had to be replaced almost yearly because the frames are so poorly made. We are now in the market for a new couch, just to be done dealing with the inspector coming out and the drawn out process of having to get a "new couch" every year. Don't waste your money and time on poorly made, expensive furniture. read more

My husband is an Active Duty Marine who was referred to Furniture Distributors by other local military members. In the summer of 2015, after returning from an overseas deployment, he spent over $5,800 in this store. The Store Manager at the time, Roger Homer, assisted my husband with his purchase which included an entire master bedroom set plus a reclining "catnapper" sofa and love seat. Roger ensured my husband that "catnapper" sofas last "forever" and promised that if he were ever to have any issues with the couch, he could contact the store for immediate assistance. Well...we have barely owned this couch for three years, have no pets or children who might rough house on it - and the top layer of the couch is literally peeling and flaking off. It looks horrible! Two months ago, my husband contacted the store and explained the situation at which time he was informed that the previous Store Manager no longer worked there. However, the store employee seemed genuinely surprised and confirmed that "catnapper" couches are NOT supposed to peel or flake. She contacted her current Store Manager who stated that there was nothing they could do besides offer my husband a $200 refund on the "Protection First" plan that he had paid for with his purchase in 2015. Allegedly, they also contacted their District Manager. But after two months of waiting around for a solid answer, the employee confirmed that the District Manager is also unwilling to assist - and that the actual couch manufacturer is unable to do anything since this couch is "discontinued" and "no longer in production". Seriously?! Thanks for offering a $200 refund, but what kind of replacement couch are we supposed to buy with $200?! We never would have spent close to $6k at this store if we would have known how they treat their customers. There are many other furniture companies in this area which value customer satisfaction and who would be willing to honor the word of their previous Store Manager. For a store that claims to "pride itself in serving its surrounding community and military community with top notch service", they have not followed through on that commitment. Another Yelp reviewer said it best: "Spend your money somewhere else or you'll find out two years later that you got taken for a ride." We will now be searching for a new couch ...definitely not from Furniture Distributors. read more

He was willing to drop the price on two items i wanted only after i told him that it was fine and that another store was going to give them to us for less. Absolutely do not buy anything from Furniture Distributors. I paid for couches on December 28, 2018 under the premise that they were in stock and would be delivered January 1 at 10am. Not only were they not in stock, but I was never scheduled for delivery. I felt at first that they were trying to make things right when they offered me a loaner couch and a $250 refund while they got things straightened out, but every promise has been broken since. It has been two full weeks since I paid for this furniture and they still cannot tell me if and when they will be in stock. Every request for a refund has been denied, despite a verbal commitment that they would do so if my furniture was not on their shipment today. When I asked again for a refund, I was denied because I am in possession of one loaner couch which is nowhere near the value of my purchase price. We did everything we were supposed to do, which included removing our own furniture before delivery, which leaves us with no couches until I can find a furniture store capable of delivering. While the general manager was apologetic, he could not deliver and refused to refund my money, stating that he could not be sure he would get his loaner couch back if he gave me my money first. Ultimately, he offered to refund 50% upfront, but I still find this unacceptable as I am not purchasing this loaner couch, nor am I keeping it. I have now filed a dispute with my credit card company and am prepared to take them to small claims court if they dispute this refund. I do not have my money and I do not have my couches. This has been an absolutely terrible experience, including making my father sit on plastic lawn furniture over the holidays while I got one empty promise after the next. read more

I recommend you go elsewhere unless you want damaged furniture that they will not replace or refund you. We brought the issues up to them right away and sent photos to them and the manufacturer of the leather sofa sectional. The sales mgr just argued with us and the owner never ever contacted us at all. Read the BBB website (even though companies are not members you can file complaints with BBB) and they have unresolved complaints even though they are not members of BBB. I wish I had checked BBB first to see if they had complaints. Bad enough when a company has complaints but they had unresolved complaints which is worse. We ordered a leather sofa sectional that was damaged and instead of offering to replace the sectional they sent us two leather seat covers in a very small (tiny) box folded and wrinkled. The sales mgr called us arguing that the wrinkles would come out and we had to keep them and they wanted the damaged seat covers. We told him no that was unacceptable. The sofa itself had a puncture to one seat cover and a couple what looks like scratches and it happens to be the largest cushion so it is obvious when you look at it. In the first place the leather is not good leather with stretch marks and other leather marks all over it and it came to us with wrinkles on the back corner section of the sectional with deep wrinkles that are to this day still there (they never come out). We will not ever shop at Furniture Distributors again and wish this over $3000.00 leather (back is vinyl) sofa sectional was never purchased at Furniture Distributors in Havelock. Also, they insisted we get the warranty which was $299 which now looking back was bogus. We refused the warranty but their sales mgr insisted we get it and said you will get warranty money back in five years if unused. So far we have not damaged and if not in five years and not used warranty we best get our warranty refunded (it is written on our receipt). Also, they claimed there is a factory warranty on the foam but we haven't had the sofa that long yet to find out if that is legitimate. I will keep y'all posted. read more
