Sales person was great, furniture is fine. I would suggest avoiding the warranty. We bought the warranty for couch set. We tried to use the cleaning service for a dog stain. After emailing copies of the receipt and contract, we were told they needed it scanned. We finally gave up and just cleaned ourselves. Warranty was definitely a waste of money. read more

Was supposed to be delivered today, got the text yesterday confirming. Called to get a time window today only to learn that they did not ship it and it won't be delivered. No other reason given. Stay FAR FAR away from Ashley home furniture. They aren't excepting returns or exchanges for any reason during to "COVID-19". We bought a dining room table from them and were originally going to move into a larger apartment, but something came up and we ended up moving into a smaller apartment. So now the table is to big. We never opened the table or anything, everything is still as it came. We first called Ashley customer support, they said to ask the store and they can approve it if they choose to approve it. We asked the manager "Mandeep" and he said he would accept the exchange, so we pick something out and they created a case and gave us a number. They told us it would take about 1 - 2 weeks and they would call us. They never did. We went back to the store and they started playing the COVID-19 card, told us no they can't for any reason. The manager allowed the front desk people to tell us instead of himself. We had to ask for him even though he was right behind them just standing there listening. These people are flip floppy and they lie. So many people handle the UNOPENED BOXED UP MERCHANDISE before we get it and because it was delivered to us all of a sudden it's untouchable. My husband and I went and bought a sectional couch we saw on line last week. They told us it would take a week to be delivered. Which was fine. Yesterday 12-11-18 they were suppose to deliever our sectional between 3 and 7 PM they did not arrive at my house until 8:30. When they unloaded our sectional they didnt have all the pieces. We called the store and was told they would have an answer for us today 12-12-18 and they would make us a priority and get it delivered to us ASAP not only have we still not got it but we were not called or informed unless was the one calling. I have talked to corporate as well as customer care and nothing has been resolved or have I even received a call from anyone even though k was told I would. I'd give 0 stars if I could. There's no wonder why Ashley HomeStore has such poor reviews. Here I am yet AGAIN with a frustrating experience. My first purchase was a disaster with trying to purchase a mattress and adjustable base. (Delays, wrong items delivered, broken items delivered, incomplete parts delivered, techs broke items when delivered, etc.) So this time I just ordered a mattress online, thought it would be a simple straight forward process. It gave me a delivery date when I was submitting my order. The delivery date passed and no mattress received. I called to find out, they told me they don't know and that there's no delivery over the weekend when their website had given me that Saturday delivery date. Then they said they would call to check on the delivery on Monday and call me back. No one called so I called again, now they are saying they will not call to find out about my tracking until next Friday (week later). So I've been given conflicting info from their customer support as well now. And here I am now, with no answers and no mattress and no idea what's going on. This company is a joke! If you go to Ashleys furniture to buy anything, I do NOT recommend you buy the GBS insurance. We have had multiple items that they do not want to cover. WE PURCHASED OVER $6,000 in furniture plus the 5 year extended insurance on all of the items. We purchased the insurance in 2018 so only 2+ years & the furniture has turned out to be cheap made furniture that is falling apart. Honestly if you can afford to buy somewhere else you should, the staff member that helped us purchase the items even sent us a text to see how we were doing & to let us know they had sales coming up. We texted him back to let him know that GBS insurance was being difficult & he never responded. Just avoid them in general. read more

BUYER BEWARE: I am very disappointed in Ashley Furniture's Company policy. Apparently there is a NO RETURN POLICY, they say that they review this with you, when you are purchasing your item. So, when you are excited and happy about your purchase, you are supposed to hear that if you want to return the item...you will only be able to, if it has a manufacturer defect. We waited several months to get our couches, we were ok with this, however, we received our couches on a Friday afternoon, my husband was home to receive the delivery. When I arrived home from work, I sat on the couches and said, WOW... THESE ARE SOOO UNCOMFORTABLE. These couches were very hard, we tried sitting on them that night and found that we both had back aches. Our adult daughter also sat on the couch that night and found it to be extremely uncomfortable. I promptly called the next morning to notify Ashley Furniture that I was very dissatisfied and that these couches felt NOTHING like the couches in the store. I was not able to get through to anyone, so went on line to the on line assistance. I spoke with someone on line. She said that I could return my couches and told me I would be contacted by someone within the next 48 hours. I waited for a week, never heard from anyone, so I tried calling. I spoke with another woman and she said, the previous woman was incorrect in saying we could return our couches unless they were notified within 72 hours. I told her I called within 24 hours. I explained my situation and she said she would put in a request for a return with an in store credit. She assured me that she would get back to me. Another week went by... no word. My husband and I decided to drive an hour to the Ashley Furniture store where I explained our situation to the Sales Manager (he was the only manager available). He said he would be a happy to try to help. He said he wasn't able to promise anything, but that he would go to bat for us and he would DEFINATELY get back to us. Needless to say, I only heard from him when I reached out a week later, since I hadn't heard from him. He said he was still working on it. I NEVER HEARD BACK..... I came in with my daughter a few days ago looking for a new living room set and was right away greeted by Sergio, he was a sweet soft spoken guy and very knowledgeable. He showed me quite a few sets of furniture, letting me and my daughter sit on any set we thought we might like, he never once seemed impatient or in a hurry to move on to the next customer. The store is super clean, very well lit with a lot of gorgeous furniture, it really was hard to find the exact piece I wanted. I also met the store manager who also welcomed me and thanked me for stopping in the store. We ordered a bed set and they delivered it at least 1 month late, even though we paid for fast delivery. We had to call back at least 2 times each day to know where our furniture is, and in return we would be put on hold for 30 minutes. And when the furniture finally came it had scratches and dents, thus making us wait another month to get repairs done on it, and it still hasn't been fixed. If you actually expect to receive your order.... DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I've had an awful experience with the Modesto Ashley Furniture store I ordered a couch on 12/30/18 and was told delivery would be on 1/18/19 (which I paid $69.99 for). I received the text confirmation with a window for delivery for that day and confirmed and everything appeared to be going in the right direction. The Lathrop warehouse called me in the morning to inform me that the store got the delivery wrong.... that the couch wasn't delivering to the warehouse until 1/18/19 and they couldn't deliver it on the same day it was supposed to arrive to the warehouse. They told me that I would be contacted once it was scanned and rescheduled for delivery. I specifically asked if it would be within a day or two, or if would be another week or two. I was told it would be a day or two. On 1/20/19 I was contact to schedule delivery and they wanted to deliver it on 1/23/19 which didn't work because we were out of town. I asked if they could deliver it on the 21st or 22nd but was told they were booked. So I reluctantly rescheduled it for 1/25/19. I received my text confirmation on 1/23/19 with a delivery window of 3 - 7 pm on 1/25/19. I replied yes to confirm. On 1/24/19 I received a text stating my delivery time frame has been updated and is now between 12:30 - 4:30pm. The morning of 1/25/19, they called me to tell me that the couch cannot be delivered today because they didn't receive it yesterday like they were supposed to. All of this goes to show that THEY HAVE BEEN LYING the entire time. If in fact the couch was supposed to deliver to the warehouse on 1/18 and they scheduled it on 1/20 (after they had scanned it into the warehouse) and were trying to deliver it on 1/23... how on earth is the couch not there and ready to deliver on 1/25? And why would they say that it was supposed to deliver on 1/24 but they didn't get it. This is the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Set realistic expectations and maintain them. As soon as the store opens I'll be cancelling my order and I will NOT be ordering from them again. read more

I feel like what this store did was unacceptable, but I'm happy with how the issue was resolved I really do appreciate the time they took to reach out to me. Myself and 4 other customers I observed complained about people standing around and not being acknowledged. My wife mentioned she rea wanted to buy a bed they had on display and this meatball manager didn't even care to ask if we needed help. We were ignored by a total of 6 workers. I brought it to manager Davidangelo and he did not seem concerned that most of his team including himself needed to do a better job of acknowledging customers. The dinning chairs are way over priced. The bed sets seem fairly priced however I didn't purchase anything due to bad customer service. I believe that he told us what he believed was true. He told us that Ashley does not offer haul away service. I began to say thank you very much for your time, but we need a store that offers haul away service. Then they told us that they would be happy to set up haul away service through their private contractor for $225. We said that would be fine. They told us the furniture would be delivered and hauled away on the 17th of the month. The day came and no one showed up. My husband called them. They said there had been a mix up and it would be the 24th instead. Fine. The 24th came and someone delivered the furniture, but would not haul away. My husband called the private contractor who agreed to haul it away for $75. Thank you Ashley. You saved us $150 after a whole lot of hassle! read more

Great in store Customer Service. Then the delivery service took a face dive. My delivery was scheduled for 1-4pm Friday afternoon i received 7 automated calls changing my time to 3-7pm. I changed all my plans to accommodate the new time. We cleared out the room for all the new items. It was 7pm and no delivery i checked my tracker to see how far out they were it showed stop 12 of 13. I said we will go to dinner after they get here. 8:15pm no furniture. I check the status again and it states they are at stop 16. I call customer service and the driver no one has answers. I continue to call the driver 25 times by this time it is 9:30pm 2.5 hours past my scheduled delivery. I do not Get a call back from the driver and dispatch is now closed. I call Ashley as soon as they open i have been placed on hold for 1 hour then again 45 mins then 1 hour and now going on 45 mins still on hold. I have spent over 3 hours on the phone trying to get answers. They gladly took my money with no problems. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE!!!!!!! The only reason I give this place 2 stars is because the salesman Nick was super helpful and I was able to finance the $1600 dining set for half off with zero % interest. Dealing with delivery was awful. The men came, installed my dining set, made a mess of my dining room and didn't clean up. Then, I did a walk around of the entire set and noticed one of my upholstered chairs was wobbly. One leg appeared shorter than the other 3. I asked the men what they were planning on doing about it. And one of them (dead serious said) "hit the corner of the chair with a mallet." ARE YOU KIDDING ME? So, I set up an appointment to have a technician to come out and look at it 4 days after everything was delivered. I work nights, so had a friend over during the two hour allotted time from. Upon waking, later that afternoon, I had a missed call that the technician was "at my house" and nobody was answering the door. My friend that was over said "nobody was here, nobody knocked, rang the doorbell etc." I called the technician back and asked what address he went to. HE WENT TO MY BILLING ADDRESS. Which is my father's house. Who obviously wasn't home mid day. I WAS FUMING. Why didn't the technicians go to the shipping address? Calling customer support to complain and demand they come sooner was a joke. Finally rescheduled a technician to come out and upon her 4 minutes of looking at the chair she said "you'll have a new leg in 7-10 business days all you have to do is screw it on." WHY DIDNT THIS HAPPEN WHEN THE MEN DROPPED THE TABLE OFF?! The quality of my table is probably the only good thing about dealing with Ashley. I really would recommend going elsewhere. read more

Waited over 2 months for furniture then to have delivery made and shipped two of the same pieces but no main piece (couch). When I attempted to call customer service was on eternal hold. I went into the store and they said they could not do anything but that I would just have to wait three more weeks until the couch to the sectional arrived. I then cancelled the order and was told I should get a call within two days for the pick up. Five days later still no call regarding pick up of the items that were delivered. I even called everyday asking when it would happen. I had to go back into store to try and resolve and be a little more assertive to requesting for the pick up. Me and my boyfriend have never been to Ashley's nor have shopped there before but we recently just moved into our new spot and our old couches were no good. The idea of having to choose new furniture gave me a headache haha. Joe Mota was phenomenal! I highly recommend you seek him out there at Ashley's. He took the extra time to show us ALLLL options and made it so fun and easy. Not only was he super attentive, but he also helped us get the best deals and really put effort into helping us select the furniture pieces we wanted. It's rare to find excellent, friendly and skilled sales professionals but he went above and beyond for us even right before the store closed. He was very kind, friendly and genuine. We are definitely not seeing anyone else and we will go back to see him again for more pieces for our home. We ended up purchasing a beautiful sectional and coffee table with end pieces. What made him so excellent was him taking the time to compare pricing and made sure we got the best deal. He is awesome !!!! 5 stars allllll around with our experience with him specifically and this establishment. So if you're like me and hate coming up with options, Joe Mota is your guy!
