Bought a living room set and whole bedroom set 5years ago at the end of FIVE years I'm supposed to get $500 back from not replacing anything under warranty. Well apparently there is a 90 day time period after the 5 years that we were not told about. Definitely no mail, emails, or phone calls. Then we come in and find that out. Then got gaslighted when they said "hey, you know what can, still honor the warranty but you will have to buy something for 1k and we will take 500 off." Like what?! My husband and I are possibly in the market for a new bed, as I've been wanting to upgrade to a king for a while now. We usually get our furniture form Rooms To Go, but wanted to check out Ashley Furniture since a friend had recently got a super cute bedroom suit from them. Immediately upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly lady who offered to help, and then let us have our space while looking around. She didn't hover like so many salespeople usually do. She occasionally checked in with us to see if we had any questions about anything, and quickly answered them when we did have some. She helped us with mattress styles and the varying leveled of firmnesses, and never once pressured us to purchase anything. The showroom was spacious, plenty of room to walk around without bumping into things. My husband and I were kid-free for this particular trip, but for those with kids in tow, there was plenty of room to navigate a stroller through the different furniture mock room setups. Our first experience with Ashley ended when our saleswoman abandoned us to help an elderly couple she thought had more money. We went back and ordered a living room suit and bedroom suit from another salesman. First delivery we received a DAMAGED couch, dresser and night stand. Second delivery was supposed to be between 10:30am and 1:30pm. The driver called at 8AM and said he is 5 minutes away! Third delivery we again were notified only 5 minutes prior. We were not home. The driver told me that if we weren't home 15 minutes after they got there, they would have to leave and we will be charged for the delivery. I told him that we were supposed to be notified 30 minutes prior to arrival (which is what we were told while making purchase). When the drivers arrived they were EXTREMELY RUDE. They assembled our table wrong, left our coffee table in the box and damaged the corner of our table. Fourth and Final delivery was today. Let me start on what could be a book. It has now almost been half a year since I ordered my furniture that is basically almost paid off now which i STILL haven't even received. Every time I call they tell me I can order something else if I'd like, I got two pieces from the 7 so when I heard they were coming I sold my current stuff. BIG MISTAKE ON MY PART holy cow I have to sleep on the floor and keep my clothes on the ground every day. Never ever go to the Ashley not only are the sales people HORRIBLE but will not help you at all and good luck getting your furniture this year. All the rest is over priced, low quality furniture that is delivered haphazardly assembled by Ashley warehouse workers and receives damage by the delivery drivers both to the furniture and to my house as they force couches through the door. I called on Monday Labor Day and the salesperson answering the phone said the sale would be on all month, so no need to rush over to the store. I went to the store 3 days later and was advised the price had increased. When I asked for the sales manager she never apologized for the misinformation, basically called me a liar telling me her staff knew better than to say such things.Also, I was unable to see the sectional, it has to be ordered online sight unseen to get the item. From the time I went to research the exact furniture I wanted from when it was delivered to my home, I have had nothing but excellent service. When I first went to look for two bedroom suites for my twins, I really didn't know what I was looking for. However, my sales representative was very patient with me and put me in the right direction. She gave me a sheet with the items that I selected so that when I came back all I had to do was pay. When I returned a little over a week later, she was not in that day, however, her coworkers were more than courteous with helping me get everything I needed and ordered in a timely manner. Then, I just got my items delivered and set up this past Saturday and the delivery men were extremely kind and helpful. They made sure that the furniture was where I wanted and even gave me advice to help me make more space in the room so it wasn't as cramped. I am overall extremely happy about my entire experience and would recommend them again to anyone. read more

We needed furniture that was in stock and that could be delivered to our home within a week. Chasidy did a wonderful job walking me thru the store and helping me select beautiful furniture that was in stock at the warehouse. AVOID THIS STORE. I purchased a coffee table from the McGowan Park location, and it was delivered damaged. No one at the store can say whether it was damaged during delivery or if the damage was pre-existing and not disclosed to me, but the manager still refused to give me a refund. I was informed during a phone call that even if you buy an item in pristine condition on clearance and it is damaged during delivery you are not eligible for any kind of refund, which is a terrible policy. After a week of my poor saleswoman trying to help get the situation resolved, the best they would offer was an exchange for equal value, but I would have to pay another delivery fee. I declined, and I am going to consider this to be a $550 lesson learned. Do not shop here. Save yourself the heartache. read more

My husband received a text stating that our furniture that we purchased on 08/18/18 would be delivered on today, 09/08/18 between the hours of 11am and 2:30pm. We did not receive our furniture till almost 4:00pm. We did not receive a call or text stated that the delivery was running late. I called the store and my husband and we both got the most nonchalant people ever. One person asked if we wanted to reschedule and then a sales floor manager offered us $50 gift card that would take approximately 10 days to get. Once the delivery guys got there after waiting for almost six hours, our dining room table was damaged. My husband called the store back and spoke to the manager who was nonchalant as well and he asked him why don't we keep the damaged furniture? WTH???!!! He told my husband that he could not do anything until Monday. My husband told the delivery guys to take the chairs back with them as well because we did not want chairs without the table. We are having a big family gathering at our house this coming weekend and will have no place to eat our family dinner. Sad! We spent all day either waiting on furniture or on the phone with the unprofessional employees at Ashley Furniture Homestore in Mobile, AL. I am livid, frustrated, pissed, mad and aggravated about the lack of care and bad customer service that we received. We spent 3k at this store to get treated and talked to like we are nothing. Purchased a powerbed that cost over $1,000.00, when delivered it was damaged and after the damage was pointed out deliverymen wanted to still leave it wait until replacement arrived. To compensate for my troubles, I received a refund of the delivery charge. I will never do business with Ashley Home Furniture again. Ordered a loveseat recliner w/center console. Asked about the one on the floor and was told they only sell the floor models if the item has been discontinued. So placed the order, paid in full in advance (as they required) and waited several weeks for the delivery. Got a call just ahead of the delivery date saying it had been delayed and they gave me a new delivery date, a few more weeks out. Then, 3 days later I got a call from the store saying "Sorry, the item has been discontinued and is not available". I said ok, I would like to buy the floor item. Ashley's response? "Sorry, it has already been sold". VERY POOR WAY TO DO BUSINESS. As of this writing I have not received my refund. read more

Not willing to work with customers. We returned an item less than 12 hours after delivery amd they charged us a 25% restocking fee. $80 for a coffee table to be "restocked". We have spent more than $10,000 with Ashley in the past four years and i'm very dissatisfied with the attitude of this business. After am hour or so of going back and forth they decide that the only resolution is to give us a store credit. I don't want to buy another damn thing from this place. You would think that a national company like Ashley would have better policies. Too bad Wal-Mart doesn't sell furniture on a large scale. At least they care about the customer. Worst customer service I have ever received! My husband and I purchased over 2k worth of furniture and decor back in EARLY JUNE. Our delivery date has been switched 3 times already. We've changed work schedules, plans,etc. to make sure to be home for the delivery, just for it to be changed in little to NO notice. We had gotten rid of our old furniture expecting to have received our new items we purchased. Super frustrating to be without and to deal with a company who doesn't stand behind their mistakes! I do not recommend Ashley Furniture as they make their furniture of poor quality. You do not get your money's worth out of the furniture. I've had 2 sofa's from there and they both were made cheap. In the store they looked nice and of good quality but not long after they were delivered problems start appearing. Like......stuffing coming out in the bottom, seats became hard and have sharp pieces sticking through the material. They made the 1st sofa good and replaced it, including the coffee table that I had purchased to match it, with a sofa of my choosing. For the 2nd couch they did come to my home and fix it but not long afterwards it was like it had not been fixed. read more

Hi all, this is just a caution to all the customers planning to shop at ashley stores mobile al- make sure , ask about everything in detail and then make a sale deal. I had a horrible time dealing with delivery of my furniture , it took almost 2 weeks to get it delivered to my home which was just few couple miles apart. The worst part they screwed up the delivery date , i bought the furniture on monday - labour day and then told them that as i was working the weekdays i would not be at home and so would prefer it delivered by saturday , they accepted and then when i called them on saturday they said its the next saturday - damn - great i said fine , but just be sure u make sure of the dates and details else u may be in trouble. The second thing is about the protection plan , i asked the sales man about the things covered and he said everythingis covered till 5 year for an extra bugs of $100 fof 1000 $ purchase item , and as he was busy he just told me that , then i come home and read the things covered and incovered - the list of uncovered is atleast 5 times bigger than the things covered which are pretty unlikely to happen - moral just go through all the fine print before u make a deal , yes this makes the sales man grumpy but we need to take care of our interestes too... i hav not received my furniture yet sa would be wrong to comment anything about them. read more
