Ordered furniture 13 weeks ago and was told 5-6 weeks at the time of purchase. When you "Try" to call customer service to check on the order you're given the message that they are extremely busy and you are only able to hold for 15 minutes before being directed to VM which then instructs you that they will call back in 48 hours..........I have done that twice now in the past 7 days and have not received a return call. Had the pleasure of getting a wonderful gal named Erin on the phone who took the time to listen and take down a LOT of information and then provided helpful information that we would need as well. Patient and although called with many questions and lots of info to go over, she did not seem bothered at all. Thank you! I am sure it helped that I informed her initially that it would take a while as I had a lot of info to go over and asked if it was a good time for her to help me .. being a good customer is as important as being a good customer service rep, people! Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a retail store. We purchased two recliners which were delivered a few days later (for a fee). A few days after we started using them, both arms on one of the chairs started flattening. We called and were referred to customer service who advised us we would receive a package containing stuffing and we should call them back once we received it. We did so, and an appointment was scheduled about a week and a half later. By about noon on the scheduled day, we called customer service again to see if they could give us a narrower time of arrival. We were told that the company who did Ashley's customer service no longer did it! We called the store once again and were told, yes, a new company just took over their customer service 3 days prior. No phone call to let us know they weren't coming. No phone call to reschedule the appointment. Nothing. If I hadn't called for a time, we'd probably still be waiting! So, I let the new customer service rep know that since they've now delivered a defective chair and have managed to completely screw up repairing it, I wanted them to just exchange the chair for another one. I was told it would have to be referred to management and someone would call me back later that same day. It's now been another 7 days. I just called them back and was told that the manager reviewed our case and said to re-schedule a tech appointment for repairs! Again, no phone call. No courtesy whatsoever. I just purchased $2800 for sofa and chair this past Saturday. I need to speak with my Sales person, Bryan Sanchez (who was great). I called the number on the business card as well as on website for local store. I was put on automated wait. I tried of waiting and hung up. I called a second time, again put on hold, recorded message said there were 148 calls ahead of me, giving me to option to leave my number and they would call me back. Needless to say, I was extremely frustrated with there phone message system. So I left my phone number; I did receive a timely return phone call. I asked to speak with my sales person Bryan Sanchez. They said again, asked if they could help. Again, I requested to speak to my local sales person, an Ashley phone agent, started laughing and said "excuse me". I repeated myself, they continued to laugh at me, again saying "excuse me". I asked agent to stop laughing, he continued. I then asked for a Manager, agent started laughing again, put me on hold, so I finally hung up. I felt so humiliated and still need help. I purchased a dinning room set from Ashley and I bought the extended warranty (5 year). In about 6 months the finish started to go on the table so I called the office and they said that someone would be out to take a look at the table by the next week and expect a call back to schedule a date. No one called back, so I called again and asked for them to schedule someone while I was on the phone (they did) and a service tech by the name of Daniel came out and said that this will be taken care of "no worries". We did not hear back from them...so I called them again. Then I was told that the warranty was still in process and that they would get back to me. Still no call back, so I called again and they told me that I would have to file a claim with the third party warranty company that handles the extended warranty. I did that and they told me that they only handle single incident repairs and since the finish was all over the table they could not cover it. I went back to Ashley and they told me that they could not help me with this either. STAY AWAY FROM ASHLEY, THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU AFTER THE SALE!!! read more

If I could give Ashley negative stars I would give them negative 5 stars all RED...BEWARE WALK AWAY! Very cheap and poorly made furniture. I bought a king storage bed unit for 1,300 (on sale) and with in 52 days it broke, called parts department and the parts were on back order literally almost 3 month wait. I decided I didn't want to wait the three months and asked for a return and was denied. After a few visited, emails and calls the store manager and I made a deal...he sent the deal to whoever but "they" denied the deal offer. So I am back to square one with no bedframe and still being denied a return on a faulty bedframe that was built. They have horrible customer service! Please walk away from Ashley's they will rob you blind, tell you lies over and over again just to take all your hard working money. This is the worst experience buying furniture I have ever experienced. We purchased our furniture on Feb 13, 2022. We were told that it may take a month or two for delivery. We finally got a partial delivery on 5/26/22. We were told that we would be receiving all 8 of our dining chairs, both our nightstands, both dressers and headboard, footboard. We only received 7 of the 8 chairs, 1 nightstand and both dressers. The delivery people said the nightstand and the headboard and footboard we not in stock. Per the sales representative the items were in stock and were at the warehouse. I was told that the side rails should arrive on June 7. and the they would deliver those and the headboard and footboard, the missing nightstand, and the last chair. I contacted customer service on 6/17 to request a partial delivery of the items that were at the warehouse. They said all the items were in stock and they would contact me to set up a delivery. I was sent a couple emails with a delivery date of 6/28/22. I also had a call on Sunday 6/26/22 from Ashley confirming the delivery for 6/28/22, she stated the only item not in stock was the dining table. Today I called Ashley to find out delivery window as I did not get a call yesterday or today. When calling the representative from customer service said that all the items were back ordered and there was no deliver for today. I took the day of work to be here for the delivery. This is the second time where they have said that a delivery was coming and they did not show up. I understand that there are delays and have been understanding. But this has gotten to a point of ridiculous and I truly regret giving Ashley Furniture our business. After spending over $6,200 on furniture and be treated this way is unacceptable. And with a company as large as Ashley you would think they would have better customer service and be able to supply what they have sold. It should not take four and a half months to get furniture. Then to have confirmation of delivery scheduled and then a no show when you have taken time off work is a terrible display of a company's integrity and value of its customers. read more

They stated that I've sat in the chair to many times and that the chair cannot be covered. I'm not a big person and aren't you supposed to sit in a chair. A NIGHTMARE OF A COMPANY. I wish I could give Ashley HomeStore 0 stars. I have had nothing but issue after issue with every piece of furniture I ordered. First was quoted 2-3 weeks for my couch, never received any delivery information so I then called the store and was told that my couch wouldn't be delivered for 3 months. I understand there are delays sometimes but there was 0 communication. Then after waiting for my other furniture to be delivered, I was told that it has been in the warehouse for three days, again with no communication that I could come get it. After finally receiving my $700 dresser and putting it together, I noticed the drawer slides are completely off, the drawers will not close/open all the way, the quality is comparable to big lots or walmart. I contacted the customer service phone line and was told there is nothing they could do for me. Even though I purchased the "protection plan" and that because we picked it up from the warehouse, we should have inspected it ourselves before taking it home. Even though it was packaged in a large box and needed some assembly. There was also no communication that we should check the quality before we take it home. Then, I went in store to talk to someone who then gave customer service like she was not interested in helping us. Told me that a tech would call me to set up an appointment for them to come fix the dresser. After a week with no communication(once again) I was told that I already have a scheduled date. After all of these problems, all I would like is some compensation. After sitting on hold for over 30 minutes, I was then told by another corporate person that they will not do anything for me because we picked up the furniture ourselves. I purchased a sofa table and picked it up at the warehouse. Got it home and saw that the front corner is cracked. Called the store the next day and asked about exchanging it for another one. I was told that they couldn't do that, that they need to send a craftsman out to the house to look at it. Which means I will have to take time off from work, etc. NOT HAPPY. I've called again to question this and was again told they would contact me to schedule something. It's been over a week now and nobody has contacted me. I just want to exchange the table. It's a brand new table - I don't want it repaired, I want it replaced or just give me a refund. PLEASE BEWARE!!!! I wish I could give 0 stars!! We purchased two bedroom sets from Ashley back on 12.4.21. They collected taxes and delivery up front. They charge $359.99 for shipping which is ridiculous since there major competitor charges $59.99. The first bedroom set was delivered on 3.9.22, however, it is now 7 months later and our furniture still isn't available. The kicker is they have had the dresser, 2 nightstands and bed since February. All that has been missing our the bed rails. I called and asked several times for them to get the bedrails from another party and they can't go outside of the box to help customers. Back to the collection of money.... after receiving such crappy service, I was told on 3.2.22 that they would waive the shipping, however, they couldn't reverse the delivery fee itself or our 2nd set wouldn't be delivered. They were however able to apply a credit of $359.99 to our furniture, piece by piece. Of course they never did and now they aren't able to. It is SO UNETHICAL for a business to hold on to your money for 7 months. I have gotten excuse after excuse. They should NEVER have collected the shipping charge upfront until our complete order was delivered nor the taxes, if they can't withhold their end of the contract. We would have NEVER ordered 1 set of furniture with a $359.99 delivery fee, but now that we finally cancelled the 2nd set of furniture due to 7 months of wasted time and frustration we are stuck paying it on only 1 set of furniture. Now we get to drive a hour for our refund on the taxes and the 2nd set because that is the only way they can "help." I was promised 3 times that a manager would call me, but never did get that call. How are they able to collect delivery fees and taxes when they can't deliver? Yes, we cancelled the 2nd set after 7 months of promises and promises taken back. But we shouldn't have to pay the shipping either way you look at it. So essentially they have made interest with my money for 7 months. I am NOT the only one whose had major issues with Ashley, I can't count the number of people I have discussed this with who have a similar story or something off the wall. Please spread the word and discourage your loved ones from having to go through all this. I'm so glad my experience with Ashley is finally over. My financial stuff is through their smart sales so hopefully I will never have to deal with another Ashley person. These past 3 months have been hell. It all started when I was sold a couch with the wrong measurements and wanted to cry when it was delivered. I went back to the store twice to sign a new deal with a new couch being told I was going to have to wait a whole month. Longer than I would like to wait, however, I thought, people make mistakes, move on. Soooo I get a text saying I'm having a deduction on my account for a couch I do not yet have in my possession. Took all day to figure out and got in trouble at work for being on the phone for so long. Got another text a month later saying they were finally coming to pick up the new couch. I called and they said they were not delivering the new couch that I would have to wait another month. Got another text saying they were coming over with my new couch 3 weeks later so I got off work early to find out that they weren't picking up my existing couch so I would end up with 2 couches in my living room. Ashley finally left after 3 months of hell. I am very sorry I did business with these people. In the end all they cared about was getting credit for the sale. We just moved here and were in desperate need of new furniture. I went in and was greeted right away. They guy was very nice and listened to my wants and needs. I made the mistake of showing him my approval amount for the credit card as I did not want to spend that much and sure enough my card is maxed out and then some! The sales guy was in no way pushy , I didn't feel pressured by him at all. My husband didn't like the cheaper set I originally chose because it was firm and the recliner was too small for our larger American physique! We are planning to buy a new home soon and didn't want to push our income to debt ratio. We love the new set the guys brought it quicker than expected and were in and out in no time! We would definitely be back again but next time I think the husband and I need to be on the same page 1st! read more

HEADLINE: Disabled veteran received absolutely horrible customer care and service from Ashley Homestore in Meridian, Idaho!!! My wife and I purchased a bedroom set on August 16, 2021. It is February 9, 2022 and it still hasn't been delivered! I should've known this was a shady deal when the sales person (David Meloche) said to us after we paid for the furniture in full ($4k) "the delivery fee is $399" and when I scoffed at that, he said, "I'm sorry did I just hear you say, you could get delivery from a competitor for $99???" and he said, "we can price match that" and I hadn't even understood what he asked, and I didn't even answer! At any rate, I was told delivery would be 4 - 6 weeks. In mid September, I received a call to say, the furniture would be delayed until December 18th. Then December 16th I received a call to say it would be mid January. So I went into the store in person and met with Zack McKay (the store manager) and he gave me some lame a$$ excuse about how the bed rails weren't going to be there on time and that now we were looking at the end of January. Well, guess what, the January date came and still no furniture. Well this time, I got the cell phone number of David and started communication with him. I sent texts and asked questions. Sometimes he would respond and sometimes he wouldn't, but when I prompted him, then he would come up with some excuse for not contacting me...mind you he had no problem communicating with me when he was taking our $4k. I texted with him and he (I am not exaggerating and have the text traffic to prove it) that he is taking a dresser from another customer's order to fulfill mine! So this past weekend, February 5, 2022, I stopped by the store to confirm delivery for this Saturday February 12. This time, I received a "well it looks like we're waiting on your bed rails and so it's going to be March 5th. So after I interjected a few expletives, David said ,"I'm going to pull rails off of another bed so that we can complete your order. While there, I was dealing with another young lady and I asked "so what's next for the February 12 delivery? She said, "sir, you'll receive a text 3 days before the delivery and then the day before, they will narrow down a time frame for Saturday. So, I went in today because I did NOT in fact receive a text about my delivery 3 days prior as she told me....low and behold they told me the delivery was set for Feb 19th because they were waiting on the rails!!! I then asked Zack Mckay why the rails were delayed if David told me he was going to pull rails off another bed to complete my order...and he proceeds to tell me "David didn't care for the way the conversation ended..." are you kidding me?!?!? So now, supposedly there is another person coming in tomorrow to take the rails off another bed and have them ready for me to pick up to complete my order...Well, we have been more than patient. Tomorrow I'm going in to demand my money back! In the past, I have purchased a sectional sofa, and 2 leather recliners from Ashley. I am a 22 year disabled veteran and I work hard for the money I have. I find it simply appalling that customers are treated this poorly in the United States...I will NEVER spend another cent with this company! In fact, I will go to their store, wearing a shirt or a sign describing how crappy their customer care really is, and I'll stand outside and let everyone going in know exactly what happened here! WARNING FOR ALL POTENTIAL BUYERS Buyer beware! This in regards to Ashley's in-house financing, 'Acceptance Now'. My fiancé and I purchased a table and a couch sometime last year. (Originally posted the review on their Yelp but they deactivated the service to further their deceit) We paid for the couch in full but decided to finance the table. It was about $500. Somehow we were duped into thinking we could just make simple monthly payments until the balance was paid off. The lady signed us up set us up for $120/month payments with the first month being free. Well after 3 months we got a call saying we owed about $1,000!!! Upon immediate invention and questioning I was told that we had to pay off the balance in full in 90 days or else major interest and fees and random charges would accrue. To which I replied "Well if we only had 90 days to pay it off then why would you set us up for $120/month payment plans with the first month being free? That's only $240 by the time the balance is due in full. You set us up for failure!" Which they did. And chose to argue with me claiming I "signed an agreement". Yeah ok after 2 hours of bullshit chit chat and paper pushing I never ONCE heard about the 90 days. Which still doesn't explain why I was set-up for failure. I don't just miss that stuff. I didn't hear it, it wasn't said. I ended up having to pay in FULL the entire amount. This is racketeering. A scam. Shady business. And they should be shut down. Absolutely the worst experience I could imagine. I do not recommend buying from Ashley under any circumstances. I placed my order in September ~ they said all the items on my order would be delivered on November 14; however, that was a lie to make the sale. Some items arrived in November; such as 1/2 my couch with legs that do not match. I ordered three bedroom sets and only one bed was put together because bed rails were missing on the other two beds. A couch and chair arrived damaged. The sofa table we ordered is the same height as the bar stools (thanks to the salesman), so no room for your legs. I went into the local store and they would not help me. They said Ashley policy is that once an item is left at your house, you are stuck with it. We spent over $10,000 and we are getting the worst customer service possible. I called and talked to the local store manager and he could care less....he was not even listening to me on the phone. The people are friendly, the financing is ok, but they need to work on their timing. Spending 2+ hours in a furniture store is torture..... The first set we bought we saved on the delivery fee and picked up for the warehouse. With our next purchase we opted for the delivery to save our backs. Delivery was scheduled 3 weeks out, not a huge deal, but still a little annoying. Then the delivery times....a 3 hour window, and we both work. We requested multiple times to have the delivery team call one of us when they're on their way so we can meet them at the house - were told they'd put a note in but no guarantees and the drivers can only wait for 20 minutes before they have to leave. Day of delivery came, the online tracker doesn't work in Boise, so we hoped for the best. Got a call after the delivery team had sat and waited fur 10 minutes! The financing people let me stand at the counter 30 minutes before they decided to stop chatting while letting 2 others actually assist customers on the phone. Then the associate explained the program I had selected. 90 same as cash 0% interest. The very first month I find out I had been placed on a payment plan over a year. Not what I had agreed to. I was that I had been made aware of this and I had not. All of my furniture has been from Ashley. I have purchased from locations in another state. The furniture is of good quality. Unfortunately, I will not be patronizing this particular location ever. So sad to have lost a very loyal customer due to poor employees. read more

My fiance and I had a plan to buy a couch one weekend, and we landed at Ashley Homestore in Meridian, ID after a bad experience at the furniture place we just left. We were lucky enough to get an amazing salesman (Carlos) who helped us pick a beautiful couch in our price range. However, the experiences to follow makes me wish we had never purchased from this place at all. We got a text to confirm delivery of our couch on a Friday (the Friday of a holiday weekend I might add), we confirmed delivery for Friday. Friday rolls around, and we get another text to confirm delivery on Saturday. ??? We call to see what's going on, and they tell us that the delivery people over booked, and had to deliver on Saturday instead. My fiance had taken off work already to be there for the delivery guys on Friday AND we had plans to go out of town camping for the weekend as, again, it was a holiday weekend. My fiance has now missed out on hours at work, and we were home for the holiday weekend. My fiance decides to go pick the couch up himself with a friend that had a truck on Saturday. When he gets there to pick it up, my fiance asks the guy at the warehouse if there's any paperwork he needed to sign because they tried to send him off without signing anything at all. Had he not asked, he wouldn't have signed anything. He signs the paperwork, brings home the couch, then a couple days later gets a call saying "We lost your paperwork. We're going to need you to come to the store in Meridian to sign that paperwork so we can take the delivery fee off your payments." Lost hours at work, cancelled plans on the last camping weekend of the year, and now my fiance has to (yet again) go out of his way, to sign paperwork that THEY lost. What a JOKE! I'm so unhappy with our experience at Ashley. I will not recommend this place to any friends or family, and I will not be buying from this place ever again! read more

I am having the same problem as others who have purchased from the Meridian, ID store. I bought a reclining loveseat. It is too short and I want to return it and purchase the reclining sofa. When I tried to make the switch after having the loveseat for about 25 days I was told No because I have to ask for the switch within 14 days! I have disputed the purchase on my credit account and am waiting for them to respond. I bought some furniture from Ashley's in Peoria, Az and did not experience the same poor customer service. Ashley, if you read this, please don't give me a weak response! Just let me make the switch. Ashley, I answered your request and sent you my email address and phone number. Are you going to solve my issue? So Ashley called me and and repeated the same thing the store "Manager" said: "They cannot help me because it is over 14 days. " This company truly does not care about their customer. In fact, the person who called me said she also was a "Manager". What a scam they call many employees "Manager" trying to fool the buyer. well finally have my money back today after over a month and a half of fighting these snakes, so I can give my review. if you are reading these reviews and thinking something bad won't happen to YOU, trust me- I did the same thing. I wish I had listened to others before we even walked in here. the sales people circle like sharks the minute you walk in. they are nice enough, but it's all fake. they don't give a crap about you. they convince you to buy more and more for a discount, and when you do it and you're all excited they put a contract in front of your face you won't read and sign away. ordered a sectional for our basement- excited enough about it. it was the only one in the store that we actually liked and was decently priced. it's insane how much they charge for sofas...especially since the quality is crap. signed away our life, and waited. 3 weeks later when it came, it didn't fit. literally- we couldn't get it in the room. the parts we could get in the room were cheap and sagged already. the quality was terrible. the delivery guys were really nice and told us we should just get a different configuration and when ashley called back and said it didn't come that way, we told them it wasn't going to work and to take the couch back. this is where they get you- there are no returns. even if you have never sat on the couch- they will not take stuff back. you have to "re-select". well, they didn't have another couch that was going to fit, we had to change the entire game plan. we told them we wanted our money back- we were told that they don't do that. after a LOT of hassle and a LOT of anger and a LOT of waiting and 2 weeks to come back and get the couch- 3 weeks to get our refund- so many calls to corporate I can't even see straight- we are still out the $120 in delivery fees. i'm just glad we got most of it back and glad I never have to deal with this crap company or these crap people ever again. and if the manager comments on this- which i'm sure he will- remember he's just trying to cover his own snake business. we finally got the couch we needed at fred meyer and the people there were so nice- don't work on commission- helpful- and even told us if it didn't fit we could RETURN IT! how's that for service?! i guarantee you the good reviews on here are just wives and family members of the desperate sales people that work on commission- i'm not buying it. I will never go to this vendor again. ordered furniture in late August - sales person said delivery could be as early as mid-Sept, but more likely Oct 1st. Blamed Covid shutdowns in furniture manufacturing. Ok, i get that. As Oct 1st grew closer, received a call from a call center CSR - delivery delayed, More like Nov. 1 - still a Covid problem. Got a call a week ago, partial delivery 1st week of November. Got a call today, no record of partial delivery call - delivery delayed until December 16. WTF? is this the worst furniture store ever or what? And the best part is, I paid for this furniture in August. They must be laughing all the way to the bank. JUST BE HONEST!!! MOST CUSTOMERS WILL APPRECIATE IT!!! I purchased a couch and coffee table 11/18/20 (pretty simple) I was told from the get go delivery would prob. be delayed until the end of Dec, maybe 1st wk of Jan. (no prob. I'm not in need just replacing) I didn't receive any calls/emails/text so I happened to be near the store & popped in to inquire (beginning of Jan 2021) I was told we are waiting for my couch to be shipped from the Tacoma warehouse & delivery should be around Feb. 2. Well again no contact so I called the store (on Feb 1 almost 11 weeks from purchase date) & was again told we are waiting for the couch to be shipped from the Tacoma warehouse & delivery should be around Feb. 19. Well now I can't wrap my brain around why it's taking so long to ship a couch from Tacoma why is it just sitting there for so long!!! So I called Ashley customer care instead, only to finally be informed the couch is actually on back order!! (Which I'm ok-ish with) I don't know why the store feels its necessary to make up bs lies. Just tell me my couch is on b/o rather than lie to my face! The lies don't make me feel better, truth is much more appreciated! My experience with Ashley was insanely substandard. For the past week, I have been in contact with two store associates by phone about purchasing a sofa bed. They promised I would be able to purchase a couch online through a link they would email me. Of course the email never came. I call three days in a row, still no email. I visit the store once I am in town the fourth day, and the sales associate tells me that I was given false information about the color they had in stock in their warehouse, and the new delivery date is one month from now. Completely infuriating customer service that can't seem to get their story straight. Will never be shopping with Ashley again, I'm glad I went to another furniture store to purchase a sofa bed. read more

The Ashley Furniture Store Service Department is an absolute joke! This is the first negative review I have ever done but I have no other choice, the Service Manager needs to held accountable for the way his department is being managed. Our couch recliner is falling apart and we have owned it less than a year. We open a service ticket, schedule an appointment, and the Service Manager cancels our appointment without telling us because according to their records, he noted that he needs to get the part in before coming to our home. Apparently he is all knowing and knows exactly what part we need without ever coming to look at our couch. So instead of showing up to get some eyes on the problem, they just ghost us. We waited around all day because they wont commit to even a reasonable 2-3 hour time block, you are just expected to wait all day on the off chance they show up...which of course they never did. So, we decide to call and see if we can escalate the issue and the call center literally tells us that "he is just going to cancel the appointment again so it wont do any good to schedule another appointment", so, we ask that he just call us... that was a week ago. I would do your research before you buy from Ashley, the products may look great but its how a company conducts themselves when an issue does come up that makes the difference. So we bought a bedroom set , The delivery drives were awesome guys , professional and nice . HOWEVER ! They opened up one of the boxes and it was damaged. Okay it happens , they came to us showed the damage part we all took pictures they called Ashley's it was all good . They said if you don't hear from them , please give them a call . 4 hours goes by I call Ashley's furniture. I have bought full sets of furniture multiple times through here and haven't ever had issues. This time around, I'm unimpressed. We ordered a bed set back in December and were told it would take 1-2 months to come in. It's now almost been 4 months and they told us sometime in April? Don't lie to your customers! The customer service is wonderful in store but once you make your purchase, you become irrelevant to them. We had two of our pieces completely broken when picked up. The wood on our TV stand was split and you cannot even open the side table drawer because the wood is shredded so bad. Broken furniture is understandable, especially when shipped, but what really frustrated us is their lack of aid in trying to help solve our issues. We were on hold for a very long time before someone actually picked up, and they refused to help us once they actually did answer. We now have to haul all the pieces back to their warehouse and see if they can "fix it". We will then have to drive back to the warehouse and pick them back up instead of having it shipped. They refused to help us out at all in terms of shipping, which cost an outrageous 250$ by the way. Do yourself a favor and don't order a bed here - go to a mattress store. There is more to selling furniture...you actually have to deliver the furniture. 11 weeks to get a bedframe and bed is crazy. I never got a call that it was backordered. I was assured by manager they would haul away my old bed only to call and have them say "oh, we never do that". Installers left debris and rubber bands all over carpet. Not happy with experience. read more
