The salesperson was extremely helpful in assisting us with finding the exact bedroom set and sofa we were looking for. Honestly, my wife and I were not exactly sure what we wanted when we walked in, but after spending several hours in the store with this gentleman, we were able to find exactly what we wanted. He also helped in choosing the accessories, and I couldn't be more pleased with the way it all looks once it was delivered to our house. Walked in and the sales person comes to me and was a bit polite, told her what I was looking for and just directed me the back of the store without helping me to what I was looking for. She sat down with the other sales person continued her conversation, I found what I was looking for but had no help From no one. Worst experience ever. Purchased a show room sofa, traveled 225 miles then found out they loaded the wrong one. I was not bringing it back. Then the loveseat I needed had to be ordered. They would not sale the loveseat for the same price as the one I originally wanted because the manager/owner said she would loose money. Look I'm not stupid, you don't pay the same price you sell it for because you wouldn't make money. Although, it was their mistake she wasn't even willing to sell it at cost and made it sound like she lost all this money already on the sofa. The two sofas had the same $899. value, its just one was on sale for the event special. She is trying to sale me a loveseat for $700+, but the one I originally wanted was on sale for $379. " I can't take that kind of loss", she says. Bullshit, your cost is not the sale price, you are not losing money, you just won't make money. Greedy, selfish owner who wants you to pay for their mistake. Come get your sofa and give me back my money. I am reporting you to cooperate, because of you, I will never shop ASHLEY again. read more

Beware horrible service they are overcharging customers, I looked on internet and the prices are so much cheaper, also I had to finally go to Albuquerque, NM to Ashley and get my furniture from them 1000.00 cheaper and the delivery fee also cheaper, saved over 1000.00 dollars on what I wanted, Love you Ashley's in Albuquerque, NM. I just moved here from Florida and I needed to buy all new furniture. I moved into a completely empty home where it's ceramic tile and cold. I take care of my 83 year old father too. So..I admit I was in a hurry when I purchased a sofa and loveseat here. I thought buying at a retailer may cost me a little more, but I found out that I actually paid almost $1,500 more!!! When I attempted to cancel MUCH before the furniture arrived, I found out that not only is this store NOT even an Ashley Home Store, they just hijack the name, but they don't honor anything whatsoever that Ashley adheres to because they're privately owned. I was told that I'd have to pay $700 to cancel this order!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a widow and I'm doing ALL this on my own. Now I have to either take the $1,500 hit for couches that aren't all that impressive and not even 100% leather, OR I have to just GIVE them $700!!!!!!!!!! Nice!!! WARNING,WARNING,WARNING, I can NOT stress this enough, if you are looking for a furniture store that cares and values their customer more that their own interests, the Ashley Furniture store in Las Cruces, NM is not the store for you. It is self owned and the owner has none of the quality values that Ashley name is known for. She is self driven and cares nothing about customer or the serve they receive in her store, just worried about being open next year. Other Ashley Furniture stores although, further away such as Albuquerque, El Paso would be a better decision and save yourself from the bad customer servers, over priced experience. It's really sad for the sales people there they are caring and had a very present experience but, when trouble came even the sales person WARNED and gave advise on how to address the issue with owner. Undoubtedly, I will never step foot in this store nor will I referrer anyone I know to this store. I like the quality of Ashley furniture and for these reason, I will shop other REAL Ashley dealers that care and value their customers. read more

This is the worst furniture store in town! If you need a mattress, go to Sam's Club instead. We went to this store to get a twin mattress for my daughter's new loft bed (purchased from Hayneedle online, not Ashley's Furniture). Although there were 5 employees standing around, my husband had to pull a mattress off a bunk bed himself because no one would help us. They sent a stock boy to see what we were doing and finally a "sales" person when we asked about their prices. The twin mattresses were so overpriced that the "sales" person advised us to go to Kmart! We took her advice & went to Kmart, but discovered their mattresses would not fit my daughter's bed. We returned to Ashley's furniture, resigned to pay too much, because we'd promised our little girl a mattress for her new bed and all the furniture/mattress stores would soon close. The employees were locking up the store 15 minutes before closing time, but we managed to get in to tell them we would take the mattress we priced. But they refuosed to sell it to us! They said the stock boy was gone, so no one was available to load it in our truck. We told them we would load it up ourselves, but again they refused, citing liability concerns! We reminded them it was just a twin mattress, a lite one at that, but they would not budge. We were not allowed to carry it out and none of them were willing to carry it out for us. All 4 employees just stood around, staring at each other, unwilling to load up a twin mattress! They actually did us a favor by being unbelievably rude; if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have gone to Sam's Club where we ended up paying less for a far better mattress, two sets of quality sheets, dinner, a case of bottled water, & dessert! Before this experience, my husband and I had bought a mattress at Ashley's Furniture, but we will never again set foot in that out-of-date, overpriced, store staffed with the laziest & rudest, "sales" people in all of Las Cruces. read more

I ordered furniture Dec 3rd waited a month and when it got here it was the wrong color, I was told to refuse the order, I went down to ASHLEY'S to find a solution and apparently it was my fault, I was told we can refund your money or reorder, then Wanda bowman tells me well I honored the online price those couches are 1700$, OK so what's that got to do with anything I paid for them who cares what I paid they were on sale through Ashley online, needless to say we got no apologies for the inconvenience on new years eve, instead she said oh what's one day, REALLY, Then oh and I won't charge you again for delivery, WHY WOULD YOU, SO DISGUSTING, I'm a hairdresser and belive me I've told everyone who sits in my chair how awful my new years eve was THANKS TO WANDA BOWMAN, ED, AND ASHLEY'S FURNITURE, don't shop here ever, rude people, what ever happened to the customer is always right, not at Ashley furniture. read more

Visited with my family and were not greeted when we entered the store. People walking in before us were, people walking in as we left were but no one spoke to us. We found some items we wished to purchase and couldn't get anyone to help us which was odd because it wasn't busy and there were plenty of employees just standing around. Just didn't feel welcome. Thank goodness there is a Cons and Mattress firm in town as we were able to get the items we needed. Still on the hunt for a sectional but I know I won't be going to Ashely Furniture for it. read more

I had a couch delivered to my home. The movers were pretty careless, and as a result, they scratched my wall. They even took a small chunk out of it. I called Ashley Furniture to see what could be done about repairing my wall, and I was transferred to the owner, Wanda Bowman. At this point, I wasn't angry. I just wanted them to repair my wall. The first time I spoke to Ms. Bowman, she was very courteous and understanding, but the second time I spoke to her she was rude and addressed me with a lot of attitude. After a couple of more calls, trying to get things sorted out, I finally had my husband call her, thinking that he might get a different reaction from her. He did....or so we thought. She told him that she would be sending someone out to make the necessary repairs, but low and behold, 2 months later, we've still not seen or heard from anyone. We give up. We're just going to fix the wall ourselves. What a shame. I actually do like the furniture from Ashley, but we will no longer be shopping there, based on principle. It's a good thing that Las Cruces has a Furniture Row. The quality of their furniture is comparable, if not slightly better. read more
