Two weeks in and it's the worst mattress we ever slept on. Called to return it (since we bought the mattress protector) and the manager says that the brand mattress doesn't fall into that return program. So they scammed us and made us buy a mattress protector for no reason. After multiple calls they finally said they would return it but we had to PAY A RESTOCKING FEE OVER $500! Absolutely the worst place to do business. My wife and I bought a purple mattress for over $3k from them and were told by the sales associate that we could return it within 100 days and switch it out with a different mattress because it fell under the Comfort Return Policy. Since we bought the mattress we both have had terrible back and neck pain. I called the store to ask about the policy and they tell me that purple mattresses don't fall under this policy, they went back on their word. The sales associate also told us the only way we could return it is if we bought the mattress protector for $100 so we did. It was just a way for them to get even more money out of us. Heart broken, all around terrible experience. We purchased an outdoor couch set and within a few days it went on sale. My husband, currently on leave from deployment, attempted to speak to the General Manager Tracy to have the price matched since we were only within a few short days of purchase. The store refused to price match even. They certainly lost a customer for life but more importantly the treatment by the Store Manager Tracy and her superior Jessica was sickening. I shared we were a military family and I had just donated a kidney so was hoping to have this resolved. The response was "and so what". I left the store in tears and never plan to return due to such horrible treatment as a human being but utter disrespect for my service member. Please consider reviews on Yelp as well and sort negative 1st. You'll be saddening by the lack of overall professionalism and it's clear if any responses by the company "owner" is made the response simply pushes poof customers to an alternative email. read more

Worst customer experience at the Lancaster Ashley Furniture. My fiancé and I were shopping for living room furniture for our new home. We decided on a sofa, love seat, and coffee table that were all floor models. They had informed us that we could have everything delivered through their "new system" and someone would call us to set-it up. When they called, we were told that we couldn't have floor models delivered. Then, the manager got on the phone to tell us that we could - but she had to figure out the "new system." No call back days later - had to follow up. The manager had not heard anything on delivery dates via email yet so she asked if I wanted her to call to the delivery company to see if she could get us a delivery date. (Of course I want her to call...that's called good customer service.) No one knew what was going on - not even the manager. Unsurprisingly, the chaos persisted, and they were unwilling to compensate for their mistake. Frustrated, we demanded a full refund, but the manager and team displayed very little sympathy. This store desperately needs better management. Would not recommend - plenty of other places to shop for furniture that has better customer service and delivery!! read more

They delivered broken furniture..drawers in dresser would not close..the slides were demolished and 2 drawers were completely inoperable. Went insane trying to get someone to answer my calls. Supervisor pretended not to be there each time I called. After 5 months, replacement dresser was "delivered". Plopped 2 feet inside my front door...no legs or pulls were attached. They refused to bring it upstairs OR take the broken on. I can't even explain the extent of horrible thoughts this store has caused my family. read more

Saw a recliner on their web site. Drove to the store to purchase. Store front had several signs stating "Sale" and "Free Delivery". They did not have the product but offered me a floor model of a similar style. I agreed to purchase and was told delivery to my house, 12 miles away, was $100.00. I commented on the countless Free Delivery signs and was told I had to spend $2,000 for the delivery to be free. Nowhere on the sign does it state that. The sales people were nice enough but the company's delivery program is the worst experience I've ever had with delivery of ANYTHING. Starts with you being asked to sign an agreement that you're willing to wait 12-16 weeks for delivery......really? Anyway, about 12 weeks in I get an email saying all my furniture is in the warehouse, call and make an schedule a delivery. So I do this and I'm told the soonest is 2 wks. The day before I call to confirm and I'm told oh sorry, we're behind and the soonest will be another 2 wks. The day of delivery they tell me one of the pieces are missing and a second one is broke. The customer service calls me and says don't worry, we have them both in a neighboring warehouse and we'll get it to you in a week. After a week with no communication I call them and I'm told they don't have it and it'll be another week. They also tell me there is nothing about the missing furniture until I say I have a copy of the delivery note. Then all of of a sudden, OH I see it now. The day before delivery I'm awoke by the automated confirmation call at midnight. The next day I wait all afternoon and an hour before the end of the time window I call them again. I'm told yes you're definitely on the schedule they must be running late. An hour after the time window I call again and customer service says they have no idea what's happening, they can't get an update. The next day I call and I'm given another delivery date a week later. Again after sitting home waiting for it I'm told it won't be delivered. It didn't pass inspection. And they'll get back to me. The following week I'm told it's going to be another week to which I then say enough is enough, it's time for my stuff to be delivered and someone else be pushed to the back of the line. But they hold to the best they can do is the following weekend (Easter weekend) that I can't do because of a trip. So it will be another 2 weeks. Those of you not keeping track... that's 9 weeks and 3 missed days of work from the time it was said to be in their warehouse. I suggested they rent a box truck or pickup and drop it off to me. A couple hundred bucks and 1/2 day work for someone and this can all be resolved for about $500. Not too much for a customer that bought a bedroom, living room, and dining room set and has been put through so much. However, after talking to countless "managers" I get the same answer that they can't approve anything to expedite it. read more

I recommend never doing business with Ashley furniture At their Lancaster location or anywhere else! We ordered some things from them with no problem a couple of years ago, but this last time has been a nightmare. They delivered us the wrong size box spring and have refused to accept a return on the item. They gave my husband the run around for about two months, telling him repeatedly that they would call back but never would, and he even got hung up on by someone at the store on one occasion, before they told us that corporate closed our case and they absolutely would not accept the return or refund us. I don't know how they can get away with not fixing a problem that was their fault, but here we are. We also found out that they FORGED my husband's signature on an order form, which is ILLEGAL! We have disputed the charge with our credit card company and have contacted the Better Business Bureau. We are also considering seeking legal council for the fraudulent signature. Upon posting my experience on my personal social media pages, I learned that many of my friends have also had terrible experiences at various Ashley locations. We're never doing business with them again and urge others not to either. read more

Delivery scheduled 4/14/2022, furniture ordered 12/24/2021. The delivery NEVER occurred; I was home all day. Ashley stated that the furniture had to be scanned in before it could be re-delivered and that would talk 72 hours. I have called over a dozen times and a new delivery date has not been scheduled as of this writing 5/19/2022 (over 720 hours since the 4/14 delivery date). The company will not cancel the order which would allow us to purchase something else/somewhere else. Every time I call they say something will happen in two days but it never does. As a result I am awaiting a return email from NBC 10 responds and the BBB regarding this complaint! read more

Absolute worst customer service experience of my life. My boyfriend and I spent $3500 at Ashley to furnish our bedroom and living room. The first issue: We were told THREE different prices on the furniture before we purchased it at a higher price then we were originally quoted for. Annoying, but we let it go. Second issue: The day we move into our new house, the furniture was delivered. The movers demanded $50 cash to bring the furniture inside. I said absolutely not. They threw a fit but eventually brought it inside our house. Third issue: We bought a $1000 bed frame from Ashley that I then slept on for a total of 5 nights before it collapsed. And by collapsed, I mean there are wooden slats laying around our bedroom. I was on the bed when it collapsed and my head hit the wall. We also bought the 5 year protection plan on the bed frame. What. A. Joke. No refund. No store credit. It's been a week and no one has returned our call to come fix it. The people at the desk have been nothing but rude and unhelpful in this situation. This place is a joke. Please spend your hard earned money anywhere besides this trashy "business", if you can even call it that. Whenever you have to make major financial investments you desire the help from experienced professionals. I was blessed to walk in and find that in my sales associate, Jacob. He was thorough and patient as I provided dimensions of room I needed furniture. In addition, I came in the second visit with the exact dimensions and he refit what I needed with no question. He never displayed frustration or bad hospitality. He was kind, hospitable, and fun! I would return to him in a second if I ever need furniture again. He should train, the many people who currently work in positions like this in all stores, on the value of customer service! To complete the sale I was helped by customer service representative, Becky. She was not as dynamic as Jacob but she had a quiet and friendly demeanor. This place is a fucking joke. Went & got a bed for my daughter. When placing the order my boyfriend & I asked three or more times if a mattress came with the bed & we were told "Yes" every time. When the bed frame got delivered there was no mattress. I called two days later to have them fix it, mainly because the price I was told I was paying was for a mattress & bed frame. When I finally got to talk to someone at the store (Sunny), all I got was an apology. There was no attempts to fix anything they did wrong. I was told if I brought the bed back to the store that night that no one in the store was going to help me & if I returned it, that there was no promise I was getting my money back. I would have to get store credit. Who wants store credit for a store that lied to them about the product they were buying in the first place? They then told me I had to schedule a delivery date for them to pick the bed up. I got tired of the headache & said I was going to just keep it. The lady I called back to tell this too was unbelievably rude. None of their employees have any kind of customer service, what so ever. Never shopping there again. read more

No one answers phone number at the store. The sales people are trained to lie. the floor managers don't tell you the truth about delivery. They befriend you, take their time with you and make you feel like you are being heard and receiving top notch service with a smile. It's all a front! I paid for furniture and received half my order, they have my money and no one, absolutely no one I have spoken to, from Catherine and the distribution center to Monaeja at customer service can help me! I sold my house my deceased husband built after living there for 65 years. This was a very emotional process. On Sept.6, 2020 my daughter helped me shop for new furniture for my new apartment. I placed an order with Ashley Furniture in Lancaster,PA for a sofa and 2 kitchen bar stools and paid in full $1346.20 including delivery on my VISA card. I was promised delivery by Nov.6, 2020 when I planned to move into my new apartment. My daughter called on Nov.6th, and was told delivery was delayed until Jan.19th for the stools; Feb.6, 2021 for the sofa, and they would keep updated every two weeks via email on status. No updates ever received and called numerous times to get updates. Called on Jan.13, 2021 for an update and told the delivery date now March 20, 2021. Called the store today, Jan.14, 2021 and told I need to come into the store in person to cancel and process the refund. Given my age (88), health issues, and COVID situation I'm unwilling to do this. So I submitted a request for a refund through the Ashley Furniture Customer Facebook Group and informed my Credit card company to dispute this charge. read more

There is a BIG Disconnect somewhere. First the period of time to even get your furniture is ridiculous. So I wait the 17 weeks and schedule my delivery. I don't hear back from anyone. Call the two numbers on my sales invoice and receipt. The one number rings eternally, the other picks up and hangs up. I reach to my amazing sales person and she contacts the warehouse. Went to Ashley Home Store after doing a bunch of online shopping. After being shown several options, we ordered a queen sleeper sofa and rocker recliner on December 26, 2019. We were told to expect delivery in 2-6 weeks. Received a phone call on January 21, 2020 that our furniture had arrived, and to set up delivery. Unfortunately, we couldn't take delivery until today, February 1, 2020 due to our schedules. Received a call on January 28. 2020 to arrange delivery for February 1. Was told to expect them between 8am and 12 noon. Delivery arrived at 10:30am. Delivery men got right to work, got the furniture in with no damage. Inspected the furniture, no damage or tears in the fabric. Delivery men cleaned up, and were gone by 11:10am. Very happy with the entire process. Thank you Ashley Home Stores !!!!! read more

Two separate orders because the one was out of stock until 10 days later... both orders have been postponed multiple times... now they pushed into November! Why do they keep selling items they cannot fulfill on time! This is customer service at its worst! I left a great review when I purchased the furniture over 8 months ago. Yes 8 months ago. I am now changing that 5 star review to a 1 and only because I was unable leave a 0. First of all the furniture came 4 months after I ordered it. It arrived damaged and all dented up. I agreed to keep the side rails and the footboard of the bed (they could not put bed together as the holes had been drilled wrong and headboard was unusable) and one night stand (although there were scratches and messed up paint on the nightstand) as I felt so bad for the delivery guys , who had carried them upstairs and put them together. Looking back this was a huge mistake. 3 months after that, they brought the other nightstand and mattress. The mattress is still in the floor and they never delivered the headboard or the board I purchased for under the mattress (no box spring as it is a sleigh bed with drawers underneath). Here I am 8 months later with no bed, only parts of the bed lying in the middle of the room. When my son comes home from school he has to sleep on the floor with all that mess. No one answers the phone when you call the store. Please be warned if you choose to shop here. read more

So incredibly frustrated with the lack of customer service. We ordered a couch two weeks ago and was told delivery today. Only to have them cancel one hour before our delivery window. After they confirmed the night before!!! My husband took off work without pay to be home for the delivery. Tried calling multiple times only to be put on hold for 20 minutes at a time or no answer at all. Apparently several trucks are breaking down this week. With how much you charge for NON delivered items maybe you could buy new trucks??? Or maybe satisfy your customers by reimbursing delivery charge? I get things happen but but maybe deliver next delivery day vs waiting a whole week! Or reimburse the fee. So incredibly disappointed with Ashley's Furniture. Brandon was kind and tried to do what he could but unfortunately we are still without a couch for who knows how long. Apparently they were told we rescheduled delivery???? Nope! Purchased an outdoor four-piece patio set here on 5/16/2021 and drove to Philadelphia to pick it up to save on delivery fee. The same set was listed on the Ashley website on 5/28/2021 for $167.01 cheaper but this store refused to do a price adjustment (two weeks later). I could've had it delivered for less than the "military discounted" final price I paid to pick it up 120 miles away. General manager did not offer any sort of resolution due to her apparent disregard for my future business. I highly recommend shopping from the website which offers better deals and price protection. This franchisee is greedy and does not care about the community it serves. Buyer beware. read more
