Bad experience with Ashley .I bought a dresser from Kingsport Store. I had a problem with my bill and of course i tried calling the billing company but got someone in another country. Could not get it resolved so i contacted Ashley in Kingsport to see if maybe they could tell me how i could contact someone here in America. Ask to speak to a manager and a lady answered and said hold on. Came back on ask what i needed told her then put me on hold again. Came back said manager would not come to the phone told her to tell me that they done got there money and was nothing they could do about it . Not very professional like in my opinion so nope they want be getting my business again. Furniture is a luxury not a necessity. Stay away from all Ashley stores including this one, for 2 months now I have been battling a warranty on my couch that they sold me for over $400. After this amount of time and saying they have no control their warranty department sent me fabric to fix my couch MYSELF which isn't even the full problem when the wood inside is broken. I returned a $120 lamp. The man was NOT going to give me a receipt until I demanded it. I said I will not leave the store with no acknowledgement of receipt. He printed out my purchase receipt and wrote returned but refused to sign it. He said "I'M NOT SIGNING IT!" He was extremely unprofessional BECAUSE I had a return. I have been a customer of Ashley furniture for a little over a year now. I sold everything I had and moved here from Oregon. Being new to the area, I chose Ashley Furniture. When I arrived I met Callie. I want to commend Callie for her customer service. This year with all the problems resulting from Covid, supply chain has been a real problem. I have spent nearly $20,000 this past few month and have had a wait on some items. I appreciate that Callie always bent over backwards to offer creative solutions or substitutions. I am grateful to her for all she has done to make our experience great. The items that were in the store on clearance were even loaded into my car! It's a great team all around at this store. I am loyal to Ashley but especially to Callie. She is an shining example of how we should treat each other. read more

Just got a great deal on a chair and ottoman here. We found the items we wanted on clearance, and management was willing to drop a small amount from that price. I feel confident that we got the best possible price for two quality pieces of furniture. We worked with Joshua, who was extremely helpful, and took us right to what we wanted. They're simply the best. They have great delivery you won't even have to lift a finger. You'll feel like a king, just point and the movers will place your purchase where you'd like. They will even haul away the trash and the old furniture. So if you have some old furniture and would like to replace give these guys a try. read more

I purchased a 12" mattress from Ashley online, and what I received is not as it was described. After nearly a week of decompression, the mattress measures about nine inches. I understand that Covid-19 has affected the way we shop, but I cannot get anyone to respond by phone, messenger, or email. So now, I have this sad, flaccid mattress that is already sagging and isn't fit to be a dog bed with no way to get it back to Ashley. I cannot replace it until I can get rid of it because I simply do not have the space to store a king size mattress. I have received twenty marketing emails since receiving the mattress, but there is no recourse if something is defective or just obviously different than what was promised, so avoid purchasing from Ashley until they can work something out. I will be reviewing this purchase on every site I can because it may be my only means of recourse. read more

Be Cautious buying! I purchased reclining sofa and loveseat set, paid over 2100.00. Waited 8 weeks for delivery. Now 3 month old loveseat is popping, sagging, and has broken spring in center back of recliner. Im a small person and rarely sit on it. I will not buy furniture there again! Terrible experience. Bought 6700.00 worth of furniture and only received 2 pieces. Every few weeks they would give us another date to expect the rest. We bought the furniture in March, were told 4 weeks, then were told delivery on May 26, then deliver on July 26. At that point, we decided to cancel. I used my debit card and their refund process is ridiculous. They have to send it to corporate who then has to run the refund. They took my money out of my account immediately upon purchase, but it is 8 days since I went to the store for the refund and STILL haven't received it. read more

One of the worst experiences buying anything! I purchased a recliner & 4 end tables several months ago. Of course, they had a sale going on at 1pm & we were there at 11am, but said they'd "give us the sale price anyway". Great, right? Not really. The salesperson seemed downtrodden & was nice, but you know how poop rolls downhill... They then informed me that it would be a couple of weeks max until delivery, as they were out of stock on the recliner & only had 2 of the tables at their delivery center in Gray, TN. I told them how important the delivery time was, so they knew & still carried on with the sale. I called Gray & they tell me it shows 1 recliner in stock, but when I call Gray again, before driving down, guess what? Someone else got their recliner, but we didn't get ours, or their inventory system sucks. I opted to pick up the 2 tables & wait for the recliner, which my husband needed quickly due to a knee replacement. We drive to Gray, where their inventory showed 2 tables in stock, but they found only find one. We take it. Fast forward almost 8 weeks!! We go into the store & the completely uninterested & nearly grouchy manager, looks into my situation, because at that time, I just wanted my money back. So sorry to bother you Winston, I guess you're not used to doing your job properly! Back & forth, a lot of time & aggravation on our end & no interest, no contact, no caring from the store. While waiting on my refund, guess what happens. I call Gray, who told me they did have my recliner & would deliver free due to all the problems. They delivered, but far, far later than we needed, expected or were told. We did get a refund on the last 3 tables. Btw, we went to another Ashley Store during this time, to see if we could find suitable replacements & those "clearance/special 1pm sale" tables were not actually on sale at all. The Kingsport store advertised the tables @ "sale price", which is actually the regular retail price. I would never, ever recommend this store to anyone. One salesman (the beaten down seeming one), called to offer to delivery my recliner on his day off, on his own time, which was very, very generous, but we declined. Unhappy employees come from terrible, uncaring and/or untrained management. I purchased the rest of my furniture from Furniture Row & cannot recommend them highly enough. We had a problem, they made it super easy to fix & went out of their way to fix it in a timely manner. That's what you expect when paying hundreds or thousands of dollars in any well run store! If there was a negative rating, Ashley in Kingsport would get a negative. Stay away people, they run sales that aren't actually on sale, try to sell you furniture that isn't in stock, then don't care if & when it is delivered. What a lousy way to treat customers & run a business!! read more

If you buy something from Ashley's furniture make sure you pick it up. Their delivery is the worst I have ever used. Had to take 2 days of work for 2 pieces of furniture I bought. They miss the time window they give you which you can't change and they call you 30 minutes prior to the arrival. It's now 15 minutes past the time window they gave me still no call. read more

Worst customer service from any business I have ever shopped. I bought two sofas and a couple of tables from them. I was supposed to have it delivered over a month ago and still have not received them. The store, delivery company or the corporate headquarters was willing to help get our items to us. Great experience with buying our furniture at Ashely. Josh was super helpful finding us exactly what we wanted. We got our master bed, couch, chair and a half and a power recliner. They told us exactly when to expect the furniture and pick up from the distribution center was fast and easy. The gentleman there were also helpful and friendly.
