DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY Worst experience with trying to return a faulty chair. I bought a chair and when i got it home 10 minutes later I unwrapped it to find that the base had been damaged and broke free of the particle board. I tried to return it to the store, they said they wouldn't take it and I had to file a ticket online. The site was down so I called and filed via text. I called back the next day to find out they never heard of me. Very rude customer service on the next call saying i have to pay 25% restocking fee and there is nothing i can do about it. Husband and I bought a $8400 6 piece couch set From Ashley's in red deer ab. We were assured repeatedly that it was highest quality and extremely durable. When time for delivery, 3 pieced didn't even make it off the truck. They were broken and or faulty. I was then left with half a couch set in my home. An hr after they left I noticed my one recliner made a clunking sound and the other 2 pieces, the stitching was already coming loose and the staples underneath were not holding. I called customer care only to be told too bad, it's already in your possession, we will send a tech. That was not acceptable to me as obviously the entire set was faulty to begin with. I called the store directly to be told by Brandon that he would order me a new recliner as it was making that clunking noise and because it hadn't even been removed from their manifest yet so he knew it was a fresh delivery. I also then asked to speak to the manager as this whole experience was awful. The manager just said over and over, that they would call a tech. When I explained that I was not ok with my $8400 furniture needing a tech not even 24 hrs after delivery and that Brandon told me a new one would be sent out, he proceeds to put Brandon on the phone only for him to deny up and down that he said that. I asked flat out so you are calling me a liar then? He said well I never said that so guess so. I asked to speak to Peter again (manager) to be told he didn't want to speak to me. I said well that's too bad put him back on the phone. Only to be given even more attitude and disrespect from him. He kept telling me nope, a tech, or I can pay a restocking fee. I was very clear on how this is not what I bought. Never once was I told that my brand new high end quality furniture wouod need a tech within the first 24 hrs! He finally said fine I'll request a whole new 6 piece. I said ok cool, how long will that take? He gets even more disrespectful and adds a very rude tone "I don't know!" Well isn't that your job to know? I said you do not understand the frustration here and he yells "omg!" And hangs up. Then proceeds to leave the building as he didn't want to speak to me again. I also continued to call customer care where I was told over and over that I have to pay a 25% restocking fee to get a refund. Agent told me my fee would be $408. I finally just agreed as I needed the rest of my money back. I said note that on my file and I will call you back. I call back and get another agent who told me that agent didn't do the math correctly and I have to pay $840 plus 10% on the 3 pieces that didn't enter my home. I said absolute not! They refused to honor what the first agent told me. I then called back to confirm it was being processed to be then told that I also know had to pay a $100 delivery fee!! Again said no! The guy kept cutting me off and being very rude! I am hoping someone higher up will see this and resolve this situation fully with me not having to pay anything! If anything, the original amount I was originally told! It seems like every agent is reading off a script as they have been trained to not help the customers like they are employed to do! Never ever will I shop there again and I will scream my story from the roof tops fo everyone read more

Buyer beware... Purchased an expensive sectional from this location. Within a month the fabric was showing wear/flaws. Thank goodness we bought the extended warranty....Maybe not. We immediately brought this to customer service's attention. They sent out a technician who brought all of the wrong products. Four months later another technician who also brought all the wrong products. Over another year later and yet another technician we still have nothing fixed and we are being told it's wear and tear and they will do nothing to help us. Worst customer service ever! Could not have made an easier sale for (Dennis) of the Red Deer store as I never even sat on the couch! Saw it online and phoned the store as we live over 2 hours away and wanted to pick it up. Was told we could purchase the couch through him (Dennis), and he would arrange with the Edmonton distribution center for us to pickup the following day. Was assured by phone and text the couch would be available for pickup the following day in Edmonton by Dennis. 3 hour drive the following day to the Edmonton distribution center and no couch available. Told it is locked up in the next door warehouse that they don't have access to??? I try to accommodate by saying I'll take the different colour version...locked up too! Distribution center says that maybe I can drive another 20mins to the 13932 137thAve NW location in Edmonton and try to find a couch that they actually have in stock in the warehouse. My wife and I drive another 20mins and talk to a sales associate that was informed of our situation from the store manager (Bow, who couldn't be bothered to look after the situation himself). After another 45min of trying comprable couches that are in stock at the Dist. center, we find a smaller couch that is 300$ more in cost. For all of my time, fuel, and stress, I ask the sales associate if they can just match the price as I feel I have already been more than accommodating. The store manager Bow, tells me that because the couch is already on sale, there is nothing they can do! I can drive 3 hours home, and come back another day (over 6 hours) and pick up the initial couch. For $300 dollars they lost the sale as I cancelled, and for $300 will write a review on every site possible to warn others of the CARING service that is shown by Ashley furniture management. read more

Quite a nice new store. I was not approached in the mattress section so can't comment on it other than they had about 20 beds. I was approached on my way out but won't name names. I was looking at getting a sofa set. I wasn't ready to buy right then as I admit I was just checking out the store. But my sales lady was very knowledgeable and friendly and apologized for my not being helped earlier. I got her card and emailed her the next day to provide measurements for the sofa and loveseat and maybe the sectional. I wasn't ready to buy the first day but if the measurements worked it was a done deal. Unfortunately no reply and as a sales manager I won't chase the seller. I wish them luck but follow up could definitely be better as she spent the time and earned and lost my business unfortunately. A shame as she was great. Nice store though! read more

I bought a Brown Leather Sofa and Loveseat, I explained to the sales lady that I had purchased a similar sofa and loveseat from Sims Furniture 5 years earlier and that the beautiful brown color had turned orange on the armrests and seats. I was very disappointed as it was a $3500.00 dollar set. She assured that this would not happen with this set as it was a superb quality set with removable cusions etc etc. Well here I am 5 years later with the exact same problem.....orange arm rests and seats. We have no kids just 2 adults living in the home and the leather is conditioned every 3 months. My friend bought a cheap set at the brick and low and behold.... no discoloration. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Ordered a couch, and dinning room set nov. 11th 2020. Was Told a delivery date of mid December. After mid december came and we heard nothing my wife called the store and was greeted by an angry customer service rep who mistoke her for someone else. After all that was sorted out we finally got a delivery date of Jan. 4th 2021. then the delivery date of jan 4th the delivery truck shows up with the table EXCEPT no base. so the sales rep never ordered the base in the first place ( i guess i should have double checked this but you would figure ashley furniture reps would be able to handle doing their job). This latest mishap on ashley furniture pushes the table delivery to jan 17th. Finally receive the table on the 17th. Still waiting on the couch at this point and was told we would be called as soon as it was in to book a delivery appointment. Feb 1st we still had not heard anything so we called in only to find out the couch has been sitting ready for delivery for a week, so we book a delivery date of feb. 5th (today) and the delivery truck broke down, so now i am being told of a feb. 17th delivery date. This is over 4 months since i purchased this couch. Ashley furniture does not care about their customers. At this point i heavily regret buying furniture from this store. would give 0/5 stars if possible. read more
