Nice store in the Atrium. The staff are friendly and there is a great selection of furniture and mattresses at great prices.

Project 9 for most people is where they make their wish list as they stroll though. You will find…read morevery high-end furniture in every shape, color and size. This is where you will sink into that awesome leather and know you are in luxury. I love the furniture here! For now , I can only love from the outside, it is the place to shop if you have the expense account to do so. You will be the envy of your friends if you shop here. The designs are very clean and sexy. Everything you would want in a piece of furniture, I can say , this furniture is a long term purchase. Enjoy!

Project 9 was one of my original home décor crushes when I lived nearby on South Park Street. I'd…read morepop in, ogle their expensive selection of condo-sized furniture, and then attempt to find it all elsewhere on a student budget. Of course, I never did. Today, it's still a nice shop in a great location on Dresden Row. The windows make for great lighting and make it easy for something to catch your eye as you stroll by. I do find it borders on overstuffed most of the time though. The front area is nicely staged, but once you walk through to the Queen Street side, you're usually dodging ottomans in order to take a peak. I haven't been nearly as excited with my recent visits simply because I find the styles haven't really updated much over the past few years and the staff haven't been all that welcoming. Still, it's a good spot to find furniture for the downtown condo lifestyle that you won't find at the warehouses.

I was lost, and then I was found…read more This is a special space of altered frocks, vintage finds, and a flavour of locally made. Eclectic musings come together to form Lost & Found's fashionably homemade North End boutique . The shop's mood is quiet and thoughtful, just as its clothes. Music is easy, and the store keeper sews away in a corner wooden chair. Piecing through the assorted racks, I become awe struck by the profuse selection of gorgeous things. Most times I am able to edit down final selections before the efforts of the fitting room; however, this was not the case. The clothing variety is of impeccable taste, as every item on display is hand picked, and/or altered with special detailing. And with such reasonable pricing-- it all seems too good to be true. (A large rack dedicated to post-season sales provides some gorgeous steals!) Clothing is displayed on thick wooden hangers, and well managed framework; the result is chic and polished confines. Divorce Records is an added bonus to the Lost & Found experience. Peek through this Halifax based label's selection for some stellar anti-industry music variety. Vinyl and CDs are for sale, and allow an opportunity to acquire new tastes, without commercial fluff. Also noteworthy: bin filled with $2 Vinyl picks. (Not Divorce Records) Besides glass encased jewelry and vintage frames, L&F is also decorated with DIY-styled trinkets and art. The space is fused with creative energy and wholesome goodness. I heart. My recent visit ended with the purchasing of a brilliant long sleeved crop top. With its subtle alterations-- front & back scoop neck with buttons, and adorable mini-shoulder pads + ruching-- its a dream piece. And only $18! The detailing of selections make for cool fits and one of a kind pieces. Lost & Found offers a creative and inspiring shopping experience, indeed. The carrier and creator of all things "special", this place is now top on my list.

Besides, I've heard that you're not supposed to wear stuff that you remember going by the first time around. So, dang it, no Mary Maxim sweaters for me.

Bed Bath & Beyond to me I though was a bathroom store but to my surprise when I walked in they had…read moreeverything. Yes the majority of the store focused on bathroom accessories, towels and shower curtains but as well they had bedroom duvet set, pictures everything. The Kitchen section was huge and great deals. Alot on sale and alot on clearance which was throughout the store randomly, it was great. I actually found those Yankee Car Sent things which are very hard to find and I got them three for $5.99. I really do like this store and can see myself going back for shower gifts or even presents for the girls as they have some really pretty things there. Picture frames are beautiful. It is hard to go into all these stores and not buy buy buy. Well I guess I need a house first that might be a start. Great Store!

If ever I fall into some terrible debt situation, it will not be because of the high price of…read moreeducation. No, it will be because I'm hopelessly addicted to home necessity stores like Bed Bath & Beyond. Like, seriously. I genuinely find it bewildering that the staff here don't instantly recognize me and let out a hushed, "Father's home..." as I walk in the door. I find myself in this store very often. Now, part of this is because I inherited a love for all things kitchen. Perhaps the greatest similarity between me and my mother is the fact that we both have an appliance or tool for pretty much any food thing you can think of. Need to crack and separate an egg at the same time, while keeping your hands clean? I've got you covered. Want to process a small amount of frozen banana slices to make ice cream? Use my mini food processor. (Use my regular food processor for larger batches.) Baking some cookies? Don't worry, I have enough Silpats for you to bake continuously for about five months. It should be obvious that a store like this is a clear danger to my bank account. Unfortunately, I have a car and no self-control. I should get to the actual review part of this: Come here if you're looking to get something for your home and don't mind paying a bit extra for it to not be Zellers quality. A dish rack at BBB, for example, can run between $18 and $80. (Which one do you think I own?) Come here if you're looking for some of the most random crap for your house that you had no idea was an absolute necessity. Like the cutting board that folds up a bit to make transferring chopped up veggies easier! Come here if you have some free time and love to fantasize about owning everything and how much better your life would be if you took the plunge and bought that $100 shower caddy. (THINK OF THE EXTRA SOAP SPACE!) Also, come here if you already went to Home Outfitters and they didn't have what you want. They're right across the street and you never know, right? Otherwise, just go to Wal-Mart or JYSK and be happy that you're saving a little bit of money. (Pro tip: Sign up for the newsletter and occasionally receive a coupon for 20% off one item.)
