We've already…read moreaccomplished more in one month with Gal than 1.5 years with another couples therapist we worked with many years ago. Gal is incredibly skilled at quickly getting to the heart of the core issues that are at play in the relationship and in each individual person. Once he identifies the underlying issue, he uses targeted somatic exercises to work with these issues in an incredibly focused and effective way. My husband and I are both scientists by training. Over the past 5-10 years I have been doing a lot of healing work that is working at deeper and deeper layers. I wanted to be able to connect with my husband in these deeper ways, but I was concerned about alienating him if we want to a therapist that seemed to "out there". Gal has been perfect for us, in that he is able to tailor his approach to connect with each person in a way that works for them. Gal is smart, articulate, and can meet you at the "head" level to clearly talk through issues and frameworks. Then he is able to go into the level of the heart, body, and spiritual realm, in a way that works for each person. My husband, the scientist who doesn't think of himself as an emotional person, connected with Gal right away. Gal earned his trust, and soon my husband was accessing parts of himself he hadn't accessed before. By the end of the second session, my husband said "you got me, I'm a believer", referring to the impact of somatic work. Gal uses simple somatic exercises in a targeted way to get right to the heart of your issues. He quickly identified the key issues in our relationship, and for each of us individual. We start each session talking, and then often move into simple somatic exercises - things like "stand facing each other hand to hand; one person push forward and say 'yes', which the other person pushes back and says 'no'". Starting from a simple exercise like this, Gal will attune to your emotional reactions and the dynamic between the two of you. He will adjust the exercise to work with and heal the dynamics. All of the exercises sound simple on paper, but the power is in how Gal uses them to attune to what is happening underneath the words in the core dynamic between you. Gal also uses parts of each session to work individually with each person, with the other person observing and lightly participating. This includes somatic exercises like the one above, and also includes bodywork on the table. There is something really beautiful and powerful about seeing your partner's vulnerabilities compassionately met and worked with be a skilled, deeply compassionate, and deeply present healer. It is beautiful to witness and be witnessed in your individual healing, as well as in your healing in relationship. I have trauma in my background, and Gal is deeply skilled at working with trauma. I trust him completely. Gal is the real deal. He has clearly done deep emotional, relational, and spiritual work himself, and he is deeply attuned to subtle dynamics in each person and between people. He is able to artfully intervene in ways that leave each person feeling seen and supported; and after he helps each person lower their defenses, he brings in the other to connect with them from a place of pure, simple love. I cannot thank Gal enough for the work we have done in such a short time. So far we have done two intensive in-person 4-hour sessions (!). Now we are moving to 2-hour sessions. We are getting so much done in each session that I'm guessing we won't need to meet for that long. I feel a level of hope and excitement for the growth of our marriage that I haven't felt in a long time. Thank you, Gal!

This is a review for the in-person Love Workshop that my husband and I took over the weekend. Even…read morewith all the five-star reviews, I was still a little apprehensive about whether we could last two full days talking about our relationship. I can tell you now that when it wrapped up, we were actually bummed it was over. We were fully engaged in every exercise and with each other the entire time -- and honestly wanted more. That said, it wasn't easy. Over the two days, we went through a real rollercoaster of emotions. We brought up some of our most "stuck" issues and had to sit in discomfort at times. There were vulnerable moments and hard conversations. But that's exactly what made it so powerful. The structure and facilitation created a space that felt safe enough to go there. Gal and Liron are an amazing couple and wonderful teachers. They brought their own real-life stories and struggles into the teaching, which made everything feel authentic and relatable. The way they designed and led the course made complex emotional dynamics feel simple and inviting to engage with. I was also worried that even if I stayed engaged, my husband might get tired or check out -- it's about nine hours each day after all. I'm happy to share that I was wrong. We both fully participated until the very last minute and walked away feeling inspired and closer than ever. We are especially thankful that we now have a much better mutual understanding of our triggers and why we may have sensitivities in certain areas -- many of which have more to do with our childhood experiences than with each other. It felt like we got to know each other as our 12-year-old selves... and fell in love with them too. We've been married 18 years and are looking forward to 40 more together. There were about 15 couples in the workshop, ranging from under five years to over 30+ years of marriage. It was incredibly helpful to hear their comments and questions throughout the weekend. I highly recommend this workshop for any couple -- whether you're feeling stuck or simply want to take your relationship to the next level. It truly meets you wherever you are, as long as you're both open and committed. They absolutely deliver on their promise, and we feel equipped with new tools to connect -- even around the most difficult issues. We're so grateful we said yes

Karlianne was successful in helping break my predetermined perception of therapy and therapist in general. The session was far more than I could've imagined, I felt comfortable before I could even realize it. Listen, if you're looking for a good therapist in San Francisco, I promise you can't do better than her. Period. End of story. She is both highly intelligent and emotionally intuitive, which basically means that she is ridiculously good at connecting all the dots you lay out for her. She's like the Sherlock of psychology. Things just click into place so quickly. You explain your problem, tell her a bit about where you're coming from, and she will get you like no therapist has ever gotten you before. At least, that's how I felt after every conversation with her. I felt seen, validated, justified, understood, and hopeful after our sessions. I not only started to see the path forward, I felt like I understood myself better, and as a result, could be much more compassionate towards myself. I know all too well how stupidly hard it is to find a good therapist, and how rarely people review their therapists, that's why I felt I had to write this review. So here are the key reasons I think Nicolle should be your next therapist: 1. You don't have to explain anything to her excessively. She is intelligent enough to read between the lines and see the patterns. 2. She is able to synthesize information in such a way that she can form an accurate psychological picture of you in her mind. She applies this information to various issues and sees the common thread. 3. She gives clear insights into your behavior and feelings, making you feel like you are getting to know yourself better. 4. She is very professional. I've had therapists in the past that looooved to talk about themselves and their personal lives during our sessions. Nicolle keeps it 100. 5. She asks lots of good questions. I HATE when therapists have me floundering through a 50 minute session on my own. I need direction. Guidance. I need someone to guide me with focused questions. 6. Maybe this is a California specific problem, but some of the people I've worked with in Cali like to tackle psychological problems with yoga, crystals, magic spirits, and the like. I was extremely relieved that Nicolle spent exactly zero time talking about auras or reincarnation. K, that's it from me. Best of luck y'all.
