I wanted to have some nice senior pictures done for my graduating high school senior. You know how you sometimes see gorgeous family photos on Facebook and would love to hire that photographer? Well, I private messaged and emailed one such photographer and she never even bothered to respond! Discouraged, I turned to my old friend Yelp, and Ashley Blake caught my eye. Great reviews, nice looking photos- and wouldn't you know, she responded within the hour. From that point on everything was wonderful. Ashley does a great job communicating with you. I paid a partial deposit and we worked out a meeting spot and photo location. Ashley comes prepared with all of her equipment, and an artistic eye for nice backdrops. Asking an 18 year old boy to pose for an hour is a tall order, but she's so friendly and chill my son complied! We had a rare cold snap the day before our appointment and Ashley gave me the choice to reschedule if I preferred. My husband is actually a professional photographer as well, but with an active toddler we decided to hire someone else to take our maternity and newborn photos this time around, and we picked Ashley! This is literally the first time we've paid someone else to take our photos since our wedding 13 years ago and we drove a 3h round trip to meet her each time! Ashley did an amazing job with our maternity photos. They turned out beautiful with great natural lighting. She worked so well with us and with our daughter and got wonderful images. We were equally excited to work with her again when our son was born for his newborn photos. Again, she did a wonderful job with our toddler and the whole family! She was particularly great and gentle with our newborn, wrapping him and posing him while helping keep him asleep. We have really enjoyed working with Ashley. Ashley is fantastic! She was the photographer at a holiday event I went to last year. I really wanted a photographer for my gender reveal party and I was unable to find someone in such short notice so I thought I would just try asking Ashley. She was kind enough to squeeze me in-between appointments. I later noticed I happen to have her business bookmarked on Yelp from weeks before! I want to begin by thanking my fellow Yelpers for such detailed reviews! This is how I found and selected Ashley Blake Photography! My parents celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this last October - I wanted to capture the magic with a special family photo session. Digital photographers in Arizona are a dime-a-dozen. The trick is to find a creative soul, that produces artistic images, which stand the test of multiple generations yet to come. I have a sentimental and romantic streak in me; I sought to joyfully commemorate and give my parents lasting memories of the event. It was also the PERFECT time to take family photos! Initially I emailed 15 other photographers; Ashley was the FIRST to reply, within about 20-25 mins! I looked at her website, read her biography, then viewed the photo galleries. I respected her training and dug her vibe. After Ashley and I talked, I happily offered to pay her a decent deposit. I personally believe in paying deposits because 1) It shows you're serious and 2) Gives the vendor some "working capital" to put toward your project/event. (People that don't like paying deposits, in my opinion, tend to be flaky, not at all serious and inconsiderate). Ashley is REALLY easy to work with - you can tell she LOVES what she does! I sent her some ideas with regard to poses I wanted; she appreciated them. Ashley took my ideas, gave some input the day of the session, and it all worked marvelously! Her rates are fair, and she makes it easy to distribute the photos when they are ready. We had to reschedule the event and photo session, which Ashley did with no problem. When we met Ashley in person at the event, she was as gracious as she sounds on the phone! My mom has mobility issues - Ashley was very patient and kind - giving her all the time she needed to move around. When we received the photos, we were amazed and thoroughly satisfied! I told Ashley that she is our new family photographer!!! I wholeheartedly recommend and award Ashley Blake Photography a solid 5 stars!!! P.S. The ability to freeze time, through images taken at one point in history, and have them reach hundreds of years forward is awe-inspiring! It's like leaving a piece of your soul, your total being, for time and memoriam. Don't believe me? Go into a Cracker Barrel, Red Robbin or any other restaurant that posts original, older photos on their walls for decoration. YES! Each time you look at them, that's a window into the lives long passed! You can see how people lived, loved and laughed! Granted, some of the old timers don't look happy, but keep in mind they didn't want to show their teeth in the old days. (Dental work and orthodontics not being widely available or affordable 'in them days). Still, it is fun to look at the pictures and see how people evolved. read more

My daughter wanted to feel like a princess for her 16th Birthday and i new i needed a good photographer to capture her image. Ashley did a fantastic job. She was kind, patient, friendly and made my daughter feel comfortable. She was easy to work with in choosing a location, gave posing ideas and does great photo editing as well. If someone is in the background of your photo, she can edit them out! She now has a beautiful new studio with nice props and backgrounds so you can do indoor or outdoor photos with Ashley. read more

WOW!!! I cannot express how happy we are with Ashley and the entire process for our newborn baby boy. We almost did the photos at the hospital that they offer but we are so glad that we chose to use Ashley instead. We found her simply by looking around online and happened to come across her company on Yelp. We loved the website so we reached out to find out some pricing, etc. Ashley responded to us so fast and has been a dream to communicate with throughout the process. We scheduled our photo shoot and showed up to her studio and were impressed right away. She has a ton of props and has everything setup very nice and professional and she immediately took our little guy and had him all wrapped up and cozy and looking so adorable we were just so happy! We even brought some of our own props we wanted to use and she was very willing to incorporate them into the shoot as well. After we were all done she let us know we would be getting a gallery to pick our images from. Before we got that, she sent us a few photos as teasers and we were completely blown away!!!! Believe the hype! Ashley is a skilled photographer with the patience of a saint. We brought in our 2.5 year old for a family holiday photo shoot and of course he wanted to have none of it, I was feeling flustered and overwhelmed but Ashley made me feel comfortable and relaxed and it took some finagling but we ended up with truly gorgeous holiday photos; she was tenacious about getting great shots and we are positively pleased about the results. Also, it is worth noting that, for the holidays being as busy as they are, her turn around time on photo edits was spectacular. From photo shoot to Christmas card was 6 days (4 business days). For the price, I think Ashley offers the best value for what you get. I have used other photographers who usually charge more and the photos weren't as impressive as Ashley's. Somehow, she makes us all look like supermodels! She has a rare gift and it shows in all her pictures. What seems like a normal, boring shot always turns out to be incredible and jaw-dropping. We have used Ashley for a couple shoots so far and have been blown away by her talent and we haven't seen a photo we didn't like. That is really the hardest part, narrowing down the pics you want to keep. You'll end up wanting them all.
