I can't recommend Ashleigh Taylor Photography highly enough! Over the years, Ashleigh has photographed me multiple times, and every single time I walk away in awe. As a fellow photographer, I'll admit--I'm very particular about how I'm captured. But Ashleigh has a rare gift: she sees people in their best light, both literally and figuratively. She brings out an effortless confidence in me, and somehow always manages to capture images that feel both editorial and deeply personal. There's a magic to her work--an authenticity and beauty that shines through in every frame. Her eye is impeccable, her direction is gentle yet clear, and her editing style is elegant without ever feeling overdone. I trust her completely and feel so lucky to have been in front of her lens over the years. If you're looking for someone who can truly see you and bring out your best, Ashleigh is it. read more

Working with Ashleigh was an incredible experience from start to finish. As a dancer, I wanted images that truly captured my movement, strength, and artistry-- and Ashleigh delivered beyond my expectations. She made me feel comfortable and seen throughout the shoot, and the final portraits were not only perfect for my dance portfolio but even went on to win photo awards! I'm so grateful for her eye, her direction, and the way she brings out the best in every subject! read more

I just finished choosing the photos that I like most, and there are over 125 of them in my "favorites" album... not including all the B roll and backstage video clips. 125. 125!!! That is unreal. Normally I get 5 good photos from a shoot -- if I'm lucky. I'll be back very soon for sure, though it's going to take me some time to use all these amazing photos. The investment/value ratio is super high with Ashleigh Taylor Portrait and I had such a great time working with her. Highly, highly recommended. read more

Absolutely a wonderful experience. The finished photographs were beyond my wildest expectations. Ashley is a magician, who produces stunning, professional results. I came across Ashley's photos thru a friend's Facebook post of her "50 over 50 project" session. Ashley graciously agreed to also include me in this project. Initially, I was worried about feeling awkward, self conscious and well.... just not photogenic, not pretty enough - but I went ahead despite my personal misgivings. So very happy I did. The experience was relaxing and fun - just like hanging out with your best friend who happens to be wielding a camera and having you do some unusual posing. I really appreciated that she thoroughly communicated the complete process, costs, available packages and timeline. I ended up choosing a stunning (made in Italy!) portrait on canvas box filled with art quality matted photos of my session. I'd will definitely book another session in the future with my mother, sisters and daughters. read more

Hands down, this was the best experience with a photographer I've ever had! Ashley takes the time to get to know you and build a rapport with you before the actual photo shoot. Ashleigh is a stellar photographer and has a knack for taking the awkwardness out of posing. I went to her to get some professional headshots for my business, and once I got the proofs, I had to do a poll with my friends to find the right one because all of the options were that good. She knows how to make you feel comfortable, and she's fabulous with both lighting and retouching that makes you look like YOU, but just a little more polished. 10/10 recommend! read more

After several years, I finally fulfilled a bucket-list item of having a professional photo shoot. I stumbled upon Ashleigh Taylor Portrait's over-50 hair/make-up/photography package on social media and decided to go for it. The entire experience was more than I could have dreamed of, from the very first phone call with Ashleigh to the big "reveal" of fabulous photos. Besides the fact that Ashleigh is absolutely adorable and a bundle of sparkling energy, the "makeover" was wonderful and the photo session itself was such a blast. She made it easy, fun and effortless on my part...all I had to do was change outfits! She did the rest, guiding me on how to pose, and using all the right angles, lighting and shadows. Then came the big reveal...OMG the photos!!! I cannot express in words how amazing they turned out. You can imagine at 63 years old, most days I look in the mirror a bit disappointingly. But any time that gets the best of me...and it happens all too often...I revisit those photos and immediately see beauty that I could never have imagined possible. Thank you Ashleigh for being a master of your craft and giving this old gal something to treasure, be proud of and feel so good about. You are amazing!!! read more

I have modeled of and on since I was 19 and have had many experiences with many different photographers. My most recent set of photos I have shared on IG and the photographer behind these images has been a gift to my sense of self and self-worth. @ashleightaylor does SO much more than take your portrait. She see YOU through her lens. She sees beyond your dialog and captures an essence, a truth, a brings something else to light. I have shot with her 3 times on her studio and I have to say, I am addicted to the experience. I love driving to Santa Barbara with little butterflies in my stomach filled with excitement to enter her studio which is like a miniature costume Fox studio closet. I usually have an image of what I hope I could look like which ALWAYS turns out better than I could imagine. One thing I love more than anything is the feeling I have when I leave. I guess it could be described as confident, but it is something humbling that gives me hope. . . There are amazing photographers everywhere, but in my experience, there are only a chosen few that can give you an experience beyond the lens, beyond the photo. I love you Ash. You are a constant in my life no matter how much time flows in between the next time we see each other. read more

Ashleigh has this natural way of making you feel comfortable, relaxed, pretty & handsome. Right from the get-go, she calmed our nerves and directed us with ease. We immediately felt her caring spirit, joyful personality & true love for her craft. Ashleigh is the easiest person to talk to. She's a woman with many ideas and suggestions. When we first spoke to her, we weren't sure where we wanted to elope. She offered us a ton of suggestions on locations, vendors and prop ideas. She is really helpful. What more could we ask for? Our portraits are stunning! Thank you Ashleigh. You captured who we are and produced more than we could have ever imagined. We had so much FUN! I cannot say enough positive things about Ashleigh. What matters most is the product she produces. I have not liked a photo of myself in years. I LOVE my new headshot she took of me and, it is a front forward photo, which I have usually shied away from. I feel like I look confident and approachable. And I loved about 8 of the ones in my proof sheet! This is all a testament to her skill. Ashleigh also has a happy, friendly personality that really put me at ease in her studio. She did headshots for nine people on my team, ranging in age from late 20s to early 70s, and they are all really great. Thank you, Ashleigh! You are amazing. read more

Ashleigh is amazing!!! The photos came out beautiful but more than that Ashleigh creates a wonderful and unique experience! She went above and beyond to make sure I felt beautiful and was happy/having fun at the shoot. Her passion for making women feel beautiful inside and out truly shines through during the shoot. She created such a special day that every woman deserves to have. 100000% recommend :) read more

My wife and I "won" a silent auction at a charity that was a photo shoot with Ashleigh. Little did we realize that what we actually purchased was the opportunity to have our picture taken, then if we actually wanted any of the pictures, we had to pay hundreds of dollars per image. I was furious to learn that her idea of "donating to charity" was in fact a money making opportunity that was never explained in advance. The pictures were beautiful, the photo shoot was fun and enjoyable, then I left feeling so taken advantage of. Be sure you know what you're getting involved in before you engage in business here. read more

Ashleigh is a terrific photographer and does amazing work! I look forward to using her during the upcoming holiday season with my family!

I really don't know where to begin...Ashleigh is truly an amazing person. I did a boudoir session in April before my wedding and I was hesitant at first but it was the best thing I've ever done for myself. I'm not comfortable in front of the camera and Ashleigh took care of those insecurities almost immediately. She is funny, sensitive, in control and has an incredible talent. The photos turned out amazing and my husband was pleasantly surprised the day of the wedding. I highly recommend this beautiful lady. I look forward to doing a mother/daughter photo shoot with my girls. Thank you Ashleigh for being you and for teaching me that beauty is within and age is just a number. XOXO - Marisol read more

I recently had a photo session with @ashleightaylorportrait for her '50 over 50' project. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She embodies the perfect combination between total professionalism and just having fun with your best friend. Her communication and pre-preparation prior to the shoot gives you total confidence in what to expect which eliminates any stress and pressure. Before the shoot, her hair and makeup stylist really works her magic making you look so pretty. Then during the shoot, Ashleigh's innate talent to envision your best poses and wearing your most flattering clothing is incredible to experience! I did a boudoir session in March with Ashleigh just a few weeks before my wedding. I was referred to her by my girlfriend who did the same session and her pictures were amazing!! I thought it would be such a great idea as a wedding gift for my (now) husband! Ashleigh was so fun and extremely professional. Her pictures of me turned out so great and I was extremely happy with the results. Paige, who did my hair and makeup, was amazing too and made me look like a movie star/model!! I loved working with Ashleigh (Paige too) and she was even able to get the photo book to me in time for my wedding day to give to my hubby. He absolutely loved the book and couldn't believe I was able to surprise him like that!!! It was such a great experience and I highly recommend Ashleigh to do the job!! read more

We hired Ashleigh for our wedding photography in May of 2012. She was super professional and does AMAZING work. From our engagement shoot to the day of the wedding, she was on top of her game making sure to capture every important moment. She is very talented and creative with her shots and she also has a great sense of time and organization when it came to all the formal shots, it went very smoothly. She has a super bubbly personality and is super easy to get along with, you can tell she is really passionate about her work. After the wedding she had a VERY quick turn around and posted a gallery of best photos after just a couple days! This was a cool surprise as we were able to browse through some of the pictures while on our honeymoon. We were also very happy that she gave us a CD with all of the original photos, that way we could print as many as we wanted later on and have perfect digital archives to keep for the rest of our lives. We are very happy we chose Ashleigh as our photographer and we would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone! I mean just look at her website portfolio! It speaks for itself! read more

Ashleigh photographed our wedding last year, and I couldn't be happier with the results! She is talented, professional, and personable, even getting my angsty brother and young cousins to smile for pictures. She has a great eye and great ideas for locations, poses, etc. to get gorgeous photos. She also had great suggestions for family photos, makeup, timelines, and more -- she's clearly a pro and can draw on a wealth of experience to help answer any questions or concerns you have. Her presence definitely helped me feel calm and happy while taking photos and in the end, having her around during the wedding felt more like having a friend around than a vendor. We highly recommend Ashleigh! read more

Ashleigh was the best decision made when it came to my wedding in August 2012. I booked her on the spot and never looked back. She is totally on top of the latest trends and well as timeless style; she is professional, put together and a joy to be around. Choosing Ashleigh as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our first conversation with her, to her sending us the links to all of our wedding photos - her passion and love for her job and clients came through. She was great to work with - responsive, kind, funny, and made you feel comfortable, and most importantly INCREDIBLY talented. From the moment we started our engagement session, I knew we had made the right decision and I can't express how much I love both our engagement and wedding photos. She listens to what kind of photos you want, and also provides great direction and instructions and ensures that your wedding day moves along as planned. She was truly a joy to work with and the results of her work are spectacular. We couldn't be happier with our photos and have received so many compliments about the quality of our photographer. Thank you Ashleigh, it was truly a pleasure working with you! read more

Ashleigh was a fantastic photographer in so many ways. She had a fun personality, trendy photography style, professional manner and incredible talent. Our favorite part about Ashleigh though would have to be her passion for what she does, she went above and beyond to capture every event and moment along the journey from proposal to marriage. She did an awesome engagement shoot for us, photographed our engagement party and then of course the big day ;) I would recommend providing a shot list the week or two before the day of and getting her for more than 6 hours because it gets so hectic with everything going on that you can't even think straight let alone think of the family shots that needed to be positioned and I am sure that would cut down on the stress. That way, you can let Ash do the coordinating of shots while you just go where she says. Overall, we were very satisfied with our choice of photographer, she was just what we were looking for and fit our budget to boot! Can't wait til the next event... Ash will forever be our family photog ;) read more
