We hired Whitney and her assistant to photograph our wedding last month, and we were so happy with their service and the beautiful photos we got! From the beginning, her communication was always prompt and clear, and she was happy to answer any questions. We met in person before I hired her, and I was impressed with her warm and relaxed demeanor. She worked with our budget and traveled down to Orange County for our wedding, which was awesome. Whitney was definitely a stellar value - of the photographers whose work I actually liked, she was one of the most inexpensive. On the wedding day, she arrived promptly to the hotel to take pictures of us getting ready. My bridesmaids remarked on how calm and sweet she was. I definitely appreciated this - I'm sure everyone wants something different, but I'm certainly glad that I didn't have an overbearing, loud, and commanding photographer. She blended into the background yet stepped up every now and then to guide us through some poses. She somehow managed to be everywhere she needed to be and captured all the moments we wanted without me telling her. We got our gallery and USB of photos right on time, just 4 weeks after the wedding. The photos are gorgeous with beautiful colors and natural light. She caught lots of great candid moments and natural expressions, which I loved. The posed pictures were mostly really cute too, though some looked too forced (I will take the blame for that... I'm not used to having so many pics taken of me!). Overall, we were thrilled with Whitney and will always be grateful for how well she captured our special day. read more

I can't say enough good things about Whitney. She is the sweetest and also had a great eye. I am not fond of getting my picture taken. When my fiance (now wife) and I were choosing photographers for our wedding, I dreaded the day when we would have to hug trees and stare into each other's eyes. I love my wife's eyes, don't get me wrong, I would stare into them all day long. The thought of posing and being directed in order to generate chemistry for the camera just seemed fake and I didn't want to do it. Luckily, my wife's tireless research led us to Whitney Turner. When she showed me her body of work I was, of course impressed. The pictures were professional and it was clear that the person behind the glass knew what she was doing. There was an intimacy to her photos which attracted us, but her originality is what caught my eye. At this point, we had waded through seas of samples from other photographers and they seemed to all resort to the same generic playbook. The rings are in focus and they are kissing in the background. Yay. She is in the foreground and he is inexplicably ten feet behind her as they both look off into the distance. What? The bride and groom kissing while holding up a picture frame. Meh. Whitney's photos felt so natural. It felt like the bride and groom were allowed to be themselves, no offense to those of us who like to hold up picture frames and kiss. When the time came for our engagement shoot, it felt exactly how it looked. Whitney was very personable and helped us to relax and be ourselves. The experience felt surprisingly natural and we weren't forced into awkward poses or forced affection. When we got the pictures back we knew we had made the right choice. Whitney knows how to make you look good. The shots were amazing, but not at the cost of us not being ourselves. When the wedding came around it was more of the same. Our pictures feel like us and we are so grateful that we found a photographer who can do that. We have used Whitney a total of 8 times. She has taken photos of our two sons and our family and after the shoot my wife checks her email for previews literally 100 times a day because we are so excited to see what she has captured. Her prices are terrific, her product is phenomenal, and the entire process will feel easy. We can't recommend her enough and even if you are the "hold a picture frame up and kiss in it" type of couple, I'm sure she can oblige. read more
