Small but mighty and packed full of shoppes, coffee shops and eateries from one entrance to the other. Vendor stalls line the middle of the space and while they are revolving, they usually feature art, souvenirs, clothing etc. The space itself is very historic and has been in use in this capacity for a very long time. The architecture of the building is gorgeous and screams old world Ireland. While wandering around Dublin, we made sure to walk through George's Arcade. We grabbed a small piece of art from one of the vendors and a chocolate treat from another. It was certainly time well spent! Overall, great little market worth a venture through if for nothing more than saying you did it!

We were momentarily tempted to try the Chinese restaurant upstairs but thought better of it. Restrooms are also located on the uppermost level. Not super bustling, seemed to be going the way of most malls. One of the chemists also has lovely gift things. It has a zumo in case you're doing your shopping a little hungover and sometimes there's a health-food/nut stall at the door. There's also a hairdressers. Merrion Centre covers all the bases and all of the "just-in-case" things that might occur to you that you need while doing your weekly shop. Parkings free with a maximum stay of 2 hours.

The decor is very old, non frivalous, however the shopping centre does have a good Dunnes Stores Department store serving the needs of the local area. It has a large food department, clothes too but unfortunately the home department is very small. Other shops that are in the shopping centre is O2, a few butchers and numerous 2euro shops.
