Ashland Yoga Center - The area around the studio is beautiful and there is plenty of free street parking

Some of my favorite classes are Vanessa's 9am-10:30 Saturday morning flow class, Manpreet's 9am-10:30 Kundalini yoga class, and Carlos's 9am Monday morning Flow yoga class as well as Carlos's Wednesday evening 5:30pm Yin classes. The studio owner Natalie is also a great teacher, as well. The studio has a nice bright energy, and the people who come to the classes are friendly and welcoming to new people. In addition to yoga, there are also often sound baths on certain weekends held during full moons and other celestial events. Those are excellent! Definitely recommend checking one out for deep relaxation. Other offerings I've checked out and enjoyed include a Tai Chi class Carlos taught as well as some yoga workshops and teacher training. They also offer retreats to Italy, Portugal, and more. I highly recommend this studio and the people running it and teaching here. Sign up for classes in advance on their website. There are props and mats you can borrow, and there is free street parking.

He is deeply knowledgeable not only about yoga but movement in its many forms including tai chi. I appreciate detailed explanations of poses and muscle groups and how they impact the body. Carlos, and the other instructors at AYC, are very good at this. Perhaps having a yoga center that offers a teacher training program attracts highly skilled and effective instructors.

I picked the largest pine cones, hidden in hubby's hoodie (I didn't have a bag), to experiment on. The Magnolia tree greeted us, as we entered the park, was in full bloom. I think it's scented, too! My favorite about this park, was the playground. I spent more time swinging with the youngest grandson, and watching him and his 8 years old playmate (friends since toddlers), and walking around to the nearest creek & bridge. If it wasn't feeling like about to rain, we could have stayed much longer! Oh, they also have to drive back to Portland, today, so off they go, and we stayed longer.

We were wrapping up a Thanksgiving weekend at the time of our visit so leaves have fallen and they may have experienced some rain. It wasn't too chilly, the sun was out and so were the locals (and visitors like us). Lithia Park is a historic park and has combinations of woodland, ponds, gardens, and gorgeous Italian-style fountains. It's no wonder the park has been named the Crown Jewel of Ashland. The park is huge! Lithia Park is located in a lush forested area and also has hiking trails but we didn't go that far. Wow, and I didn't know this but, the park is also a source of Lithia Mineral Water. The park was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Review #3266

Yet, when he attempts to give you the tools, and to bring up what you need to work on, he is terrible. He seems very much incompetent at what he does. He is rude, he has a foul mouth (falls under the category of rude), he has kadywompus ideas, he does not seem to grasp concept of simple aspects of human mind. For instance, Nando did not know what a cognitive distortion was, he had been so certain that he defined it right when he had not had even a slight grasp on what it was. Strange. I later found this out and brought it up to him, no response on that though. He is very reckless when dealing with something as fragile as the human brain.Which is nothing to play around with, for sure. He also is horrible at conducting business, he does not seem very meticulous with scheduling by any means. I had arrived on time, he had a flaw in scheduling, (which he had said was impossible because he NEVER messed up and was serious) and seemed to be irritated at me for arriving late and had given me a lecture on punctuality and seemed to be angry though insisting that he had never gotten angry. I am sorry, I am not grading him harshly he is not doing good by humanity with the way that he goes about counseling, it just is not his thing. With the way he was with me I do not even think that his Tai Chi coaching is something he should be in, because he says some very cutting remarks. All and all, really unprofessional I would not suggest him to my worst enemy and that is the honest truth. Do not go to him, good thing he does not counsel children. When I had left his business I felt more like crap then when I came in, because he made me very self-conscious. Take my word for it, not a very nice man.
