The singing and the acting was very good for a small theater in Roseville. They are very talented. On the way out I seen that they have more plays coming like a SpongeBob musical .I would definitely want to come back with my other son and my husband to check it out. The only real complaint was that the performance was supposed to be at the outside theater and so we bought chairs and brought them for this show... but as soon as we arrived at the outdoor theater, there was a small sign telling us it had been moved indoors. Back to the car (there was 7 of us) hauling our chairs to put them back then to walk down the street. Now we don't mind that it was moved inside because it was literally 105 outside and we wondering how the performance was going to go.......the complaint is that the theater people who we bought the tickets through should have emailed people who bought tickets to let them know ahead of time. We wouldn't have bought or brought chairs. That being said, again, great show.

They meet every dancer where they are at and make them better. We have only Dance albeit briefly at one other studio, but the amount of rehearsal time prior to the studios "It's Showtime" production in the spring is incomparable for a non-competitive studio and it shows! Such a professional production! My little dancers really fee like stars. The only thing that drives me crazy is that in May the usual dance schedule gets thrown out the window and a new schedule is implemented and it can conflict with other commitments. It's a pain, but it really is worth it in the end.

For shows, they are paired up with buddies who can walk them through the process or send them encouraging notes, etc. they focus on character development, and how kids learn what I would consider to be important qualities, such as discipline, resilience, kindness, etc. Even the parents get to join in on the fun, as parent involvement/volunteering is required for shows. I've really enjoyed connecting with other theater moms and dads and working together on parent teams. I also like that parents are not involved in the classes. That means if your kid wants to do theater and you don't have the time to volunteer, you still have options for them. The teachers are passionate and highly capable. From what I've seen, they are immensely talented in their own fields. Each time one of my children takes a class, they definitely come away knowing more than they went in knowing, and it shows in their performances. Our oldest child has been involved with CYT over the past couple of years, and we have seen great growth in her singing and dance abilities, as well as her drive and work-ethic. We're definitely excited to introduce the siblings to CYT.

The teachers are excellent and go out of their way to get to know the students and work with them as individuals. For kids more serious about dance or musical theatre, the troupes and companies enable them to get more specialized instruction, as well as several performance opportunities during the year. On a couple of occasions we traveled and performed in the Choreographers festival in Palm Desert, California, where many of the top programs are invited each year. Highly recommend.

The center focuses on developing the dancers beyond technical skills. With COVID-19 forcing the owners to downsize, the operation is now down to two dance studios/rooms. They're requiring masks and the use of hand sanitizer as you enter/exit. Both studios are cleaned between classes and the floors have markings for dancers to maintain distancing throughout classes.
