Before being seen, evaluated, examined - she wanted to schedule me for a root canal. After explaining I wanted a consultation first to determine what the issue was, she sounded flustered and angry. I made my appointment and was told I would be called the day before to receive out-of-pocket estimates. I called two days before and a different person answered. When I asked for my cost estimate she said they were short staffed and wouldn't be able to provide me an estimate until after speaking to the insurance company which may not be until the day I'm seen. I tried to sound pleasant and asked if she could give me an educated guess and she said $90 to be seen but that doesn't include any images or any other types of tests they might have to do to determine the cause of my tooth sensitivity. After reading the previous reviews, I'm hoping to find another endodontist since I still have the issue with my tooth.

One year after that procedure, my molar died during the holiday season of 2023. I was referred to VJ by my current dentist and I am so glad I ended up there. VJ is incredibly fastidious and meticulous. He takes ample time with you before the procedure to ensure you are comfortable with him and his expertise. He makes you feel like you are a family member or close friend he cares about. His entire methodology is based of excellence and you can tell that is what he strives for. I suffer from debilitating TMD and was concerned my jaw wouldn't allow for his tools to reach the infected tooth and that my jaw wouldn't hold up for the duration of the procedure. VJ put my concerns to rest and was extremely encouraging throughout the procedure. He reassured me my mouth was opened enough and that he had plenty of space to get his tools in where he needed them to be. After the procedure, he sat and spoke with me for a while. He wanted to make sure I was doing okay and took his time post-procedure. He really made a procedure no one ever wants done a very simple and pain free experience. I've since recommended VJ to others in need and I will continue to do so.

Honestly, I was treated with respect & care from the moment I arrived until they were done. Dr. N discussed best & worst case scenarios during my pre-op visit last month, so there were no surprises and she kept to the best case plan. I experienced little to no pain! She was able to work through the existing crown & bridge, saved the tooth, and accomplished everything in one visit. I've had a couple of root canals, and this one was the best experience to date. So much so I fell asleep on her ;-) The staff is top notch, caring, and compassionate. They even offer neck &/or knee pillows for your comfort. Root canals aren't for everyone - but Dr. Nguyen is!

I've opted for sedation mostly for my visits . For this recent visit however, I was not prepared . I was so pleased with the outcome. I did not feel any pain and doctor was great at calming my nerves . He explained everything and answered my questions. The assistant was also great and her and I chatted before my procedure which also helped me calm my nerves. I was also late for this appointment by a lot and they kindly still took me in .
