I'd like to start by saying that every time up to our last service, we have gotten pretty decent…read moreservice and the work was explained as well as the cost was upfront. Now, fast forward to 2 days ago. I called on a Saturday afternoon after I noted my compressor freezing up. We discovered in April that we had a small leak that was barely reading on a sniffer unit. I expected the technician to come fill up the freon, charge us for that and an hour of labor. He shows up, instantly starts pressuring us to replace our entire unit( estimates from 8.8k to 17k for a 2100sqft house) and after looking around, hits us with a 403.00 bill. Now we have a monthly service package that supposedly removes the "service call" charge from the bill. We were charged 148.00 for freon at 78.00 per pound and the rest was "tech fees".....260.00 per hour, folks.....all paid before work was even done. 24 hours later, my compressor is frozen up again but they showed no evidence of a leak. As soon as I point it out, they start again with trying to sell me a whole unit. Nothing suspicious here at all. We wont be using them again.

I would not recommend this plumbing company based on my experience. They came to my home to light a…read morebrand new water heater, and during the service, water leaked from an supply line and entered my attic and hallway ceiling. I was told that the leak occurred because the line was not capped. I was also quoted a service fee of $145, but I was ultimately charged $197, which added to my frustration with the overall experience. After the incident, I had visible water damage to my hallway ceiling, and water came through a recessed light that is now no longer functioning. Edrick stated that there was no water damage in the attic because the insulation had caught the water and they wiped everything dry. However, the visible damage to my ceiling and the fact that the recessed light stopped working after the water intrusion were concerning. I also had concerns about the service itself. Based on the events that occurred and Joshua's interactions with Edrick, I did not feel that Joshua demonstrated the level of experience or confidence I would expect from someone performing plumbing work in my home. What was even more disappointing was the response from management and customer service. I spoke with Joy, a representative, and Zack, the plumbing manager. Both came across as defensive when I brought the incident and resulting damage to their attention. Rather than feeling like my concerns were being taken seriously, I felt as though the focus was on defending the company's actions instead of addressing the damage and finding a resolution. I also requested the company's commercial general liability insurance information so that the property damage could be properly reported, but that information was not provided, refused in fact. Accidents can happen, but how a company responds when something goes wrong says a lot about the company. Unfortunately, the customer service or lack thereof that I experienced was extremely disappointing. In my opinion, that ultimately reflects management and trickles down to the staff. I expected better communication, accountability, and customer service. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I am not a native of the ACA service area, so I had to start from scratch when the problem with a…read morewater heater occurred. After calling several companies where I got no response, or a maybe I can come in two days response, I called ACA. The lady that I spoke to was very accommodating and knowledgeable. She told me a technician would contact me. And just a few moments later, I did get a phone call from a technician who asked me pertinent questions and obviously knew what he was talking about. The technician worked with me and met me at a time that I could get away from work. He showed up exactly when he promised. Being that he was very knowledgeable, he had the issue resolved in record time. The charges were extremely reasonable, especially considering that this was done on a day of very inclement weather when most companies were considering it an emergency only day. In short, in the future, I will not hesitate to call them for any plumbing needs that I may have.

He asked if I could pay him. Since I had hired him before with no problems I agreed to pay him. That was mistake because he never returned to finish the job. After checking on online I found that this was not the first time he's done that.

Recently the AC unit went out at the home of my two elderly [80 and 84] sisters-in-law in Grand…read moreCane LA. It was late in the evening, they were hot, flustered, and anxious. They called Southern Air out of Shreveport. At least one person came out that night and told them the unit was badly damaged by an electrical fire and needed to be replaced. One sister-in-law then called my wife and I to see if we would co-sign for a five-year interest free loan amounting to $16,000.00 to cover the work. There was also a manager type person on the phone that we talked to who had checked their credit the result of which required a co-signature from someone with a better score. We were surprised at the amount of $16,000 for an AC unit plus labor in a mobile home, it seemed suspiciously high to us. When inquiring about a cheaper option we could not get a clear response except it would all cost the same in the end, emphasizing this loan was a special promotion and to take advantage of it. We felt the exchanges we had with the Southern Air folks at the house was more like talking to high-pressure salespeople anxious to close a deal than exploring any other options. We declined their services. My sisters- in-law toughed it out overnight and another HVAC company called Atlas came out the next morning. They said there was considerable damage from the fire but repairable. They did repair the unit back into service for a total of $659.00. So, the moral of the story is - "let the buyer beware." When customers are desperate for a solution they are vulnerable to exploitation, especially the elderly. It also sadly speaks to wide variation of integrity and honesty between companies.

Please his spouts his "the Lord has blessed me...."as he rips you off. Gave a quote for a new AC and it worked out to about $4000 in labor to install. If I wanted this kind of price gouging then I would've used Southern Air. They're ripoffs too but at least they let you finance their insanely inflated prices. This guy won't be in business long if he keeps doing this. Seems to me like he needs to reread his bible....especially the parts about greed.
