ASDA Ashford the security guard wouldn't let me take my Trolley in at 10 minutes to four when they close at 4 last month on a Sunday at 8 minutes to four the security guard wasn't gonna let me in until I got my camera out he said I couldn't go in because they closing eight minutes. I had to explain to him that ASDA shuts at 4 not 10 minutes to four not five minutes to four not shot when you feel like it is ASDA it shuts at 4 on a sunday. Walmart's UK brand, pretty good, but u need to go out of the car and buy a parking permit then place it on the 'windscreen' which gets partially refunded by checkout if u bring in the copy of payment but the wagons and plastic bags are 'free' a rarity in UK. The shop is full '2 for 3' for example buy 2 get it for cheaper, which usually means that it expires that or the following day. The only meat reasonable here is chicken, other meats Morrisons has better quality. Overall Tesco is a better option with 'free' parking, plastic bags and wagons, their prices they r alike. read more

I love Asda stores especially for their fish counter. . However, after a visit to Asda in Ashford today, I was incredibly disappointed to hear that they do not cut up and clean their whole salmon for their customers as apparently no one is trained there?? How frustrating! A wasted trip to Ashford as I only had to drive back to Canterbury to get it done there! Grrrrr read more

Ashford's worst of the main supermarkets. Try the near by Park Farm Tesco instead. That said, they're renovating it with a £2million remodel of the whole store. read more

Charged over £15 for items I never bought, Double check your receipt. Did my weekly grocery shop, when I checked my receipt in the car I noticed I had been charged over £18 for wine I never purchased. Went back to the store to get a refund only to be told they couldn't access the CCTV and that I would have to return on another day. Returned the next day to get my refund and after 45 minutes speaking with the manager he finally gave me my refund, he seemed incredibly reluctant as if I was trying to rob him. I asked him about the gift card they offer for overcharges as stated in their terms and conditions and he flatly refused and told me I was never overcharged. Apparently being charged over £15 for wine I never bought is not an 'overcharge'. I wonder if Asda head office are aware that the Ashford branch manager worms his way out of errors to keep his figures looking good. I won't be returning to this store, the service was terrible. read more
