DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY they are bunch of unethical thieves preying on small businesses. we signed a contract and two years later, started having 4-6 chargebacks a week, around $200-400 weekly was disputed by our customers, saying they were being double charged. This happened in the middle of the pandemic. Their incompetent and rude customer service tried trouble shooting the problem, after failing - they kept coming back with "maybe your staff is double charging the customer". Their billing is not specific, their collections representatives are rude and pestersome AND they started automatically ACH debiting from our company's bank account without our authorization. This is the only cable company I have ever dealt with that is so adamant about getting their money after 1 month of non-payment. Most companies will just charge late fees and give you at least 90 days to pay, but god forbid you are a few days late with this company, you will get a million calls a week and incredibly rude insistence that you pay and threats to disconnect. My fault...I blindly signed the equipment contract thinking it was an arm of the processing company. When COVID hit we were shut down for seven months. I canceled the cc processing company because we were closed, but the bills kept coming from Ascentium. They were so rude on the phone and wouldn't even listen to my situation. Rebel Payments sold a lease agreement to Ascentium Capital dated 1/1/21 that I didn't even sign. Who signs an agreement on New Year's Day anyway? The agreement that they were basing our relationship on did not have any total dollar amounts or a term, had my social security number wrong and them timestamp said I received it at a certain time, reviewed it 14 seconds later and signed it another 14 seconds later. Sound fishy? I notified Ascentium after noticing two bank drafts from them and provided them them with plenty or documentation supporting my cancellation of my agreement with Rebel because of fraudulent business practices and overcharges in September 2020 and also told them I did not sign the lease agreement and to refund my money. Not only did they not refund my money but they sent me to collections and I have had multiple collection companies contact me trying to collect but have quickly retreated once I shared the facts of this case. Our hair salon was another one of Ascentium's victims (working in concert with United Card Solutions). They sent us a credit card processing terminal that we did not want or need - we already owned the same exact model. The terminal is available on Amazon for less than $300. We still have the unwanted terminal in its original packaging. Ascentium and UCS refuse to provide a return shipping address. Instead, Ascentium demands we pay $60/month for 48 months (~$3000), and is making threats against both our business and our personal finances. Avoid at all costs. read more

I PURCHASED a Truck from PENSKE at a price I knew I could afford. The interest rate I was offered was a little high, but I was told that I could pay it off early so I wasn't concerned. About a year into paying off the loan for the PURCHASE I went to do exactly what I initially told them I wanted to do and start sending extra payments to payoff early. I go to the website and can't find ANYTHING that reflects the amount of the truck, payoff amount, or anything of the sort. I email them for a payoff amount and I receive a number that is about 40% more than the purchase price!!! I was very confused, I reached out for clarification...... NO RESPONSE. That's when I realized what they did. Throughout the loan process, I spent 90% of the time talking to the Penske representative. All the paperwork reflected the correct purchase price and everything, it all looked legit. The very last person I spoke to only for a minute was from Ascentium. They pretty much just verified everything and sent the DocuSign. The loan was VERY VERY wordy and just had the number of payments and amount of payments. Mind you I literally just signed and went through what I thought was a contract with Penske and everything was legit. It was as if they did a quick switch at the very end AFTER I read and did everything with Penske to Ascentium and it threw me off. Reflecting on this, there is no doubt in my mind that this was purposeful. There was no way for me to realize what was happening without having a lawyer present. I literally went through it over and over in my head, and yeah they definitely duped me. So now I am finding out, that the very last thing I signed was a LEASE!!! and all the interest had been front-loaded to that lease. This was NEVER explained in any form or fashion. Shame on Penske for being a part of that process, I know that the sales rep from Penske knew that Ascentium was a scam, that's why he kept reassuring me with all of my questions and waited until the last minute to transfer me to them and give me that very last form to sign AFTER we had discussed everything. UPDATE: Working with Brian Abell who perhaps can put all this matter to rest. BEFORE doing business with Ascentium Capital, carefully read all the reviews on yelp. Many of the 1-star reviews here resonate with my own horrible experience working with this lender. Look at their profile at the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and look at the profile on Ripoff Report. First, shame on any equipment manufacturer, for recommending Ascentium just so they could make a sale. I worked with Jason Wise at Ascentium who emailed me an amortization schedule with payoff amounts for each month of my 60-month loan term. He promised me that when it came time to payoff the loan, I would only have to pay the amount on the Amortization schedule. But when I wanted to payoff the loan early, they did not stick to the amortization schedule and instead came up with a payoff amount that was thousands of dollars more than the amount specified on the amortization schedule that Jason Wise provided me. I have email trails and other evidence of this. I would strongly advise anyone considering borrowing money from Ascentium to carefully consider the experience I (and others) have had with them. read more

They front load all the interest on their loans. If you're ok with this then this is the bank for you. I was told I had a loan with a particular interest rate with no prepayment. They instead front loan all the interest for the entire term of the loan on the front end. In my case this meant only the interest portion of my loan was being reduced in the first 18 months or so. If you go to payoff the loan early you are hit with whatever front loaded interest is remaining plus the original principal. I'd stay away and look at other reputable equipment lenders. read more

I need a lien release form filled out that is specific for my state, and they can't seem to get it right; even after our local county clerk contacted them with specific instructions, they seem to now be just ignoring all of us. My first request for a corrected form netted an email that essentially said - ' You have what we sent and that's all you're going to get '. My next stop is social media. Warning. Check your EFA and make certain payments match with the bank. They will charge you for insurance even if you prove you have it. They did this to me for well over a year. Then they would not refund the amount and never told me exactly how much I was overcharged. They just reduced how much I paid on my notes. Got a loan at Ascentium Capital on some equipment. We made payments on our loans for aprox. a year finding out that were paying interest payments only. Nothing toward the principle of the loan. On a loan usually the interest is prorated through the loan. The interest usually gets lower as you make payments. Also your payments go towards the principle of the loan. Were finding out that we have been paying interest only for about a year thus we still owe the same amount that we paid for the equipment to begin with. Then that's not all. We were supposed to have full coverage on the equipment we purchased. We got insurance from day one. Come to find out they have been charging us insurance even though we had it covered with our own insurance company. I'm not to happy with this company to pull these kind of scams on us.
