The store has a large variety of things including homemade crafts and they even have a hand crank cash register. We bought of all things a neat Chicago Bears hat just before the woman working the register was going to give it to her priest who is a Bears fan. I mean to tell you...you cant make this stuff up. Anyway, I wanted to take a picture of a cowboy boot made into a birdhouse and the bird told us they don't allow pictures in the store.. Are you serious what do you think you are stopping and do you think I didn't send a family member back into the store to get a few pictures...where is the Texas Western Hospitality. If you want to experience better go to the Historic Nutt House and see the work of artist Sam Jones. He actually takes pictures of his craft for you and puts it on the J4 Sculpted Steel website: http://www.j4sculptedsteel.com/index.html obviously not scared but flattered if someone imitated his work. Well this time I was here to actually buy a BOOK! Thuy and I walked the Square a few nights ago, looking in windows. When we passed Arts & Letters Bookstore, we spotted a book we wanted to buy for our newest nephew. The book? "The Little Puppy (part of My Little Animal Friend)" by Nicola Killen. The clerk who helped us, Brandy, was very friendly and helpful. I asked about local authors, and learned there is a section just for them. In the same area, is books specific to Granbury. Very cool little find. I also bought some Granbury themed stickers for random gifts for random friends. I also joined the free shoppers club (if it has a real name, it slipped my mind), where after spending $100, you get $10 of your next purchase. I now know what people are getting for gifts next year... Books on Granbury, written by Granburians!

This place is loaded with a unique collection of all kinds of artsy home décor from all over. The items will appeal to men & women alike. There is also a variety of unusual jewelry made just for their shop. There are all kinds of bird cages, antique signs, home décor and more-including a pickup door from the early 1900's. No matter how I explain what the shop has to offer, it would not do it justice. Not only is the collection unique but as my husband said, the gentlemen has an eye for grouping collections in the most beautiful way. He also has an eye for taking old doors and decorating them to be part of your home décor. These alone are worth the trip!
