All Brand Vacuum - WOW. I WON'T be buying my next vacuum here! RUDE

All Brand Vacuum

(28 reviews)

Deering Center

I had two vacuums that no longer worked properly - a Dyson upright ($$$) and a handheld Eureka ($)…read more I suspected the Dyson was fixable but wasn't sure what it would take, but was pretty sure the Eureka was trash. It was originally a $40 vacuum so, not a huge deal if it was dead. I brought them into All Brand Vacuum yesterday to see what they could do, and was very pleased to find that not only were both fixable, but they were able to fix them on the spot, for free! Apparently both had clogged bits in them that I had missed, despite my having tried to take them apart and clean them. To have them fixed at all was a bit of a surprise, to have them fixed on the spot was a delight, and to have the owner refuse payment (the servicing took about 10 minutes for both) was shocking. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I can't wait until I need to buy a new vacuum so I can support this awesome local business. I was preparing myself mentally to buy a new vacuum, so had actually started researching the brands they carry (Miele & Sebo) and was ready to buy if it came to that (look like awesome vacuums). They also rent carpet cleaners, so I'll be back to rent one of those soon and will be using them for basically any floor cleaning needs ever. Please do yourself a favor and check these guys out. If you're like me, you've been driving by for years wondering what that business was and how they stay open. I hope they're open forever. While I was there another customer came in for some parts and was raving about the vacuum she bought from them and how her mother just bought a different vacuum at Sears and was mad at herself for not buying from All Brand, since the quality was so obviously inferior. These guys are awesome.

I bought several vacuums from All Brand in the past couple of years. On multiple occasions I was…read moretold a problem couldn't be fixed (when later I discovered it could have been), was sold new hoses unnecessarily, was treated as if I was an unfamiliar customer when I was in there so often I should have been greeted by name. Then I found Western Maine Machine!!!!!!!! Folks - drop everything and go there instead! They sell Miele, Sebo, and much more (plus sewing machines), they service what they sell, they fixed the things All Brand couldn't/wouldn't, the shop is bright and clean, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and even the owner knew me by name by my second visit. I wish I'd spent the past 2 years giving them my business instead of having to visit that dump of a 'showroom' at All Brand and being treated as a bother. WMM has a customer for LIFE with me because they are the BEST! https://www.wmemachines.com/shop/Vacuum-Cleaners.htm Western Maine Machines 426 Route 1 Scarborough, ME 04074 Phone: (207)303-0185 Email: jim@wmemachines.com

Suggest not using LP appliance out of westbrook…read more.. I go in Monday. Pick out the dishwasher and he says they will come out Wednesday to install. he says they will give me a call. Come wednesday, I wait til about 11 am (after they open at 9) today and call. He says yup we've got you on the schedule for sometime this afternoon. I wait and call back at 3:15pm (because they close at 4) and say hey I'm just checking on that install since I know you close at 4. He says "did you call mark?" I'm like I wasn't given marks info. I haven't heard anything since I called this morning. He said "he will leave a note. Mark should be back around 4/4:30." i vocalize that i stayed home specifically today because i was told the install would be today and am gone thursday, friday and all next week. I call back 3:55 to get marks number and of course go to voice-mail. "Closed for the day". I'll just go somewhere else at this point. I then get a voice-mail the next morning from Ryan "The is Ryan from LP appliance, give me a call when you get the chance. I'm sorry about yesterday but it sounds like you'll be happy to go someplace else. I saw your little display on Facebook (meaning my factual review of this experience) on Facebook. Give me a call. " I don't know about you but the passive aggressiveness is seeping out of that voice-mail and I think I will do business elsewhere

Awful. People don't want to work anymore, only it is the boomers who whine about online businesses…read morebeating them, only they are sending the business to Amazon on a silver platter. I stopped by to inquire about having a reversing valve in my Whynter heat pump (portable ac unit with heat) and as I had already done the troubleshooting and identified that the reversing valve is the problem and this unit uses the same universal reversing valve found in many hvac units. I found the exact part on Amazon for $12.95. They said they don't know if they can source the part. Really? I just finished telling you boomers that I already identified the part and it is a fairly universal part. I was perfectly willing to pay a few hundred for the part to be replaced as I no longer have torches for brazing nor AC gauges to charge it properly. Good grief. Stop complaining about Amazon if you are turning away business, especially where you have an engineer who already identified not only what is wrong, but that this particular model doesn't even use a universal part. If I had the torches, goggles, a vacuum pump, and the gauges, I would repair it myself. Why are you turning away what would have been an extremely easy job and a quick couple hundred bucks in pure profit? What the heck is wrong with brick and mortars today? Y'all don't want to work anymore.
