I live off of 80 Sheldon rd 2 or 3 weeks ago this tree company get down brush for eversource that were interfering with wired. Great. However they left all the brush there and studs everywhere which can be seen because of all the brush. And it looks terrible. We have a lot of people walk the dogs on the side of this road because traffic goes very fast here and we have a lot of older people walking dogs. I can't believe a company would leave such mess and dangerous for people walking . I wish this company would go back and pick k up the mess they did. read more

I'd like to let people know what an EXCELLENT job Lucas Tree Service did for me this morning!!!! They took down a HUGE and difficult tree that was tangled up in the telephone wires! It was easy to see that these guys are true professionals and certainly know what they're doing. They were awesome and left my yard looking great! I have had Lucas tree experts on my property for the past two weeks, removing dead trees that were a danger to not only my home, but the power lines, that support electricity for my entire neighborhood. I want to express my gratitude for their expert knowledge, courtesy, and friendly service. The weather has not always been very conducive to the work they need to perform, but yet they keep on working, and always with a smile on their face. We reached out to these folks again and again, hoping to engage them for their Christmas outdoor lighting services. Well, we apparently did not even rate the courtesy of a replay. They would not give us the time of day. No call backs. No returning of messages. Like many service providers near by, they may be enjoying a glut of business for the time being. So for them I hope it's worth it. When and if the economy shakes up. its businesses like this I'll remember who seeming had no need for a retail client when we wanted to do business with them. They are wonderful. Their Arborist is great. The came out to see if I could save a very old tree and he said we can try. They feed the tree and did other things and the tree lived another 20 years!! read more

They butchered our property, basically everything that grew even if it doesn't grow as high as the power lines, they cut it down! And also on top of that, they didn't even clean up their mess! Our neighbors and I are working on a lawsuit to have Lucas Tree pay for damages done to the properties, plant and lawn replacement, clean-up fees, Lawyer fees, and reporting them to our Town officials for further recommendations and actions. They are not professional and do not return calls! read more

These people came to my home on behalf of CMP and decimated my front yard of trees that have stood for almost 30 years and have never, ever been a problem. They clear cut leaving a huge mess, pointed stumps and logs across the road. They refuse to take any responsibility whatsoever and decided that the $200 bill credit was enough for the damage they did. They damaged trees, stripped others, and left a disaster. We asked them to replant at least 3 trees, they refused, we asked what they thought was fair to right the wrong done and we got slapped in the face. My husband built this home 30 years ago and we have never had one complaint with any other service, never had power lines down or any other problems with anyone trimming back our 30 foot mature, healthy trees. They disrespected us, never contacted us first and went against the covenants of our subdivision. They thought it was funny I cried over the shock and devastation. Lucas Tree came to my neighborhood working on behalf of Central Maine Power and cut down all the trees which were planted by my family. The last time they came to our area, they left a number for me to call so that we could coordinate the necessary steps for tree trimming in front of our family home. This time they did not even afford us the opportunity to discuss the tree trimming and just cut down ninety five percent of the trees around the area of the power lines instead of just trimming around them. Most of the trees they cut were atleast twenty five to thirty years old! When I came home that day, I was appalled and as soon as I saw the devastation, I began crying because my daughter who was two at the time we planted them also started crying as soon as she saw the decimated trees she helped plant. I don't understand why no one contacted us to discuiss a plan of trimming that did not include cutting them down! We have never had any problems with the wires or losing power because of the trees near them. Also, as we were inspection and processing the devastation, one of our neighbors stopped on the street and asked "what the hell was going on and why was it necessary to cut down all of the trees, as they were also appalled at the horrible look of the street now. They not only disregarded the age and beauty of the trees near the wires..they also fell trees on one of our most prized perennials (which was not even close to CMP's right of way) was one of my late mothers possessions of which was her favorite. I had dug it up from her property in Northern Maine after she passed and now is ruined and destined to die as she did. What a nightmare this has been. I am totally disgusted with Lucas Tree and would not recommend them at all! See the pictures and you'll see what I mean. read more

These guys provided excellent customer service from start to finish. They provided exactly the services we discussed, at the estimated cost, in a timely manner. They were booked out until January and estimated we would receive our tree services the fist week of the new year. They arrived when promised and were very professional. We will be using Lucas Tree for all our future needs and recommend them highly. read more

Asked for a quote in May. The area rep came promptly and gave me a fair quote. I told them to do the work he said he would send a contract. The contract was never received even though I called him on numerous occasions. He assured me they would do the job. I called again in October and he had a new position and some one else from the company would take care the work. I called 2 more times, Finally I was directed to David Clark the second in charge, I left a message, I later received a call from some one else telling me they could not do the work. They strung me along all summer, now winter is upon us and I still have dangerous trees. Thanks for nothing, had they of been reputable they would of done the work or declined up front, and gave some one else the chance to get it done.
