I have gotten three piercings here in the past few years, a helix, orbital conch, and tragus. The piercer is super friendly and very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He makes sure to give you advice on cleaning and aftercare and answers any and all questions you have. 2 for $30 piercings sounds too good to be true, because it is. I had a previous experience here getting my nose pierced and it was fine, but had a different experience this time. The staff isn't that friendly, are shouting F YOU and MOTHERF*CKER, Suck my *ss! through the store and outside smoking every 10 min. The guy who did the piercing was nice but bitched the whole time about bad reviews he's had (both times I've been here). I asked for forward helix and rook, and he explained I don't have the anatomy for a rook. Ok, settled on cartilage to balance out other ear. I've had 12 piercings, numerous being cartilage and never once have I gotten 18 barbells in them? The ones he put in were way too big. Catching on everything. Thought the fwd helix looked odd, so I went to where I've gotten All of my other piercings to have them change the jewelry and look at the helix. The cartilage location and gauge was great, it just needed a flat back post so it could swell, but not move around that much or risk being caught on something. I had to have the helix taken out because it wasn't going to heal in that spot, with a barbell, and it's not what I wanted. read more

I've been going here for piercings and tattoos for 4 years now. I've had 10 piercings done here (9 by the past piercer, 1 by the current) & 5 tattoos. They run a 2 for $30 special on piercings and never once have I had a problem with them rejecting as I have with Asylum and Mother's. I go to Marcus Bradshaw for my tattoos and he is AMAZING. His line work is great and I wouldn't go anywhere else. He charges a fair price and doesn't over charge like a lot of the shops down in Covington do. read more

This shop was a great experience each of the multiple times I have been there. The staff is funny and personable. Though the prices are much cheaper than other shops in the area, the work is just as good. Everyone in my family goes here for piercings and tattoos and has nothing but good things to say about it. The person who reviewed this before me seems to have a personal vendetta against the shop because I have never seen any of the type of behavior she has described. I support this facility completely and it's the place a recommend for anyone. I STRONGLY recommend bringing in personal photos of the work you want done though because the wall of tattoo examples they have is very boring and mainstream. I really don't recommend this shop, it's a well-known fact in this area that Art's Ink does shoddy work and although their prices are cheap, there's a reason for it. I know several folks who have went in there for a tattoo and have seen artists not change gloves and even slap "high 5" with gloves on from other work, then to just go back and work on customers again (hello health department, can we say cross-contamination?). I also know that Lucky 13 gets a lot of their mess-ups to fix, so with that being said I would say to walk a few feet down Madison Ave and go to Lucky 13 instead, or even drive to Latonia and see the guys at Asylum but please don't go to this shop. Went in for a smiley piercing. The guy was kinda rude but what ever. He does the piercing, didn't let me look at it. I leave get to my car & the piercing is sitting to the left n super high in my mouth. I go back to explain that it's bothering me badly & swelling. Instead of listening he cuts me off to tell me he know how to pierce & come back when it's not swollen. I left and went to asylum to check it out. And the guy at arts basically went too deep & pierced the top part of my lip. Pay the extra money and go else where. Arts ink are rude & do not do a good job & don't grasp the whole good customer service is a big part of keeping the doors open read more

A couple of friends and I went there today to get piercings done. 20 bucks each. Compared to the forty dollars mothers and asylum wanted to charge us for the same piercings. They were quick, sanitary, and polite. I don't know about there tattoo artists. But I would recommend getting piercings here to anyone that doesn't want to get ripped off at the other local places. read more

I have seen some work of theirs(a chest piece and a leg) done by two different artist. They do offer cheap prices but the quality is not so great. I would recommend Mothers on Main St. or Dana on Main if your in Covington. They are more expensive but with tattoos you get what you pay for. They are absolutely not generic tattoos in any way. read more

my friend went to get her daith pierced and the piercer said he wouldn't do it if he had difficulty accessing that part of her ear. he then proceeded to pierce it and drop the earring back into her ear. we had to go to the hospital to get it extricated. he didn't even bother to clean the blood off of her ear. read more
