I visited 41Fork as part of Coffee Crawl Milwaukee and tried their Carrot Cake Latte. I really…read moreenjoyed the flavor--it had a nice balance of warm spices and sweetness and gave me that cozy fall drink feeling without being overly sweet. The cafe is spacious, bright, and modern, with plenty of seating. It felt like a nice place to relax, catch up with a friend, or sit down with a coffee for a while. The overall atmosphere was calm and comfortable during my visit, and I enjoyed the experience. I'd definitely come back to try more of their drinks and food options. If you like seasonal flavored lattes, the Carrot Cake Latte is worth trying!

Oh, and of course coffee and food too. Well, I found that and MORE here at Wantable Cafe. Not only is it FREE to come here--no monthly subscription unlike some other remote work cafes but they also let you reserve noise cancelling pods. Two pods have couches where a few people can sit and work together and one pod is for a solo person working--or like in my case having to take an exam with dead quietness, no people, pets and be heavily scrutinized. The rest of the cafe has a bunch of tables ranging from 2 people to groups of 6 people, couches, comfy chairs AND lots of plug outlets. So there is plenty of space for you and others if you need it. Now let's get to the good part---the FOOD. The have gourmet pizza slices sold by the ounce, gourmet cannolis (the matcha and chocolate was to die for), breakfast sandwiches, bowls, snacks, basically everything you could want to set up shop. Plus wine and beer! My only wish is that they were open 24/7 because I also work 3rd shift and finding anywhere to study without waking up my wife and disturbing my precious dog is difficult.

The National Cafe and Bakery was able to accommodate without a problem--they don't use soybean oil or soy based butter in their vegan options. Most vegan options at restaurants are soy based so this was such a refreshing change. The vegan French toast is so good and hearty! I also love their baked goods and look forward to being able to enjoy a treat there. I hope they continue to to serve my neighborhood--I love the farm to table concept. 10/10. A Milwaukee staple on the Southside.

We ended up getting the full English breakfast, I had a London fog latte and my fiancée had a regular coffee. They do have oat milk and soy milk if you prefer that instead of regular milk in your coffee. The full English breakfast has baked beans, tomato, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, eggs and toast. I have had this numerous times here and it has always been my favorite! the baked beans are just a little sweet n tangy, the eggs are however you like them cooked, and the mushrooms at a bit of earthy flavor. If you have ever been to England, the only difference is there is no white or black sausage here. I don't exactly like it so I am glad the sausage here is more like a broiled regular one. The London fog here is the ONLY one I like in MKE! They always put just the right amount of vanilla syrup and milk in it. Most places end up making it super sweet but this place is PERFECT! I come here occasionally because it's also cute and we like to sit in the window and people watch. The service is great and you just order from your phone at the table you choose and pay using Apple Pay or a card.
