I love this studio! I've been 3 times. Twice by myself and once for a Friendsgiving painting event. The events are very fun! There was a great selection of complimentary foods and wine to choose from. Staff is friendly and helpful with any questions you might have. Great little ceramic arts studio that accepts walk-ins. I love the fact that you don't need an appointment and you can walk right in and escape the Florida heat. It's great for a small child or someone who is a talented painter. We met a friend and my little guy who is three painted a small dinosaur. I did think a 5-in dinosaur priced at $20 was a bit steep but after all it is on Lakewood Ranch main Street and I understand the cost of the overhead as well as paint, glazing, etc. Definitely a great place to try especially if you have a child who is an avid painter or loves arts and crafts. read more

Really liked the experience as a cute friend outing or even date night. No need to reserve. We were welcomed right away, walked through the many options to pick from already made pottery that you choose and paint 6 color pallets are included in the price. Price range from 10ish to around 40ish or more depending on what you choose. Only small downside is you have to come back in a week to pick up. read more

I just showed up to paint at 7:03pm with my 8 year old and 3 year old daughter. They refused to allow us to paint because it was past 7pm. How they could deny kids to paint because of a few minutes is just bad customer service. Would not recommend. read more

I came to this painting place that has pottery in it and I painted lots of shapes and it's so calm and beautiful.

A cute location for a do-it-yourself ceramics & glass jewelry place. It takes 4-5 days for your project to be fired & returned, it can get pricey quickly but it is a fun treat. We live in the area and stop by a few times a year, making gifts or something to bring home. They offer summer camps as well. read more

I took my niece to Arts-A-Blaze to get a mug for her mom. The ladies, who I assume own the place, were very helpful and friendly. I agree that it can get pricey but the experience was well worth it. My niece walked all around, picked a lovely "I love mom" mug which she decided to color it with 8 different colors. She took her sweet time at it too :) The ladies were more than happy to help my niece with the process and pick out the different colors. It only took 2 days to get the mug back, so we didn't waited long at all. Very happy. read more

A great way to spend an afternoon with family or friends. My wife and I enjoy any opportunity we get to make or build something with our own hands, especially when all the tools are accessible and the instructions are simple. Over the years we've been to a few pottery stores and found this gem to be located in a quaint little community with options to grab a nearby bite to eat and a glass of wine or two when we finished our handy work. Arts A Blaze had plenty of molds to choose from and a friendly staff that was more than willing to help and suggest a thing or two. Thanks to Arts A Blaze, our holidays were complete with a lighted, tabletop Christmas tree and a chubby Santa candy dish! My daughter, mother, and myself all went in to paint two weeks ago. This was our first time, so I had no idea what I was doing! However, we walked in on a rather busy Saturday and we were greeted right away. When asked if we had been in before, we responded no and the young girl gave us a quick overview of the process! She was very helpful, especially when helping my 8 year old daughter pick out colors for her dog. She brought the paints to our table and recommended brushes for us. If we needed something, the two young girls and manager were quick to jump up and help. The studio encourages creativity and imagination! We will definitely be back to paint some more, and try the glass fusing as well! read more

First of all this would have been a great review but as you read you'll understand. Took my 2 daughters and one of them's boyfriend for a fun day painting. We spent a few hours there. They had so many different cool things we just couldn't make up our minds on what to do. The staff was very friendly and showed us a piece that was a painted ceramic with glass infused. One of the kids decided to do the exact piece because it was so cool! So after several hours of painting, we paid extra to have the glass put into the piece and left very happy!! Well this is where it goes wrong, when picking up the pieces that we did, we notice the piece with the glass infused look shatter. I had sent the 2 older kids to pick up the pieces and they talk to them and told them how they weren't happy with the piece. They were told that's what happen when it fired at 2 different temp. They had taken a photo of the example there and look nothing like that. So once I seen it called them back and talk to the owner who said there was nothing she could do and was as mean and nasty and was not gonna make it right. We ask why weren't we told that would happen and she had no answer. Also had no answer that the example there in the store wasn't cracked looking but our was.Let me explain we spent $157.00 that day and had plan to come back once a week but after the treatment of the owner and her not making it right we won't. She could of replace the piece for pennies and refuse not so she step over a dollar to make a dime. Just can't believe the owner was so rude and didn't want to make it right with their screwup. read more

The owner started cleaning up a half hour before they close, making me feel like they wanted me to leave so they could go home. I asked what my options were to finish my project and was told I could return another day and they would pour out my "paints" free-of-charge. I asked what time they opened the next day and then turned in my plate so they could clean up. When I returned the next day to finish, the owner told me they had already glazed it as they didn't realize I wasn't finished and that I should have taken it home with me to finish. Even though I hadn't been told that was an option, I would have been understanding of the miscommunication if they had apologized, but instead the owner made me feel like it was all my fault. She did offer to scrape off the glaze so I could fix it, but by this point I was upset and didn't want to stay in there and have to ask her for paints, brushes, towels and inconvenience her further since she had already made it clear that I had broken some rule that I should have known. read more
