I've been going here for years, but I'm done now. I'd earned my $25 reward that you get after so many visits. Went to pay and they wouldn't honour my reward because I was paying with gift cards I bought at Costco. What am I saving on the gift cards if I have to give up my hard earned reward to use them? Nothing. Then they took away my manicure discount that was advertised, again because I was paying with gift cards. I told the girl I was unimpressed, but she continued on. Oh, then she didn't stamp my rewards card for this visit, even though she said she would. Just overall shady service. I had been dying to get a massage and I couldn't wait to go back home to my usual people to get it. So upon a visit to costco, I found a $100 certificate for $80. 20% discount is something hard to pass up so I convinced the boyfriend to buy it. The following week, we went to get a massage. Our eyes just bulged at the prices really. Maybe I've been spoiled, but it's hard for me to justify paying $155 for a 75 minute massage for two. We sucked it up though, because I thought, hmm, with how much they charge you, they must do a magnificent job right? Right? WRONG! They asked me how hard they wanted to massage me and I said medium. The girl just rubbed my body for a little over and hour. Not massage, just rub it, like you would rub a childs back when you try to comfort them, When I asked for a little bit more pressure, I got none. When it was done, I asked boyfriend how his massage was, and he hated it too. We especially hated how much we had to pay for it. What a freaken rip off. Don't go here, don't support this place, they have no right to sell massage packages when they clearly don't have any idea what a massage is. I am upset about their business practices. They ask what tip (of course) on the machine for business cards and if you have purchased products and services it is all added up together so not only do you tip on tax but you tip on the PRODUCTS also. The products are very expensive, which I think are worth it however .......I called to discuss this thinking it must be an accident to which the receptionist said the computers they had did it that way and all that happens is that you are tipping for the services more than your percentage you put in, in my case 15%. I've seen lots of negative reviews but I have nothing to complain about here. Our couples massage was perfect! Our wait time before heading in was only about 7 minutes. Not bad. Plus the lobby water was delish. The massage flew by so you know she was good. Great pressure and a real pro (although my massage experience is limited so my standards might be lower). When it came to paying up at the end I'm pretty sure I received the birthday discount since we went on my GF's bday, despite not being on their newsletter so that was an unexpected cherry on top. I'm surprised at their lack of follow up. I'm sure they could receive a lot more positive reviews and help their Yelputation! I would love to get in there and let them clean up my toes! read more

Always have a great mani/pedi experience, and loved that they advertised last minute specials and specials of the month, but I am very upset that you can no longer use the gift cards (from Costco) when you are getting a "special or promotional" price. Really, the gift cards are what kept me loyal to "Artistic" but not being able to use them at your convenience is very annoying. Now I will be back only to use up the gift cards, then I will be taking my business elsewhere! And to think, I just got my husband convinced that they made great presents for me, it it seems like a raw deal! This is definitely a bad management decision! I had referred many friends before, but I am spreading the word, that our money is only good for paying the overpriced regular prices, and I'm sure the estheticians as well are not getting tipped as they normally would! Bad brazilian waxing experience! First got there and the towel she gave me to cover up while I waited for her to come back had stains and hair on it. No before or aftercare, just powder, and she was very rough - I ended up bleeding in some spots, and not just small dots of blood, areas where the whole strip covered is raw. I thought because they have a decent website and it's not too cheap ($50) it would be ok, but I was wrong! Won't be going back. read more

I went here almost a year ago for a spray tan which I was not happy with and had horrible customer service. The day before mother's day, this year, my mom booked a massage and getting our nails done. I decided to come back because she wanted to try this spa out. The massage wasn't too bad, but the therapist was digging into my neck/jaw and I told her multiple times it hurt but she kept going back to that spot. Afterward, I got shellac on my nails and she got shellac on her toes. After my nails were done I noticed that the shellac wasn't really close to my cuticles. The lady explained that in her shellac course they taught her that it is dangerous to put the shellac too close to the skin. Okay, fine, even though I've never heard of that, that's fine if it's dangerous. However, my nails looked like they had been done a week prior (they looked grown out). Two days after (the Monday), one of my nails chipped. I'm not rough with my hands and I ended up having to cut my nails. It's now been about a week and a half and my nails look way too grown out and the shellac is starting to peel. Also, my muscles after the massage hurt and are a bit swollen/hard. I was hoping my second experience at Artistic Aesthetic Spa would be better than my first but I was let down. I will never go there again and I will not recommend this spa. read more

I had a terrific experience. I did a day spa package and it was wonderful. Their facial was the best experience. Mani and Pedi was awesome too (the only way I think they could improve this is to add more colours). I did a massage too and it was good. Not excellent but good. Very good price for the entire package and I look forward to coming again sometime soon. read more

My experience at Artistic was mediocre. My mother and I were both booked in for massaged together and then pedicures, we had requested to be in separate rooms and when we arrived were taken to a couples massage room. We went with it, because it didn't really matter. Once the massage started, I asked the masseuse to not touch my feet as I am very ticklish in that area. She completely ignored this request and massaged my feet, then seemed to get upset with me when I accidentally flinched. The poor massage was made up for with a delightful pedicure. I would return to artistic for a pedicure service, I just don't know how well I will trust them to listen to direction and suggestions in the future. read more

The service was okay, My biggest complaint was with waxing, I had three blister/burns as a result of getting a brazillian wax. Ouch.

Just be forewarned, your appointment may not be kept by this salon in London, Ontario. When I showed up on time on the correct day, with Artistic's card stating the date and time of my appointment, I was told that my appointment had been given to someone else. Despite being a good customer for many years, I was told that the esthetician would not take me unless I came back 2.5 hours later. Needless to say, that is not the way to treat a loyal customer. By the way, if the previous customer is very late, they still perform the asked-for services for her/him which means that your appointment is much later than the assigned time. This isn't a problem I guess if you have nothing else to do! read more

Hair (4/5) I've come to this spa a couple times now and the last experience I had compelled me to write a review. I'm typically a very impulsive shopper, even when it comes to my hair. So typically when I book a hair appointment, it is a spur of the moment decision. I called to book an appointment for a haircut and got it booked the same day with a lovely stylist named Sarah. She was very friendly and understood exactly what I wanted to get done with my hair. Often I find when I pop into places to get my hair done by a new stylist, they don't care much about student aged customers - maybe because of the assumption that we do not tip - but Sarah treated me very well and even took the time to show me how to create loose curls with a straighter (an issue I'd been trying to learn for a while). So for about $40 dollars, I got my hair washed, cut and styled in loose curls. On top of that I had a 25% off coupon (from Western), which made the whole purchase $36. Such a bargain, I would definitely recommend going here. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the smell of hair dye in the hair washing room. One lady was getting her hair dyed darker and the smell was very pungent and somewhat smelled like Nair. But, I was only in that room for about 10 minutes, and then I went back to Sarah's hair cutting station - where the only smell was that of my clean hair. Waxing (3.5/5) Other services I used from this spa were Brazilian and Eye Brow wax. Very clean process, no double dipping here and nice after wax lotion. Personally thought I find the waxing services to be fairly pricy for my budget, but they do a good job. I also found that one esthetician to be better than the other, the brunette (sorry I forget her name). The only reason for this is personal preference. I find the brunette esthetician to be faster with the Brazilian and more precise with my eyebrows. Note: I also once got an eye brow wax done at the Wax Bar. I wouldn't recommend doing this. It is not very well lit, so I believe the esthetician had a hard time seeing my blonde eyebrows. At the end of the session, I didn't notice any difference between the pre wax and the post wax eyebrows. read more

My mom and I just had our experience at the Artistic Spa. It was a surprise week-end for her so I decided to get us both a massage and a facial. I had an RMT, they provide to almost any massage for $10 extra(so you can get a receipt for benefits and they massage deeper). My girl was great & so was my moms. I've had many massages and facials before and I would say that the quality was above average. The space itself is a little smaller if you're used to a huge place but it's more intimate this way. Just need to say that my facial was Amazing! I had Jodey(who I'd highly recommend). She knew so much about certain types of skin and she did a great job! I had gel nails put on at Artistic Spa and the service was okay, although the lady did not keep them as short as I had asked her to for workplace purposes. The nails were fine, but when I went to my regular salon to get them taken off they would not come off. The esthetician worked on my nails for over two hours just trying to get the gel nails off. I as well as the other employees at my regular salon were unaware that other repuable salons like Artistic Spa still used gel nails that didn't just soak off. After a long two hours most of the 'gel' was finally safely taken off my nails. I would never recommend Artistic Spa's gel nails to anyone. I will not be going back. read more

After the complete disrespect and horrific customer service I received at this spa by whom, in my opinion, is perhaps the worst Manager I have ever had the horrible misfortune of encountering, I will never return to nor recommend this spa. After spending almost $300 in less then a month at this establishment while having my eyelashes filled the manager knocked on the door and told the esthetician to tell me I had to get up and move my car since the owner was there and there were no parking spots!! I was shocked - I was a paying customer and during a treatment where my eyes are tapped shut... I was asked to get up in the middle of the session and move my vehicle to the street and pay for parking!! I was astonished! As far as I am concerned YOU give up your spot for a paying customer especially if they are in the middle of a treatment!!! What is wrong with this business - who does that!??... obviously they do not care at all about their customers. Go somewhere else... they obviously dont need you. read more
