Pretty much everything here is leather, handmade, nice brands from Turkey among others. Lots of simple flattering styles in lovely colour palates and everything I looked at was under $100! The service was impeccable, low key, helpful, friendly but not in any way pushy, just easy going and great. I found a pair I'm freaking thrilled about and will wear everyday this week, and I;ll likely be back soon. This review is specific to their summer selection, lots to love, will be curious to see what they offer in the fall.

The prices were similar to the ones in the USA, but with the exchange rate, they do come out to be a bit less expensive. I saw some really cool workout shorts in great colors. Customer service is absolute trash. Bought my daughter legging for Christmas and the seam already…read moreripped out. Customer service blamed the way my daughter wore the pants not that the stitching was done poorly. For how expensive these leggings you'd think that they would stand by their product but clearly they don't. We will not purchase another item from them.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend anyone take their business to Claudette. I was a customer of…read moreClaudette's for years (buying off the rack) and thought she would make a beautiful wedding dress for me and a dress for my mother. Instead she produced a dress of extremely low quality with both low quality fabric and construction, that was no where near what we originally discussed. For my mom's dress, she said she would make the one my mom tried on in a different colour, but when my mom received it, it was so big it was falling off her and had weird gaping fabric because of how badly it was sewed (another seamstress said she couldn't even fix it). Claudette refused to acknowledge any of this and forced us to pay in full. Unfortunately Claudette does not have the best interest of her clients in mind - do not trust her.

I wandered in here, on the recommendation from my hairstylist. After walking by Rush thousands of…read moretimes and never actually walking in, I have to admit I was kinda weary. I was greeted by the designer and owner directly and immediately started finding some gorgeous gowns. An hour later, still trying on beautiful and unique dresses, I have to say my hairstylist was definitely right, but then again how could I ever have doubted him! Rush specializes in handmade bespoke dresses. There are many samples to try on in the front room, but the real magic happens when you speak with the designer to start customizing your gown. The price is also relatively affordable, ranging from $400-800, as far as I saw. Still a lot, but considering what wedding dresses go for these days, I was pleasantly surprised. Whether you're looking for a wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses or evening wear, Rush offers some beautiful, handmade and locally designed gowns.

For quality shoes and personal, friendly service Jardin de Mes Pieds is hard to beat. Although they…read moreare a smaller boutique-style store, they offer a lot of selection, styles and sizes for men and women. One thing: you may pay more for footwear at Jardin de Mes Pieds than at Payless Shoes, but it's sure to last because they sell quality stuff -- not the cheap plastic crap sold elsewhere that falls apart after three months. While I understand that some people don't have a huge budget for footwear, spending a little more up front means your shoes or boots will last. What's more, JDMP stand behind their footwear so should you ever have an issue with something you've purchased, they'll work to make it right for you. Jardin de Mes Pieds is tucked in a corner of the Pointe-Claire Shopping Plaza, but their personal service is worth the trip.

You are always greeted, offered a cabin once they see you holding an item while looking at others, and make a point of writing your name on your change room door to make check ups and size changes simpler but personalized.
