Sandwich Planet - Yum! Koshari (lentils, macaroni, onions and rice) plus sauces.

My family and I tried this place because we were told they have some amazing Greek food. And I love…read morea good gyro. It's a tiny unassuming restaurant with 4 tables that's apart of the Cowboy Gas station on Perkins. It's near Trax and next door to the Neighborhood Walmart. The person that greeted us - which I'm assuming was the owner was very friendly and welcoming. We took a look at the menu, which offers gyros, shawarma sandwiches, burgers and other items. As well as Egyptian food. The owner brought over a complementary plate of koshari (it has lentils, macaroni, rice and onions) plus a vinegar based sauce called dakka (this is spicier than you'd think! But very good!) as well as a tomato based sauce with chickpeas. It was delicious! He said this was a special for the day. He also gave us some homemade baklava as well! My husband specifically said it was delicious, and he said he's had it before but wasn't really impressed. He said this was a cut above the rest! My husband and I both order their half order of a gyro and fries. It was still massive! And then my oldest had a crispy chicken sandwich on ciabatta. He said it was very fresh and the bread was nice and toasty warm. We're not sure what the seasoning is on the fries but they were good! And last my youngest had a Philly cheesesteak also on ciabatta with fries. He said his was also good! The owner was incredibly generous by also sending us home with a massive serving of the koshari, and the accompanying sauces. I was surprised to say the least! We would totally go back and definitely recommend! Try it all you'll be very surprised with the food. And eat in you never know what you're going to be able to try.

The food is as good as the people! Had a gyro basket and a humus plate and I will be back soon. The…read moreowners were so kind. Great addition to Stillwater!

Pibil doesn't show up on many OkieMex restaurant menus. I was excited to try it at Don Pibil. So,…read morewhat's the deal with Pibil? It is prepared differently than carnitas and has much more flavor. Don Pibil Stilly Express, located in the building that used to be Maysan Gyro. The inside of the restaurant is typical OkieMex décor and ambiance. Low rent restaurant operations set up in a repurposed building (often an old Pizza Hut) or any previous failed restaurant location. Like most all small Oklahoma Mexican restaurants the air conditioner was fighting hard; just barely staying a few degrees above the oppressive July heat. But well enough that it was not uncomfortable in the restaurant. Likely much cooler than dining outdoors at Don Pibil Grill, a food truck operation on 6th Ave. My wife and I both had the Don Pibil Special. A platter described on one of the online posted menus as a chili relleno (covered in queso), beans, cilantro rice, pico de gallo, cilantro, pibil pork, red onion and tortillas. This was not listed on the menu screen, but the guy at the counter said he could make us a couple. No hay tortillas ni salsa gratis. Ok then. With the meal we ordered the Trio Appetizer Sampler. Queso, salsa, guacamole and chips. Recommended, see the pictures. What we were served was a little different than the description. Specifically, no queso on the relleno, regular Mexican rice, no red onion, jalapenos instead and no tortillas. Minor issues, the crispy coated relleno was excellent. Queso not needed. Overall, the meal was good. The Pibil was excellent. Salsas very good. Guacamole excellent! Order at the counter. Your food is delivered to the table. We enjoyed the food!

They have delivery in case you're staying at home. Couch potato! But the restaurant interior is fair.
