When we finally got her attention, we asked her if she had this German wine in stock. She walked over to the area, told us it was out, and couldn't get back to chatting to the two other males fast enough! Before she was able to disappear to chat, we asked about another German Riesling and her response was, "they are all about the same." Then ran off to chat again. No other recommendations, no interest in helping us spend our money at the store. I guess we should be apologizing for interrupting her conversation at work. Will never go back.

It may not have the same selection as a BCL (and slightly higher prices), or the intense specialization of a wine cellar, but the customer service here makes it 10x better, in my opinion. When I'm getting something to drink, I prefer to go for something casual that is an adventure for the palate, not just the run-of-the-mill drinks that you have time and time again. Regardless of my needs, I come in, talk to whoever is working behind the counter, and walk out knowing I chose the right bottle of wine, new beer, or cocktail ingredients. Also, I've had some tremendous conversations about various wineries, cideries, and breweries along the island and have some awesome Summer plans! As long as I live in the area, I'll be coming in here for my drankin' needs.

They are always fully staffed with employees who are available right on the floor to help you find the perfect wine. They really are knowledgeable. In addition to sorting wines by country, they've also got sections for "Top Choices"- and "Top Affordable Choices" (I think it's under $20, or maybe even under $15), so if you're not in the mood to chat you can still make an informed choice. Their selection of beers and liquers is also strong- I noticed they carry Licor 43 which is an amazing, hard-to-find Spanish liquer (try it mixed with milk like the Scandinavians do!).
