I can't say enough good things about this business. Making an appointment was easy and the woman I…read morespoke with on the phone was pleasant and helpful. When I arrived to my appointment, I didn't have to wait. Everything was right on schedule. Dr. Gallagher did a thorough eye exam and was very knowledgeable about my specific vision issues (relating to side effects from a previous procedure and an illness). He took time to answer all of my questions and I didn't feel like he was in a hurry. Back in the area where frames are sold, there was no pressure to buy frames from them. In fact, they gave me a laminated card with my prescription to take with me (presumably to make it easier to buy frames elsewhere if I wanted to). I had some unique vintage frames that I wanted to get my new prescription put into and they were able to do them for me on the premises. It's unique to find a place where someone with this skill actually works in the shop. The glasses were ready in a few days and reasonably priced. Every single person there was pleasant and helpful. I know you can buy cheap glasses online, but I'm happy to support brick and mortar businesses in the community that offers excellent service. You get what you pay for.

This is a small area and their practices are almost the only ones that take VSP insurance. Other workers OK there but my hubby needs prescription glasses before a year from now so we are heading an hour south to Concord NH where several well rated businesses take VSP for those.

I got to my appointment early and they rushed me through everything. When I asked Mitch Stazynski…read moreto please slow down so I could focus, he said that's not how it works. When he asked questions, I said that's all in my chart from my last eye doctor. He said he didn't have my chart, but he did. I told him I felt like he was yelling at me because his voice was so loud. They got my eyeglass prescription wrong and told me I had to go back again. I was told I wouldn't be charged for the 2nd office visit, but when checking out, they were going to charge me. When I asked the optometrist a money question about my glasses, she said she couldn't answer that, Mitch had to answer that. So when I asked Mitch the same question, he said he couldn't answer that. The other person had to. All I got was the run around, being rushed, no friendliness, and demanding money for a botched job on eyeglasses that they blamed on my dry eye, trying to pass off coupons to fix the problem. What an awful experience. Don't waste your time or money. They don't care about the patients.
