The bridge is clearly slanted, and at just 3 years old, is falling out (insurance companies will not replace before at least 10 years). The insertable tooth to fill a gap, never fit even after going back 3 times to have it adjusted, it never did fit (paid for, never used) I used insurance and put the rest Care Credit for the bridge and tooth, and crown. I also gave them $1000 to put as a credit on my account to use toward my mouth guard. This was not a deposit, it was not required, I asked them to put it on my account, so I did not use it on something else. After the debacle with my bridge and that damn tooth, I was done. I called several times to get my money back but never received a call back. I am regretting that I did not file suit like I was advised.

I recently had a tooth break and required dental care. I'm new to Florida and dreaded the experience of trying to find a friendly, reasonable and professional dentist. My daughter recommended Oakport Dental. Trusting her judgment (she was raised to be truthful), I made an appointment. I'm so glad I did. Making the initial appointment was a breeze, as the office scheduler, Alison, was friendly, and very helpful. On my arrival I was greeted warmly by the receptionist, Adrian, who is engaging and supportive of all customers, new and old. After a short wait, Maureen, the doctor's assistant led me to the examination room and explained to me she would be taking an x-ray. The finished x-ray was projected to a viewing screen in front of me, and Dr Aebli appeared, introduced himself and carefully pointed out the various options to resolve my dental problem. I opted to have the remaining tooth stub removed and replaced with a permanent bridge. Maureen then led me back to the front office, where Alison set up appointments and Adrian listed the procedures and all costs. While all this was taking place, I couldn't help but admire a painting hanging over Alison's desk. Seeing my interest in the painting, Alison explained to me that the painter was Dr. Aebli. Then Adrian directed my attention to the framed pencil sketches hanging on the wall behind me. I was much impressed to learn that the doctor is a man of many talents. I later learned that the two attractive inlaid tables under the drawings had been built by, you guessed it, Dr. Aebli. The art work and tables obviously reflect the efforts of someone who strives for perfection, and that is the type of person I want creating my smile. The first person to see me could barely speak English and went through what I had already confirmed online the day before, but, the language barrier made this process so difficult, she had to get someone else and I'm the one who speaks English! Finally saw dentist to discuss treatment options for a deep cleaning and nearly immediately a different guy came in to discuss payment options,etc. so a simple cleaning appointment now is turning into a $700 visit that most of this cost is not covered by insurance. The best part? They refused to do the cleaning the appointment was made for in the first place. And....they never pulled my records from the other office, nit until I told them to. Despite seeing those records they didn't seem to care. Wasted 1 1/2 hours of my time for nothing. Seemed like a staged battery of people to get me to agree to their plan.....wasn't sure if I was at a dental office or a time share presentation. I did go back to my previous dentist and let them take a look as well. You know what? While they agreed with the procedure that was recommended at Dentists of Sanford, they ran the same insurance and my insurance covers the whole thing....so why did Dentists of Sanford want so much $$? No telling. They are just generally pushy and dont seem to care about you as a person. They make you feel like you're part of their process. It's like they have forgotten they are here for you - you aren't there for them. The place was clean and nicely kept but there is zero trust here for me. Be aware that it sure felt like a high pressure sales pitch and a total refusal of my current dental treatment from another office in their network. They told him he had a "mouthful of cavities" and possibly needed one or two root canals... yet they would not tell us how many cavities, where, what teeth, whether he had gingivitis, or any specifics at all. Every single question was met with some version of, "You'll need to schedule another appointment for that" which, of course, would be another exam fee. No treatment plan, no transparency, nothing. Just a push to book a second visit before giving even the most basic details. When we asked if they could at least start anything (cleaning, filling, something) after that second "consult," the answer was a shrug and basically, "Maybe a cleaning." So essentially: two appointments, two charges, zero clarity, zero work done. Not sure who has the free time for that kind of runaround. On top of that, they tried pushing Invisalign on my husband who has never had TMJ symptoms, grinding issues, jaw pain, or anything that would justify it. They market themselves as "low-cost dentistry," but the exam is the only thing that's inexpensive. Everything else feels like an upsell or a delay tactic. They also refused to give him his X-ray and told him he'd need to call back on Monday to request it. Just strange all around. We really wanted to give this place a fair shot, but the lack of transparency, the pressure to come back for unnecessary consultations, and the random Invisalign push all added up quickly. They accommodated me when I needed to reschedule in December. Just be aware the dentist does not do her own extractions. She has another dentist come in for that, which may be inconvenient. A later x-ray found that he left part of the root system in the gums.
