Truffles, truffles, truffles! Stumbled upon this gem after visiting the nearby cathedral and finding out the bouchon I wanted to try was closed. My palate was intrigued and the experience was a highlight. A different table location and more welcoming service would've taken it from good to incroyable!
Food: La salade lyonnaise was a light but appetizing lunch, enhanced by slices of truffle. It was loaded with bacon, sundried tomatoes, and a poached egg (which was allergen friendly for me). My partner had the tagliatelle and said it was excellent. We washed this down with a light, French white wine. Yum!
Ambiance: It was cute, and very cozy. Lots of wood and modern/black features. It's small and serves as a shop for folks to by truffle products from, which made our location (right next to the refrigerator) a little awkward. Considering that there were other tables available, we probably should have been seated elsewhere.
Service: It was fine, but let's just say the food and ambiance would bring me back, not the service.
Overall, another successful experience in Lyon! read more
