i'm mad about this place! But the food was really great!! You get a little checklist and a pencil and you check off five or eight items and I checked off I believe it was scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage as well as this rhubarb raspberry berry concoction dessert at the end which is tremendously good. The coffee was sublime. Think I also had an espresso-tini, which drive the entire cost up to $50. There was also delicious bread. The whole place had that communal type of vibe that I so enjoy about Danish cafés. I asked one of the staff super- models about the little Danish flags that some of the tables had and her explanation was kind of convoluted, but I believe I understood it. Whenever there's a celebration of any kind - anything from a birthday, to someone starting a new job, to someone having a child, etc., Danes love to have a flag involved! Go here!

The server seated us RIGHT next to another pair of people all the way in the back of the restaurant…read morealthough ALL of the other tables were open. It was strange that they did that. Most dishes were good, especially the chicken nugget. I would also recommend the broccolini which was a refreshing veggie to have. Everything was unfortunately a bit too salty. There was a chia tiramisu that I thought was the best part of the meal.

Exceptional service here!…read more The owner is from Spain and do not miss a conversation with him! Friendly guy indeed. The place is chill so it was a respite on a rainy day. I like how there is a slight separation of the eating area from the takeaway/ordering area to provide more quiet time. I went there to complete some conference calls and I found it so relaxing enjoying my latte and avocado toast. The avo toast is nicely prepared. Gluten free bread is available! The avocado is neatly sliced and arranged into the bread. A light drizzle of olive oil and tap of salt and pepper finished the dish off nicely. The cafe is located off a main road but is on a quiet street.

While exploring Valby, I stumbled on this small cafe, and I am so glad I did. It was difficult to…read morechoose what to order because the menu is a mouth-watering array of options. I settled on the Hearty Bowl with a chai latte, and this was a perfect choice. The bowl was presented beautifully, and each ingredient was fresh and pleasing. The flavors balanced each other, and the warmed tahini sauce brought it all together. I didn't think I would finish it because it was so large, but I did because it was so delicious. As a vegan option, too, this was incredible. The chai latte went well with meal, owing to its delightful spice. The inside seating was cozy and comfortable, too. They have carry out if you prefer. Don't miss this place!

Easy Metro ride with one change. It was a Saturday and the restaurant hadca lot of lunch reservations. We were able to snag a table. Danish open-faced sandwich (Smørrebrød) was a novelty for us. There was a vegetarian option with Hummus. I loved the Ruth's Herring open sandwich which was very tasty. Other dishes we ordered were Half n half which is smoked salmon and smoked halibut. Tradition is to eat the open sandwich using a fork and knife if you want to eat like a local. Service was excellent. Nice draft beer pilsner. The name of the restaurant comes from the year the building was rebuilt after a fire. Since it's a old building and it's been maintained in the same way including the cute way the floor slopes. Lunch time got very crowded. Of course if you step out of this side street you will find other restaurants a long the canal and Nyhaven. I'll look forward to being back on a future trip to Copenhagen.

The Pariser was a tad dry but it was plentiful and tasted okay with the condiments. The plaice was prepared with remoulade on the side along with shrimp.
