Alex is an amazing instuctor. He explains and shows all the dance moves in a way you can relate to. He always displays a positive & energetic vibe. He makes me look forward to each & every session. Angela has a way of demonstrating dance steps in a way you can relate to. She has lots of analogies to explain the steps so they are understandable. She is positive and encouraging too. I like her positive attitude & love for dance. She coordinates well with Alex to plan a dynamic lesson each time. We look forward to seeing them both twice a week. TJ was our Instructor and couldn't have been a better person to learn from. By no means am I a dancer or known for my coordination with any type of rhythm. TJ made me feel comfortable and choreographed a simple, yet elegant 2min dance to our first dance song. Obviously we practiced. And practiced, and practiced. We danced nightly for 2 weeks. We scheduled two wedding dance classes back to back via a Groupon voucher and had our lesson with TJ. He helped us with cleaning up our choreography and just making everything more refined. He was super helpful, funny, and patient in helping us out and used a lot of analogies to explain concepts better. The studio itself is very brightly lit with strong AC. They also have cubbies for you to place shoes and/or other personal belongings. Mirrors are great and not distorted, although it's not continuous and only on one side of the room. Overall, great studio and we had a great time! Edit: 9/30/21: A week and a half after our lesson, TJ even called to check in on us for our wardrobe for the wedding. Thankfully, we weren't going to have any issues with what he was concerned with so everything was squared away. They are a very attentive group! read more

I don't know if I can express how happy I am for deciding to go here. Everyday I go in for a personal lesson or a group lesson, I always have a great time. Everyone is so nice and friendly. I'm not only talking about the staff. The other people taking the classes are super friendly. My focus is Salsa & Swing/ Hustle, But I'm already learning a lot of new dances as well as dance etiquette. My wife and I started a couple of years ago when our son was going to her married and my wife wanted to look better on the dance floor during the son and mother dance. I went reluctantly as I have always been a horrible dancer. At first we did the beginners package and only intended on completing this and not going again. However, the staff made the lessons fun so we signed up for a few more lessons. New ownership, Michael and Jhona, have introduced major changes that has created an environment for more fun while having two additional outstanding instructors (them). This place made my husband and I fall in love with dancing. I found them a few months ago to prepare for my wedding dance. I remember when I told my husband we are going to learn dancing, he gave me a funny face and said Really? Do I have to go? After two classes, my husband seemed to like it, but he never told me. One day I forgot our appointment. and then my husband got so disappointed. He said, "How could you forget it! I have been waiting for the next class.". At that point, I know he started to like dancing. Our teacher Autumn is very nice and professional. With her help, my husband and I did a good job dancing at our wedding. My expectations were blown out of the water here! Like many other couples preparing for their first dance, we needed some assistance. A mutual friend of ours got help from Juan to prepare for their first dance and the end result was very beautiful. As a result my wife booked us a lesson with Autumn and truth be told I was not looking forward to manditory dance lessons. When we arrived we were warmly greeted not only by Autumn but by her whole team. She made the initial lesson very easy to follow and logical, something that even I could follow along with. After a few lessons I could honestly say that I was having a great time dancing, while I may not be very elegant or impressive on the dance floor, you will see me moving around with a smile on my face. I have attended few of the group classes which are also a blast, there I was exposed to many different styles of dance, and instructors help along each step of the way. I even danced a little polka! So extremely grateful for Jonah and Juan!! I was less than a week out from my wedding with this dream dance and custom song and no dance skills...at all. I called, emailed, dropped into so many dance places and with no luck. They either only taught children, weren't available, didn't do custom song choices or simply didn't get back to me. I called Jonah at Arthur Murray after my friend (dancer) suggested it, and she got me an appointment that worked for me, received my song, and called me back to say how much they loved it and set me up with a fellow Disney Fan choreographer. They really made us feel welcome whenever we came in. Kristen was a really dynamic teacher and was very gracious when we were unfortunate enough to be late. you have to work hard on your own of course, but these instructors know exactly how to teach even the clumsiest dancers. My fiancee and I don't have a large budget to work with, but Arthur Murray's staff truly prioritized us even though we didn't make a huge purchase. Love this place first day I walked in it's very nice dance studio. The teachers take pride in there work. They make you feel young again. As time goes by I am learning more and more every day but that's not the point the point is at times your just so happy to belong somewhere and I feel like I belong here. I feel like when they have parties here I'm a member of one of the biggest clubs there are in the entire area of southern california. Maybe it's just me. But I love it and I love it for what it is. If this place where in hollywood it would be 10 times the best what all the famous people need a caring place and wonderful place to go to. All the ARTHUR MURRAY are great even the ones in LA but this one is by far the best one. We joined the Escondido Arthur Murray studio because while my girlfriend was a good dancer, I was not. We were amazed at how quickly we are able to dance together confidently. We were assigned to Kristen as our instructor and she was great! Not pushy or critical, she demonstrated the steps, guided us through them and gently corrected our mistakes. All of the people at the studio as well as other students were non-judgemental and very supportive in a friendly atmosphere. In addition to Kristen teaching us as a couple, we were able to attend group sessions and parties where we had the opportunity to dance with other students. The studio was very flexible when we needed to change schedules. We are taking a break from lessons while we will not be available, but we look forward to being able to take more lessons in the near future.
