She is currently a high school senior balancing final exams, end-of-year sports commitments, concerts, and other school obligations she has committed to through graduation. Throughout communication with the manager she would be reporting to, she provided the days and times she was available based on her school schedule and activities. However, no specific onboarding or training dates were clearly communicated upfront, such as mandatory dates for the team. After a misunderstanding regarding "next week" versus the week after Memorial Day -- when she actually has days off from school -- she received a message stating that more availability was expected from her. Shortly after, he informed her that he would have to let her go because of this. What was also concerning was the expectation of ongoing text communication during the school day. In New York, students are not permitted to be using their phones during school hours, yet she felt pressured to respond. Students and parents should be aware of this lack of communication and understanding when dealing with high school applicants. Clear onboarding expectations and schedules should be communicated upfront, especially when hiring students who are still actively in school. A little professionalism and respect for academics would have gone a long way here.

When Nick was the manager at this location it was great but I will say there is no chance that I would ever go back there after the completely disgraceful interaction I had on the phone with this woman. I called very confused and simply looking for clarity and solutions but I was met with utter disrespect from the girl/woman on the other end speaking to me as if I was a child in the wrong, telling me it was my responsibility to stop payments on my father in laws card after he had purchased 10 classes as a gift for me to use - this was never a purchase for a membership! Mind you, I canceled a long time ago and didn't even have an active account or membership. On top of their administrative failures they even tried to charge me for the coming month. Blood suckers
