I stopped here on a whim the other day when I was walking to the beer hall that is located at the same address and was so glad I did. I recently watched the Seinfeld cigar episode and by association, it was started playing in my memory movies and I immediately decided I was going to be a buyer. I'm only giving it four stores because as first-time cigar buyer, I wish I was given a little breakdown of the choices and suggestions on other items I might need. When I got home and started watching youtube videos, I quickly realized I probably should have gotten myself a cigar cutter and perhaps a mini blow torch lighter. As I kept on going down the cigar rabbit hole on youtube, I learned how to peel off the cigar cap and also how to give it a sufficient light with a simple bic-type lighter. I then found myself watching hilarious videos of the great Arnold Schwarzenegger smoking cigars and talking about them. I know cigars are bad for you but I bought two, one for me and one for my best friend. We both shared them over an ice cold glass of Whiskey and felt like proper kings... until we both got dizzy. I'm sure my Grandpa, who was a long-time cigar aficionado, was looking down from heaven, proud and laughing at the same time. Thanks Arthur Avenue Cigars... "I'll be back." read more

It's nice to go to a place on Arthur avenue especially summer nights. The owner is very friendly. There is a bar next door where you can order your drinks and have them delivered to the cigar lounge. read more

Great value and excellent selection. So happy they reopened. The renovation and cigar bar is simply perfect.

I like the fact that they roll the cigars right in front of you and if you purchase 7 you pay for 5. But the cigars in my opinion look great but are rolled much to tight and won't enable you to take a full draw. read more

Do you want to feel like a big shot I do that's why I smoke cigars at Arthur Avenue cigars so I can watch the crowd of people go by as they watch me puff on my tobacco but for real if you want to Cigar the owners of nice guy the place is clean so grab a stick after lunch or dinner and relax read more

Been going to this shop for 3years now, all hand rolled cigars depending on cigar filler and wrapper differ. Owner Frank will help you out just need to be straight forward on what your looking for. Atmosphere here is great chill and relax they don't serve alcohol but don't mind if you bring your own in. Special orders done quickly love the custom cigar labels he does have gotten them for countless occasions throughout the years. Good spot to stop by after lunch go in for a smoke and watch a game parking can be tough around here. Depending on what you like in a cigar they have its just a matter of asking haven't been steered wrong yet. Pick up a bundle every two weeks always in the same spot custom labeled up good to go. read more

The owner, Frank, offers deals for any special events you desire. more than enough space to hold 25 of your friends, and a flat screen tv & the comfortable leather couches will make you feel at home. although she does not sell premium cigars, there is a large selection to choose from. he specializes in dominican cigars, but ranges from mild to full body. because you are in the little italy of the bronx, parking can be very difficult. definitely worth the price to stop in for a smoke. read more

After trying out a bunch of cigar shops around the Bronx, me and a few friends decided to stick with this one. They have the freshest cigars, hand rolled. There are about 20 seats so plenty of space, nice leather seats, friendly staff. They don't serve alcohol but you're allowed to bring your own. They do serve espressos though. read more

While in the neighborhood I wanted to try a new smoke so I headed into Arthur Avenue Cigars. They have a decent selection of their own hand rolled smokes which are made with tobaccos from various Countries. The store has a lounge where you can sit and watch the game while enjoying a good smoke or you can just bag and run if need be like me. The three stars are based on the store and the selection of smokes. The person working the store was rude and short and just couldn't be bothered to answer questions regarding what fillers they use in their cigars although I did pull it out of him. I did walk out with three smokes which I feel where a little overpriced for a local Bronx cigar, but that is just me with a 500+ collection of established brand name cigars. So if your into herfing and happen to be in the area of Arthur Ave I would give them a chance, I did and if you need someone to roll cigars at your next event Arthur Avenue Cigars offers such a service. Maybe the next Yelp event will have someone rolling cigars for those of us that herf, how cool would that be : ) read more

Very nice lounge with decent house blends. Owner is ok depending on his mood. Most cigars draw on the firm side but hey some people prefer a firm draw. I will go back but will probably pay to smoke my own stuff because they place is nice enough to chill with some friends over a good smoke read more

Aweosme cigars and awesome service and ambience. Was here a few months ago to do my normal pickup of Hennessy infused cigars. Just thinking of heading down this week to get another supply and learned they have possibly close down and the place is empty? Sad day if it's closed place was a gem! read more

We had Arthur Ave cigars at our wedding last weekend and they were great. The cigars were fabulous, the gentleman rolling was professional, and they were super responsive and flexible with times and what we wanted. They came early! Only thing we regret was not getting the larger cigar package! Their pricing is also reasonable read more

nice shop, great selection, a touch pricey. wish they served alcohol.. would be nice to have a scotch or port with a good smoke....

Had an excellent time hanging out with friends. Arthur Avenue Cigars provides relaxing atmosphere and a great vibe. Come in, get a recommendation if needed, relax on a comfy leather sofa, and enjoy your cigar. Thanks Frank! (love the three haha). See you next time! read more

I think this place is just what the old neighborhood needed. I like the fact that the vast majority of the cigars are made in-house, and that specific/custom orders are taken regularly. The place just opened up and yet I already feel drawn to it. Have purchased a few different cigars here, but I have to admit that I am a fan of "Gordo" and I will be trying some of the other specialty cigars soon enough. This place is only getting better, so give them a "how you doing" and come inside where the air has a nice oaky/leathery scent. read more

Stopped in here with a friend on a slow day. Very comfy sofas, classy decor, and a pretty helpful guy behind the desk. I think they make the cigars here; there's a rolling table toward the front of the store. I wish they had a bit more of a selection, but overall I'll definitely be back here next time I'm in the area. read more
