I had made the reservations about 3 weeks before. As with the last time I booked, I was very surprised that it wastn closer to sold out already. We have been to a few different hot springs some have been pretty cool, literally. The last one was outside Fairbanks Alaska in the winter. But one thing that is common at these spots is that they are communal pools. There tends to be a creeper now and then. But Riverbend has private pools, facing the Rio Grande. So this time I made note of the temps of each individual pool on the website, and got us the hottest one. It was perfect. It really does have pools that drop off right into the Rio. It was close to dusk and the river was flowing past the long shadows in front of us. The hour of relaxation flew by. It is the best we have been to. I am sorta happy that they arent so known as to be overbooked. Because we will be back again next time we are in the area.

This place was not. I want to emphatically state that I did NOT find any evidence of bed bugs. It was the other bugs. Ants, some sort of flies, and the largest beetle that I've ever seen inside a building. I gave this place two stars as we were exhausted and was still able to sleep without getting bit.
