Throughout the years, I'd stop by, from time to time, to purchase lotto tickets and what not. And, throughout the years, The Liquor Store has never had a renovation. The place looked exactly the same as it did, since it probably opened. Now, with an update to the shopping center, and w/ a new proprietor, The Liquor Store now has a modern, more aesthetically pleasing interior. Walking in, I immediately noticed the new, sleek flooring. The lotto machine used to have a makeshift wood frame around it, which was removed. Now, The Liquor Store has a contemporary feel, in line with 7-Eleven and over convenience shops. Service was good. The gentleman working the counter was hospitable to me. There is a shared private lot. The Liquor Store is located at the Sleep Number plaza, right of Belle Vie. The third & current owners spent a lot of money to revitalize The Liquor Store, and I appreciate their effort. The new owners upgraded pretty much everything top to bottom. I gotta admit, it's impressive and nice. Even the parking lot was upgraded. For the most part everything was ok, we patronized the store very frequently. The problems started when the new employee arrived. I don't even know his name but he is there on weekends or at least that's when I've encountered him. He has no idea what he is doing, has no idea how to operate the money order machine, doesn't know how to payout a lottery ticket, has no idea how to pay you when you win a prize, etc. I can go on and on and I wanted to give him a chance. The mistakes are way too many. The thing is, he doesn't apologize in any way and actually doesn't think about how us, the customers are affected by him taking up our time. It isn't just me that notice this, a few people I know that shop here have noticed it and won't be back. Mamasan who ran the place and is much older than him ran the store flawlessly. I know you guys have worked hard making all the changes and improving the store but because of him, you're gonna lose customers. There are several liquor stores nearby, lots of competition. The one we will be going to from now on is the one that gets us in and out quick and not wastes 10 minutes of our time for no reason.
