Whenever I stop by here, their staff is friendly and quick. You tell them what you want and they get it. I have yet to see any of them write down what you need, they just remember it. They always have what I want and need. And they will ask what flavor Gatorade when that is what you are asking for. Which is nice. I use to come here in junior high...leaning on the countertops and deciding what candy or soda to get. Not to date myself, but a lot has changed & a lot hasn't. :) Very convenient...when I went there was 2 people on staff. They'll come up to your car & ask you what you want. Great selwction on dairy & dairy products; sour cream, half & half, milk. decent selection on snacks, cornnuts, candy, chips, soda too. I didn't purchase any alcohol, but they have your standard staple of beer options. From what I've heard, you have to get out of your car to purchase the alcohol(?) I am so excited!!!!! Next week my friends and I are hosting a baby shower for one of our good friends. One of the ideas they had was to do a cookie and milk bar. We wanted to have milk like in those mini milk cartons just like kids get for school lunches. I just called and I asked... TADA! They do! Pete, the person on the phone just needs to order mini milk cartons in advance. They come in chocolate milk, 2%, 1% and Whole and in packs of 35 cartons of each flavor at 40 cents each. I arrived to the area of Cerritos/Artesia/Lakewood in the year 2000 and have been a patron of this drive thru ever since. One of the reasons is that the owner(I assume), has been super kind and always serves people with a smile. He carries almost everything I need or items I frequently run out of. Going to the local Ralphs for a can of tomato sauce is inconvenient sometimes so I stop by here and pick it up. A while back, years ago...the owner gave me a bible, he had a sign up for free bibles and of course I asked for one. I didn't have one at home and I do read it and still own it. I have been coming here for decades, prefect for a quick drive through, one stop grocery essentials , when- you've -run- out- of- something- and -need- to- go -in - your -pajamas - trip. Very friendly staff. Open year-round, including some holidays! Offering fresh dairy products, which are labelled as hormone free. They carry a large variety of milk ( whole, low fat, reduced fat, fat free), whipping cream ( I always just buy this on the day I need it), butter (salted and unsalted varieties), cheese (cottage and cheddar varieties). Honey is also available, as well as eggs: brown or white, dozen or dozen plus plus - cartons of 20 and up. I've bought a carton more than once and they were mostly double yolked - how cool is that! (Not that I'm watching my cholesterol anyway)... Juice is a non-fancy brand, but it'll work when you're in a pinch. The usual snack attack foods are here : chips, ice cream. Also get their bagged ice for those last minute party needs. Alcohol (really beer) but I don't really stock up on beer. Just sayin'. I've seen expired products even at the larger grocery stores - That has NEVER happened at this location. I hope this location stays open forever. read more

First time I heard about a drive thru dairy, I thought, "Really? Drive thru dairies? Why?" Well, it turns out it's the best thing ever! I LOVE Jersey Gold Dairy. There's two drive thru lanes to accommodate driver or passenger and help with speedy service. You can drive your car right up, order what ever you want: milk, cheese, eggs, and assorted convenience goodies all at reasonable prices. Their dairy prices can be less expensive than the nearby Ralphs at times. The service is always friendly, courteous, and quick. You can also walk up and get the same great service. I sometimes walk my dog along the nearby park and stop off here to pick up some milk or butter. They give my fur baby a doggy treat and provide me with great service. I love that it's so convenient, friendly, and a local small business. I go here over the chain market whenever I can. They're awesome. read more

Has anyone gone to the Jersey Gold Dairy here on pioneer next to hmart? And has anyone else felt offended racially by the owner?.... this is like the 3rd time the owner has gave my husband rude attitude. We came to wash the car barely pulled up and he follows to our car with a rude tone asking if he was gonna wash or not that he has people waiting and to leave. We told him we just pulled up that second, and he kept repeating what he said. The last time we came a girl was parked next to my husband blasting music but just because he's the one with a Chrysler he assumes it's him when he didn't have music on at all and told him to leave when clearly it was the girl ‍ he just lost some good customers. Our whole family has been going there for years. I'm very disappointed as I've never experienced this by myself but have now experienced it 3 times when I'm with my husband. It is with the greatest sense of sadness that I feel compelled to write this review. I absolutely used to love this dairy, but after today I will never return. I have gone to this dairy for years and before today had no complaints. However, after the interaction I had today I have a huge complaint. I do not recall the man's name, but he is the one with long blond hair that he wears in a ponytail. I asked for a gallon of milk and was quoted a price of "three and a quarter". I gave him a $5 bill and said "Thanks bud, keep the change". His response was to reply in a sarcastic tone and say "Oh, the whoooole thing? ... Gee, thanks man". It took me a second to realize that the words and the tone were not matching up and that he was being a jerk. I tipped the guy $1.75 on a $3.25 total (that's 54% by the way) and his response was to act like I've insulted him. Now, I'm not upset that he was ungrateful, per se, but I am upset that his response to try and make me feel like a I did something wrong ... for tipping him ... almost $2 ... for doing almost nothing. I understand that everyone has a bad day, but this behavior was so far out of line that it cost them a customer. read more

AWESOME DRIVE THRU We like the half gallon of whole organic milk and this is the cheapest place to get it! That helps when you have a little one who finishes two a week. They carry THRIFTY ice cream in many flavors. Yes, that delicious ice cream we use to get at Thrifty stores before Rite Aid took it over. This place is perfect for moms (or dads) who need to get something from the store, but don't want to deal with all the hassle of taking out a stroller, diaper bag and the other 20 lbs of stuff we have to log around with every outing. Did I mention they have beer? You have to step out of the car to get it, but that is no problem. You can still do that in your pajamas. They don't judge. Customer service there is excellent. They are all super nice EVERY time. I have yet to have a bad experience there. If you are in the area, you should stop by. Once you shop here once you will be a believer. Great Job Pete and staff. In today's age of large Superstores gobbling up the small business man it is so nice to see that Jersey Gold has survived all of them. My parents move to East Lakewood in 72. All of us were so glad to discover Jersey Gold Dairy back then. More than once I would ride my bike over to Jersey Gold to pick up that milk or those eggs that my Mom needed. Here we are now in 2018 and this place is still here. I hope it never goes away. read more

Zero stars if i could. The owner pete, doesnt care or attend to his customers needs. Spent my hard earned money on my car wash right when the power went out, and he had no care to refund me my money as i dont have 12 hours to wait around for power to come back on. He was very rude and i dont know how he is still in buisness. Just when i think theres enough good in the world people like pete remind me there will always be an a*shole right around the corner. WOW! I enjoy this place. I always felt so imtimidated to go here thinking the prices are so high but my sister brought me while running errands. Service was friendly quick and knowledgable. Half gallon of organic milk for less than $5. Fresh. I don't mind spending the difference on tip. This great I don't have to get out of my car or spend time or eyeballs impulse buying at a full grocery or super grocery retailer. Worst off, serice becomes impersonal in self checkouts. Friendly service. Fresh food. We have been going to the dairy for the past decade. It's perfect especially when traveling with kids because you don't have to get out of the car; just drive up and let the workers know what you want. They are also super friendly and wonderful. We buy milk, lactaid, organic, and regular, ice cream, eggs etc. Plus they even have propane so when the tank for the BBQ gets low just pull up and they take it from the car and put the new one in.
